WIFI extreamly slow - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just got my opt, and when i connect to a wifi network (tried a few) the speed is like 0.07mbps, with any other device in my home i get around 50mbps...i tried rebooting my opt and router and also factory reset, but it doesnt fix the problem. I also tried cm13, same issue. It shows great signal, and it connects easily, only the speed is the problem. And if i get my opt close to my router (1cm) i get full speed but otherwise is under 0.1mbps. Anyone had these issues? I googled and looked on xda but with no luck.

Anyone?

Wifi connected but still not working

Hi, Ive been having problems with my wifi connections lately. Im running stock rom on my vibrant and from time to time I have trouble with the wifi conection. the vibrant will connect just fine with a strong signal but will not load webpages, or open market. This problem happens sometimes. The connection is a secure wap. I am wondering what I can do to fix this issue, its really frustrating.
Thanks in advance
btw all other devices in the house have no problem connecting and using this connection. Sometimes I will have my laptop in front of me using this very conneciton.
Happens to me all the time. Have to disconnect it and reconnect. If it still doesn't work, you have to reset your phone.
My friend is having same problem with wife on his Vibrant....is the a hardware or software problem? Because I had Captivate and it never had this problem since I had the phone.
WIFI is good and connect is Excellent.... but just can't use it to surf web or log on fring.....HOWEVER, it was able to logon the Market today using wifi.. Does anyone know why and how to fix this problem?
Thanks!!
What exactly do you mean by reset? you mean a factory restore? Im finally likng the battery life on this phone I dont want to lose that, will that be affected? Is there any other fix?

[SOLVED] Strange Wifi problem, need help

Hi
I have a problem about accessing internet using wifi. I connect to network, it's ok. But after nearly 30 seconds i cant access internet anymore. My phone says everything is ok, i am connected to my modem, my internet connection is ok but i cant use it on my HD before turning off- and on- my wifi. But i can only use internet for a short time again.
I tried hard reset but everythings is still the same. I am using BlackstoneHenge max stability&speed rom.
So what causes that problem? What should i do?
have you tried turning off your router and turning it back on after a few minutes ?
also try and set the wifi signal strength of the blackstone to performance and not battery. that way, the signal will be stronger and probably not drop. i had the same issue yesterday after flashing another rom, without setting it to full performance, the wi-fi would constantly drop signal and even when i was connected, it would not access the internet properly.
thanks chef_tony and mjuksel
i disabled power save mode of wifi and set to performance mode as you suggested. my problem looks solved now, thanks so much

[Q] Xoom reseting after connecting Wifi network

I have a Xoom MZ601 from Hong Kong, running Tiamat-Xoom-Rom-2.2.2.Moray
It was working OK until a few days ago. System boots up ok. I can open programs and settings. However, as soon as it hooks to a wifi network, it reset itself.
I've tried pulling the SIM card and micro SD in and out.
I've played around the frequency (Tiamat settings)
I've tried uninstalling all programs I installed in the last few days.
... and still no luck.
Any idea anyone?
Did you try wiping in recovery and starting over?
Sorry to thanks too late, I was overseas.
Thanks for the advise. I've tried that and still the same problem.
Somehow, it happens when the tablet loses the Wifi signal. It reset itself. After it re-start, it keeps reseting itself when connecting to my home network.
I managed to make it work by going to setting quickly and disabling the wifi.
The only way to make the wifi to work again is turning off my wireless modem, then let the tablet boot up and fail to connect to any wifi. I will then turn on my modem, "et voila" it works again.
Very Strange glitch.
Any one have similar issue?
I don't know if my issue is related to the Wifi or not, but mine has been randomly rebooting constantly! I can't pin-point exactly a cause, however, I've tried to factory reset it many times to no avail...
I'm thinking now it could be the modem.
I'm using the Dynalink RTA1046VW. I'll try playing with it.

Wifi Troubleshooting

My device was working perfectly fine today until suddenly it stopped being able to find any Wifi networks of any kind. It doesn't say there's any issue, it still scans, but it doesn't find anything at all. I'm searching on my uni campus, so I know that in any one place there's about 12 connections, and my phone has no issue finding them.
I've done a factory restore, but it didn't seem to help in any way. Is there anything anyone can suggest?
Edit:
Bluetooth still works, but I'm not sure if they're on the same chip in the 7.7
I just had similar issue with my home wifi,
Other devices works fine, and there's no problem connecting to other wifis..
I tried deleting the dhcp list via root explorer, tried wifi fix, rebooting couple of times but none worked..
Then i tried to reboot the router and surprisingly it works!
It's probably because the router is giving a static address that's different with the previously recorded in your tab.. But i'm not sure..
So if your tab still works in other wifis then chances are the router needs to be restarted..
No WiFi networks show up at -all-. I've got a completely blank list, even though there's plenty of connections available.

Wifi and 4G stuck together - how to fix this?

I know i'm not alone since i've seen this issue not only on my phone. When i'm at home my phone is mostly connected to wifi. My router is Linksys AC1900. Sometimes both the wifi and 4G icons appear together. when this happens my battery is draining like hell. a simple restart of the phone or the router is not a solution - i found that in order to make the 4G icon go away i need to first turn off the router so the phone is connected only to the mobile network, than i have to turn off both the data connection and wifi of the phone; than i need to go and clean the cache through the builtin recovery menu. the problem is that sometimes even performing all these things is not enough and the 4G icon won't go away. Download booster and Smart network switch are both turned off, but playing with them do not really affect the issue. also i tried connecting to both 2.4 or 5ghz wifi with no difference. i also tried setting a fixed IP address for my phone, but again this does not affect the issue. any ideas? i'm pretty certain that it's not a hardware issue since i've seen it happening to other people too. it's quite annoying since it's totally destroying the battery life of the phone and it seems that there's no real solution for this behavior.
What model number is your phone? Have you considered reflashing firmware / factory resetting the phone?
The model is 935f. I've tried reflashing with stock several times (the phone is not rooted) but after a while the problem comes back. This is the only issue I've had with this phone but it's quite annoying.
I've got the same issue. The only solution i've seen till now is to reflash with a custom rom.
Same
I have picked up the same type of issue. I did some snooping around and have found that if I have my mobile data on when in the streets and when I get home and I turn on my wifi, that if my wifi signal is very bad and my mobile data is on, then it would show both signals. It's as if the phone tries to get whatever data from both, since the wifi is so bad. I agree that it really chows the battery. The only fix I could get to work is to switch of the data and move closer to the wifi where it's the strongest. I will sit at the router for a minute or two, It then automatically removes the 4g sign and only works on wifi. If I stay where the wifi signal is bad and disable mobile, it stays there even though my data is off.
Did you do a factory reset and restore your phone to its original settings?
