thanks for reply. my 6p is running 6.0.1 (MTC20L) before it couldn't start up. now i do the recovery steps ,i can see the version is the same. i tried everything except the factory image cause i didn't get phone unlocked.
about three days ago, i turned off my 6p ,when i restarted it , it just stuck on the google logo and then restart and stuck on the google logo again and again.
i did nothing wrong before, even i hadn't got the 7.0 official ota update, i only got a 27M updating package of september which was described as a preparation update for the update of 7.0
my device is locked both oem and the bootloader, so i can only do the reset to factory mode, clear data and cache, no use. i tried to adb sideload the recent google OTAs including MTC20L ,7.0.0 (NRD90T) 7.0.0 (NRD90U), no use. before the brick occured, i got my device ota mtc20l. now i can do nothing but wait for more help fromanyone and hoping google may give a cure.

Hello,
I appreciate there are a huge number of similar questions on this forum, but I have read a lot of them and cannot find a solution to the problem I have with my wife's Nexus 4. Hoping someone will be able to help...
Standard Nexus 4 8GB, running 4.3 OTA on Vodafone UK. Not rooted, unlocked, hacked or anything.
Yesterday it failed to make calls or pick up a network, so my wife shut it down and restarted it; since then it would not get past the X boot logo.
Tried the factory reset / cache wipe steps, many times to no avail.
Let the battery run down overnight, no change this morning.
Sideloaded the OTA from 4.3. to 4.4, accepted the code but would not boot, initially stuck at "Starting Apps" after optimising apps, then after reset stuck at 4.4 Circles logo.
Installed 4.4.2 via fastboot, after unlocked the bootloader, again installed OK but would not boot, as above.
Re-installed 4.3 via fastboot, as above, will not boot.
Now currently gone back to 4.4.2 factory image, still will not boot - sits on the circles boot logo for ever.
I am sure I have tried several different iterations to the above, the furthest I have got it "Starting Apps" screen, most common is X or Circles.
Anything else I can try before giving up?
Thanks in advance.

Hmm heard of such issues in the past where nexus wont boot with 4.3 or 4.4 !! I dont know the exact reason of the problem but what I do know is a solution for the same !!
Download the Factory Image for 4.2 Jelly Bean and fastboot the same !! Mostly youll get back your phone in the working state albeit without being able to upgrade to 4.3 or 4.4 !! Have a good day ahead !! :good:
Hi,
Thanks for the reply - I have just reloaded 4.2.2 from scratch and it is working. I then tried the OTA 4.3 upgrade and it failed, as before "starting apps" for ever, reset never boots.
Returning to 4.2.2 worked again.
What is strange is that this handset worked with 4.3 for 3 or 4 weeks before the restart yesterday...
I also tried 4.3 with .48 radio but that still failed to boot.
Hopefully someone else has a clever idea or some information around how/why this occurs, as beyond there being an underlying hardware fault (all sensors seem with androsensor) it is not logical.
Thanks.
Just so everyone's aware, I got this boot loop too today with the following scenario:
Completely stock 6p, upto date with latest MM, never been rooted, flashed, whatever.
Signed up for beta N programme today
Immediately got the N OTA update
Installed it - it rebooted post install but back into MM not N.
Rebooted - it got stuck on the Google logo for 30 minutes
Rebooted - permanent boot loop
I can get into the recovery menu and bootloader, and have tried sideloading the latest 7 OTA but still have the bootloop. Reset/cache clearing all tried.
Annoyingly my bootloader is locked - I've never tried doing anything other than installing standard OTA updates from Google so was unaware that unlocking it might save my bacon until it was too late.
I guess it's a phone call to Google tomorrow....
Update - sideloading this installed OK but I still have the boot loop:
6.0.1 (MTC20F) Link 5a1e93e9974908a0683a4ac8a732b81023f4b01182fd3ead3f091f54300de5ce
So all is not lost. I have an unlocked bootloader, but everything else the same as you. Doesn't really matter as I'm unable to flash anything....even updated my android SDK.
Anyway, I too signed up for Android beta program this morning, and instantly got the N update. Boom bootloop. Non stop. Most I could get it was 20 minutes after a factory reset.
What has worked for me (since 12pm today) was a factory reset and upon signing in to setup. I didn't. I set it up like it was brand new and didn't take ANY restore of apps or data from Google. I added my Gmail after and it's up and running with no reboots for 8 hours now.
It really sucks. The only thing I was able to salvage were my ringtones and notification sounds. It's like starting with a brand new phone ( froyo days without titanium backup). Google has a list of all your apps in the store but reinstalling all of them and logging in is a real pia. Been at it all day. But I do have a functioning stable Android 7.
Hi,
I have a rooted nexus 6p, all was well until it decided to reboot and boot-loop when I opened my music app. I get as far as the white Google logo then the phone restarts and I'm back to the normal warning then Google logo then reboot.
I have managed to get into the recovery screen (with the android laying down) but when i choose recovery mode the phone just starts boot-looping again.
I am wondering if I have somehow managed to hard brick it?
I have tried to flash the latest OS onto my phone but it said no signature.
I did managed to wipe the device also.
Thanks for any help.
Are you on Nougat or still on MM? Since you're rooted, it means you didn't receive an OTA. Did you flash it yourself, originally?

