No Trusted Face with Smart Lock - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I use Smart Lock, and I noticed that on my friends Samsung device, he has Trusted Face as an option for Smart Lock.
Its not available on my Note 4.
Is this normal?
If not any idea as to why its missing?
Thanks!

[Q] When disconnected from gear, I want fingerprint lock.

I've set my s5, when it disconnects from my gear 2 neo, to lock with pattern lock, I want to set it on fingerprint lock when it disconnects from the gear, and when near the gear no lock. Gear manager gives only the pattern lock, Is there any way I could make this work?

Smart lock

Don't use it if you use finger print scanner. I connected my BT headphones and the smart lock prompt appeared. I switched it on but unlocking the phone will require a 2 step process.
Smart lock doesn't seem to be in the menu either, so Samsung must of taken it out. I had to unpair my device to fix it.
Settings > Lock screen and security > Other security settings > Trust agents

Try setting it up right next door, and then turn your phone off, then back on. That's what finally fixed mine, and now it works perfectly.
Smart lock works but its quicker to turn it off and just put your fingerprint over the home button.
With smart lock on you have to turn on the screen and then swipe.

It's useful when driving and the phone's in a dash mount. Nothing like trying to get a fingerprint unlock while driving. With smart lock I tap the power button and swipe the screen all without looking at it. Also at work I wear gloves so I can't scan my thumb, again swiping is easier there.
But everyone's situation is different. I for sure don't have my home set up as a trusted place, don't need my roommates rummaging through my phone.
No problems here. I have my Moto 360 as a trusted device as well as my location at home. So far, no problems. No two step authorization. Just hit the power button and swipe up to go.
wlan
i also dont understand why they dont add a trusted wlan to the location options
would be much more efficient then gps...

I use both just fine.
Somehow it won't work with my home wifi. Am I missing something?
The way I understand it smart lock keeps my phone unlocked even though a lock is enabled under custom circumstances? In my case I want it to be unlocked while connected to my home wifi.
What could be the issue here because even though I'm connected to my home wifi, when a lock is set I always have to unlock the phone.

Even with smart lock, send to phone cannot bypass swipe lockscreen

I cannot, for the life of me, get send to phone to unlock the phone and display the content on my sprint note 4 before I have it in my hand. If I have to swipe and unlock I might as well have pulled out the phone and treasured the notification. Smart lock turns on swipe lockscreen, I'd like it to either set lockscreen to none when a trusted device is connected, or to slow the watch to unlock the phone when sending content. It seems I'm the only person who has this problem. Any help?

Smart Lock remaining enabled when it shouldn't

Hi,
Been noticing lately that the Smart Lock function has been remaining enabled when it shouldn't be. If I go and look at the Smart Lock settings, I have trusted places and trusted devices enabled. The only location I allow is at home and the devices are my car and various headphones. I'm at work and all of my headphones show as disconnected, yet the phone still unlocks with just a swipe. This functionality has been happening since before and after the latest system update that occurred on 2/23.
I haven't yet deleted all of the devices or location, but I could. Any ideas? Thx!

Smart Lock - trusted places problem

I don't understand why but Smart Lock just doesn't want to acknowledge my trusted places. Is there some trick as usual with Android where you have to do some bizarre thing for a feature to work properly? I have to unlock constantly in every place that I've designated as not needing the lock PIN.
Thanks for any help!
