hi
I have a rooted nexus 6p and I tried to install gmd hide soft keys.
and the "checking root access" bar stuck and I cant use the app...
what can I do?
thanks
How do you have rooted it?
I had that issue, too. I use SuperSU, I was on the previous 2.78 when I tried to use the app, but after it didn't work, I uninstalled the app.
The app description on the play store gives no mention of N, and looks to have not been updated since October of last year. Maybe it's a compatibility issue?
It's probably not compatible with systemless root.
You can try hide navbar with substratum and then use a different navigation mode like pie or swipe/gestures

It depends on what you like... Pie Control is for the pie navigation mode or one app that I like too very much is Swipe Gesture (IAP on the play store)
There is even Dynamic NavBar but I remember that on my Marshmallow causes problem when I was on Nexus 5 after that I haven't more tried on Nougat..
I had the same problem trying out GMD Gesture Control Lite and stumbled upon a workaround. Not sure if it will work with the other GMD apps, but it might be worth a try.
When you first open the app after installing, hit the home button to exit to the desktop when SuperSU asks you to grant permission before the time runs out. Then go into SuperSU and manually grant permission to the app. Then go to the app and it should have root access.
Tried for curiosity GMD auto hide soft keys and same problem..it asks root access but then it stuck on "checking root access" for unknown reasons... On SuperSU access is granted.. I think the app is not fully ready for Nougat

Also worked for me. Before I had the same issue, forever stuck on the "checking root access" bug.
Thank you so much!

Hi all. I've installed kodi and with the confluence ++ skin. There are a few observations and questions I would be grateful if someone could help point me to the right direction.
1. I cannot get the power suspend option on kodi like how it exists in spmc. Is there a settin somewhere to enable it.? I cannot seem to find it. maybe some config file?
2. When adding 7 tiles to the bottom, the first tile gets slightly cut.
3. With rbox's boot menu. Is there a way to disable the boot menu display on every boot? or at least decrease the time of 5 seconds?
Really appreciate your help.
I tried to add the power options from elmero's repo but that requires the su and when I try to run the su script, it fails. however I do have root. am confused to make kodi my main OS yet . any guidance?
have you went into the SU app under the FTV menu ( the OEM rom, not XBMC ) and launch SU. Update binaries and apply etc. Try that.

what is the su app you are referring to in the ftv menu? I have supersu and I have an option to force stop only
also when I try spmc, I get the power options
confused.
Open superuser from the FTV app list and let it update.

I have the supersu application. That does not have an open option. I also downloaded the superuser from the playstore and I still get eh checksu.py script failure. on spmc I too get the script failure but I have the power options working just fine.
Sorry man, there should be an option to update binaries like in any SU app.. Which version are you using
When I installed rbox's CMW recovery and custom ROMs I lost the ability to open su. I believe this is a known issue.

For now I'm still sticking to spmc. I don't think helix has the support ready yet. SPMC 13.3.2 (not the latest one) works the best with .ts files as well.
Hello everyone.
I'd like to try using gestures on my new Note 4, something I always loved on my iPad.
I tried installing GMD gesture control. After installing the app, upon launching, the app gets root access through SuperSu, but for some reason, the app doesn't recognize that, and keeps being stuck on the root access check page.
Any idea what could be wrong with it?
Thanks!

hi ,
i have N910F ( Snap ).and have GMD installed on my device ( since i got phone in ,October 2014.)
I have absolute, no problems at all with GMD .
(i also had it installed on my Note 3 , so i do know app well ,also had no problems with GMD .)
I would suggest maybe uninstall GMD ,reboot device and install GMD again ?
Also i am not sure your reference to "keeps being stuck on the root access check page".
Which app "page are you refering to SuperSu or GMD ?
Also have you unticked option in SuperSu ' Tapjacking protection " in SuperSU ?
good luck
Reset and reinstall did the trick, thanks ☺

hi I have a problem with magisk, when I select applications that I want to hide on magisk hide once the device is rebooted many things don't work properly.
-Youtube vanced crasha at startup
- the su command on the Android Terminal sometimes only works the first time after restarting the phone and gives me the error "system / bin / sh: su: not found"
-swift installer does not apply the theme to some apps
- apps that use root continue to detect it correctly
if I deselect all the apps except play services on magisk hide everything goes back to work.
it just happens to me? I'm on oxygenos 9.0.13

I just Google magisk hide Pokémon go and I guess Pokémon go checks for other root apps. Try hiding more apps or all. If not you can try doing more research to get it working

I found the solution. The problem was caused by the permissions that I had changed on pokemon go with Apps Ops. Thanks
I'm trying to use Securus Mobile on my Moto G5+, and I do have the phone rooted and it is passing SafetyNet I think (pretty new to this, I haven't used any other app that checks for root access, I don't game, I mainly use root for Titanium Backup but also for a couple of niche things).

But, this dang app is checking for something that it sees on my device. I just want to add money to my account with Securus and call my family member in prison, what things should I look at so I can use this app to make voice calls (the institution has no other option for calling in or out, no desktop program)?
Thank you, anyone who can help or even just to point me in the right direction. I appreciate it.
First try going to Magisk -> Magisk Hide, select the Securus Mobile app, then try again. You might need to force close the app. If it still doesn't works, try going to Magisk settings -> Hide Magisk Manager, then try again. It should work this time.
If it still doesn't works... then you'll probably have to unroot.
Good stuff

I also did the option to hide the package name, but I hadn't done force close yet on Securus Mobile. It looks like it works.
Thank you nice person!

I'm donating to Magisk as soon as I get paid this week :victory:

Good to know that it worked! I've used this to play Pokémon Go, it refused to open if it detected Magisk.
Hi,
I root my Redmi Note 7 and I found some games can't run with root. Is there any app or any methods to turn off/on very easy(e.g. one button switch)? Thanks for your help.
How did you root your phone, if you used Magisk you can hide root for individual apps from within Magisk manager. There is a setting calked Magisk hide, select the apps from within there.

Thanks for your reply about Magisk manager

>I am sorry. I forget. I just follow a document from XiaoMi website and I think I have installed Magisk and I also enable Magisk hide, too. But the game still auto close when I launch. I confirm this with other players and they say "yes, the new game(DQMSL: Dragon Quest Monster Super Light Japanese Version) update will detect a root device". Maybe I do not install Magisk correctly. Anyway, Thank you very much for your reply.
