You need to reroot the phone. Loading stock ia odin removes root.

You can disable verizon apps from system settings...
The message about the sim is not from verizon: long press, info, stop it. Works untill next reboot. Or just remove it from TitaniumB (Activation Agent).

Hey,
I'm new here and this my first message
I got a sph-l720 (Sprint s4) and it's locked to international GSM, I try to use this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2415587
But it dosent work for me and because Im new I cant reply there, I downgrade Baseband from mf9 to mdc and even doing root to the phone and the last step with computer software still dosent work !
I see here another way with service mode but in this phone it's say "limited", and someone said something about ME2 baseband but i can't find download of it.
Any suggetions that can Help me?

Receiving "SIM card from unknown source" on unlocked S5??

hi all,
short story: Friend on T-Mobile needed a new phone. I bought them a Unlocked Americas S5 (SM-G900H) on amazon. They received it today. Swap sim cards from their damaged s4. Have them set it to global in network settings, have them change the ADN, and a couple other settings to get it to work on T-Mobile. Find out what was sent was a unlocked Verizon S5 model (SM-G900V) according to their system info screen. They also see Verizon apps installed and whatnot, and bootloader. Either way, they are able to receive data, text, calls. And they are getting 4GLTE just fine (shows and detcts it as tmobile, and they can download and browse the net, no issues), not HPSA+. Work like a charm as far as data and voice go.
However, only one issue.... they keep getting a "SIM Card is from a unknown source" warning on the taskbar that's just annoying. I had them root their phone, install supers, and install a root file browser after finding some information to freeze or remove "vzwphoneservice.apk" which seems to fix this same issues for others on older android phones. Problem is, its not there... not in system\app and not in system\priv-app where it should be. They use 4.4.2 kitkat. So I check my own note 3, which is also Verizon and has 4.4.2 kitkat. Im rooted, check same folders, that file is not in either of those directories.
To me, its apparent Verizon has changed the filename. Just trying to find out what it is so I can freeze or remove it to get rid of that Verizon "SIM Card from unknown source" warning.
Any suggestions or ideas? would be greatly appreciated

Confirm that both vzwphoneservice.apk and vzwphoneservice.odex are renamed or removed. You may also need to rename VzwController.apk and VzwController.odex and clear your phone cache (from recovery mode).
These are Verizon setup files and it is looking for an encrypted SIM that CDMA carriers like to use. The above should vanquish the message unless you have really rotten luck vis a viz Verizon having added yet another Kitkat setup package.

did you ever figure this out ?
One post wonders. New members who solicit our help to solve their issue. But they don't have the courtesy to even let us know how the situation resolved. Perhaps it's an outright waste of time to try helping people with less than n posts.

Hey guys, please don't feel that way. I am actually having the exact same issue, however I am unable to locate the files specified. Can you please direct me where to find these files? I will respond to let you know if it worked or not.

Welcome to XDA.
It would be good if you started a new thread though, rather than hijack someone else's thread on a similar topic.
Tell us what you tried looking for (filenames, where.. using what app, etc. and what phone model you have.. as many details as you can) and lots of us will try to help you out.

[Q] Need stock c4 firmware note 3 n900v

I am absolutely new to this, I have a huge problem. I got my Verizon Note 3 n900v from the US today, and i live in Bangladesh. Now the problem is after i put my sim card in, everything works fine except that it keeps showing the phone activation warning. (unrecognised sim)
Also whenever i try to press the software update, it says service not available :S
So what i want to do is flash the stock firmware and see if the problem goes away or not.
Please help me by giving me the solution to this problem..

No phone calls?

Hey guys, I come here very often and now I'm going to have to open this thread because I've seen absolutely no posts about my problem..
My S6 Edge+ is currently unable to make any calls and I don't know why..:crying: the strange part is that I can still send text messages and use my SIM's mobile data... Another weird thing is that whenever I reboot the phone, my WiFi passwords are forgotten..
Can any one help me? I'm currently running android 6.0.1 and I am considering downgrading it to 5.0.1 to see if it solves the issue...
Still needing help..
No one?? I really need some help since I've tried 4 different roms and modems ano nothing seems to work....
Have you wiped everything and then flashed a stock rom?
/CK

Which variant do you have and which MM firmware did you flash? Check your modem, imei, network operator etc and provide that info here.
Also wifi password IMO related with
Code:
ro.securestorage.support=true
this line in build.prop. I would suggest you to add this line under 'ADDITIONAL_BUILD_PROPERTIES' in build.prop but assume you havent rooted your device. If have, add it.

I've downgraded to 5.1.1 and it didn't work, I have the international version of the s6 edge plus and now I'm looking for a new ROM to test to see if I can solve it.. I've checked my imei in two different websites and on imei.info it comes clear, but the other site gives me a blacklisted warning, which makes me think since I bought it online second hand... it probably was reported stolen or lost and now it's blocked... which ise rather inconvenient. .
If I go to SIM Card Status it says "Not Available" everywhere, but on imei information it says my imei and on IMEISV the value is 01. It's network unlocked and right now I'm about to flash a new ROM, probably stock..
Hello, I have the same problem at boot after I receive the call when making a call nothing remains of numbering you have a solution? thank you cordially guillaume
Hi guys, I know this is a really old thread but I'm here just to say that the problem was with the IMEI, it was blacklisted..
I changed it with a friend and then everything worked fine..
Thanks for you help mates!

You can go to imei.info and there's a paid check.

(SM - G900P) Bootloader issue Please Help.!!!

Hello Everyone,
I am from Pakistan. I got my SM-G900P from my cousin from US. It is a sprint model but when booting up it shows Virgin logo. I have a problem that when I install official marshmallow I get "emergency calls only" where as the sim toolkit is working. And when I flash cm 14 it works great but signals on work on NE5 modem. Can anyone tell me the solution for this. I need to use marshmallow. Any required modem for that? And I can't downgrade when downgrading I always get sw rev check fail fused3 > binary 1. Please help me.
Help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