When my phone started playing up I was still on MM 6.0.1, I tried to flash N after the boot-looping started.
Thanks
Good morning.
I was running 7.1.1 Dev 1 until yesterday afternoon.
The upgrade to Dev 2 popped up and I said no.
When I came back to my phone it was stuck in a boot loop.
I turned the device off and back on but it still was in a boot loop.
I decided to flash Stock NBD90X.
There was no issue with the flash.
The phone though is still in a boot loop and I am unsure where to go from here.
When I was running Dev 1 7.1.1 it was rooted and running Google assistant with the Pixel build prop. Could that be the issue?.
Any help gratefully received.

This has been an ongoing thing with the 6P and 5X, there are multiple threads on this bootlopop issue some recoverable, some not. Check this out see if it helps..

Thanks for the support, I will take a look.
I've read too many threads about 7.1 and the beta program causing boot loops and bricks....this is ridiculous!
Do you have a nandroid on hand? If so, try restoring it and see if that works.
I have only boot looped twice with this phone. Each time I went into TWRP and did a full wipe (everything except internal storage). I completed the full wipe three times consecutively. After the third wipe I boot into fastboot and flash the latest stock images from Google. Reboot.
Let the phone sit for 10-15 minutes then boot back into fastboot to flash custom recovery (TWRP). Then boot into recovery to flash SuperSU. Reboot. Let phone sit for another fifteen before continuing with setup.
I know wiping the device three times probably doesn't do anything extra than wiping once before flashing but it's what I've always done and what's always worked for me.
I dug out my old Nexus 10 (mantaray/manta) to mess with it and firstly it booted up fine and I updated Android to 5.1.1 (system update). All was well. I was going to flash Pie onto it, so I booted to the bootloader and connected it and unlocked it via fastboot oem unlock. Ever since I did that it will not get passed the boot (colorful balls) screen. I can get back into the bootloader. Next I cleared the cache and then also did a factory reset, same issue. So I flashed the official 5.1.1 (LMY49J) image, and still have the same issue!
No clue how to get to some state where I can boot this thing. My end goal is to have Android Pie / vanilla on it. What should I do?
Edit: I think what I did was I flashed an update rather than the full OTA. I can't find it, so maybe someone can point me to it?

Mine does it aswell, but after like 20 min it boots up. I flash mine with the "Nexus Rool Toolkit" with the option "Flash Stock + Unroot", in your case i wull put the radio button on "Softbrick/Bootloop". Then follow the steps on the screen and then when it reboots the programm will tell you that you need to wait like 20 min. And then it should be up and running again
