Its most likely that the J5 is in battery saving mode. That mode does sometimes turn the vibration off. If it doesn't help, check your settings.

Thats weird. The only thing that could enable or disable the touch vibration on my J5 is the battery saving mode.

is this posible touch vibration feedback on soft keys on j5 ?
could you solve the vibration feedback turn on?
i dont find it in my preferenses setings
I think it's to late to answer this, but...
in my J5 2016 (SM-G570Y/DS) and my friend J5 2016 (SM-G570F/DS), i can't find the option to turn on vibration haptic feedback. Once i try to contact samsung and they said J5 2016 don't have vibration haptic feedback option, only sound feedback available
So, you actually can't have vibration haptic feedback in j5 2016, but i don't know if you can use third party app or not.

I found a new bug.
When you turn off the haptic feedback, the phone still vibrates (like while answering or rejecting a call). However, when you activate the haptic feedback and adjust the intensity of vibration to 0) then even if you uncheck the haptic feedback, the settings works!!!
This means that the vibration intensity which is the sub function of haptic feedback overrides the haptic feedback whether it is switched on or off, What a joke !!!
I came across this while trying to turn off the vibration while answering and rejecting a call. I saw that haptic feedback is turned off and still the phone was vibrating, so i activated the haptic feedback and so the vibration intensity also got activated, then i slide it to 0 and then i disabled the haptic feedback and lo! the phone stopped vibrating.
Maybe you should write which firmware version you are using since on XWKF3 its ok for me.
works fine on my rom...
Isn't that supposed to be deactivated from call settings ? I think it's got nothing to do with haptic feedback settings.

On KH3 (2.3.4), it's under settings > call > call alerts > outgoing call vibration.
Unless I misunderstood what you were trying to do.
Haptic feedback setting under settings > sound is mostly for the menu & back keys.
Sounds like user error and stop the !!!!!!! Please
What was wrong with your other thread.
Most of the time the problem exists between keyboard and chair..
Here it exists between touch screen and back of users head.
Seeing as its not a new bug, will you re-title the thread?

Computer user, not terminal
Topic should be "USER ERROR."
Dont know what shud be the title , but it has solved a big problem i was facing. After sending bulk sms's, i get bulk notifications from my service provider (airtel) in the form of flash messages indicating me my balance and each time the phone used to vibrate and it was very annoying. I had tried all the settings and nothing worked, but setting haptic feedback ON and then decreasing its intensity to zero has solved the problem. so i also feel that thr is some bug here may be in some ROMs.
Hi forum,
So I recently restored my note, and something felt off. It turns out that haptic feedback is not working. I have seen people saying how power-saving mode is what causes this, but I have it turned off. There is no haptic feedback on the soft keys, while holding down the home button, or while typing on the keyboard(when the vibration feature is turned on). All help is greatly appreciated!
tell us more!
vibration works?
Why this phone doesn't have haptic feedback (vibrations) when working on it ?
There is option just to vibrate when calling, but no vibration when typing, etc?
Thanks
This phone has nothing my stupid galaxy ace has backlight buttons and haptic feedback but this phone don't have nothing i'm thinking to sell this product really failed unit from Samsung...
Yes, big fail of Samsung, I hope they can fix the haptic feedback in next software updates
I don't seem to be able to turn the vibration off during screen unlock. All other haptic feedback on keypress can be turn off.
Anyone manged to turn it off?
Thanks

You can do that by disabling vibrations in the notification menu And setting "do not disturb mode" in "total silence mode"
Hi it works but I did not mean it because everything is turned off. Maybe there is a program that turns off all the vibrations on the phone because I did not find. root I do not have a thank you
You can install any quicksetting app like "shortcutter" from playstore...and create a toggle for sound/vibrate. Root is not required for that.
There's even an app for remapping hard buttons without root nowdays.
If you have Xposed installed, Vibration Tuner can stop the phone from vibrating.
I was playing around with my wife's G6 tonight and I noticed every time I made a touch or anything in the phone there was no haptic vibrate going on. But before her phone always had a very nice haptic feedback on it.
I checked all settings like sound had vibrate to tap on I went to other settings with haptic feedback and they looked to all be checked and enabled.
So why isn't her phone vibrating ?
No one has an idea what's up ?
I went through all Settings options, turned off and back on Vibrate to tap. Still doesn't work.

It could be that the vibration motor is dead or damaged...

Haptic actuators don't use motors.
Make sure your battery saving is turn off, turning on battery saving will disable haptic feedback.
