Recently I have installed slimkat 4.4.2 on my old Defy MB525.
Kernel 2.6.32.9-Aerokernel
After the screen turns off (due to time lapsed or pressing the power button) I can't have it back on.
I tried everything but the phone keeps "locked" with the screen off.
Even if there is a incoming call the screen keeps off.
I have to take out the battery and start the phone again to see the screen turning on.
Have you noticed something like this before??

Hi all.
Got a tweaked XXLB1 rom on my Note. Can't remember which kernel that came with it.
Tried out different kernels, but no matter which I try I have gotten this new problem.
Everything boots great. Rom starts. But as soon as I turn of the screen (click the power button) I can't turn it on again. Well, it turns on "underneath" i could take a screenshots with power+menu and heared the "shutter sound".
But the screen stays black, but the backlight increases very rapidly. And many little 'stars' (from the AMOLED screen) appears.
Have to reset the phone by holding POWER.

Hi people. i need help! all of a sudden led screen of my gt-i9500 whet dark. the phone is turning on and working. i can unlock my phone by drawing my pattern code and i the phone vibrates when i draw the pattern and i know touching is working. soft keys also are also working. but the screen is completely black. i thought that it can be software issue so i tried to boot into recovery and download mod. recovery mod shows nothing. but when i boot into download mod, sometimes there is a sudden green flash and sometimes the text and the android logo appear for like a second or less, in a very low brightness and then turns completely black again. so i guess it is not burnt. is there something i can do? please help me!!

My phone, never never fallen or been hit. Always with case and the original charger, but few weeks ago, the phone randomly begans to screen blinking, after these issue its lost all the sound of notifications.
When all these things happens, the phone turn off and doesnt power up.
For turn on again, I have to press volume up, on/off anda home button together…
My SMART Phone its all stock, no roms, no kernels, nothing...

Yeah, so my friends S3 Neo running stock 4.4.4 has this weird problem: The phone will work completely fine but if you press the lock button, the phone will lock. Once you press it again to turn the screen on, the screen does NOT come on, ever. You need to reboot the phone to have the screen on again. Even tried flashing another stock firmware but still the same. Anyone know of a fix? Thank you!

I'm having something similar to black screen of death problem. When I turn on my phone, it's working until I lock it.
When I try to unlock it, my screen is black and only the buttons at the bottom and the notification LED is working.
I've tried pulling out the battery and the sd card and holding the power button for 1 minute, and many different variations of this method, but it didn't work.
I'm running on CM 13.0 but it happens on every ROM.
Please help :crying:
This happens on a the latest stock ROM too? If yes, sounds like a hardware problem.
