Possible to downgrade S7 Edge to bypass FRP lock? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

Would it be possible to downgrade an S7 Edge to bypass the Gmail lockout issue? It seems there were some steps to get around the activation lock in earlier firmware which has since been patched out.
I would assume once downgraded we should be able to use one of the methods below.

Well I guess that is a banned topic lol

Yes, it is possible. I have done it myself. When you downgrade to the oldest firmware, you'll still follow the instructions given by Progeeksblog post.

That's correct works perfect when you downgrade, bypass then upgrade have done it and it works...

You say its possible to downgrade to get by frp lock? But i'm also reading that can't downgrade past ph1 cause of bootloader upgrade. I downgraded to ph1 last night and I couldn't get side sync or thumb drive to pop up. I'm confused. is it even possible to bypass the lock anymore?

for all who updated to Android 6.0.1 with an pushed OTA Update. There is currently no way to downgrade and bypass frp lock
If you upgrade without unlocked bootloader, your device will be FRP locked. The not visible OEM-Unlock option is some kind of bug. without it you´re not able to unlock the bootloader and rollback.
You have to wait for a new update or an official rollback file from moto

Galaxy S6 Edge FRP Lock, OEM Unlock propably unchecked

So, my friend gave me his S6 Edge+ today and told me that he's stuck with the Google FRP. I tried downgrading to 6.0.1 as I did with my S7. Yet though his S6 seemed to be on the latest update from Samsung (Nougat+Security Patch).
Now when I try to flash via Odin, the phone gives me a "system rev. check fail device 1 binary 0" error and I have to reflash the latest Firmware.
What can I do?
Help would be apreciated.
This error is because you are trying to downgrade you need to flash latest firmware to fix your issue

I don't know how to bypass the Google FRP. I flashed the latest firmware already.
tell your friend to give the Google account password. The method to bypass frp is profit not allowed to be written here as it violates terms I think.

Could I downgrade to 7.0 if I wanted to root? (SM-G955W)

For the past hour and a half, I've been searching the forums and YouTube (no matter how stupid that sounds) if there was any possible way to get past the 'Secure Check Fail: recovery' problem with my S8+
I've seen one where you flash custom firmware onto the phone, but that involved the SM-G950U.
But that got me thinking; was it possible to downgrade to 7.0 Nougat in order for me to be able to root my phone?
If you updated or like my phone (it came with v3) and the bootloader is higher than v2 or like my phone (it came with v3) Odin can't downgrade it. I hope I'm wrong but I went trough all if it.

If this tablet is yours you should remember the password. There are plenty of guides on google for this. You wont find much help on XDA for this specially being a new member

Is it possible to downgrade from A12 to A10/11? (exynos)

Hello there!
I recently got a hand me down S10+ (exynos) from a relative and I want to flash LineageOS on it.
One small problem, its got the latest A12 version (March 1st 2022 security patch).
I have already picked out an A11 version with a matching bootloader binary (G975FXXSEFUL1) and installed Odin onto my computer (usb debugging is also enabled).
Links to guides and other forum posts are appreciated.
(I apologize if this has been asked before, I haven't found out how to search specific sup-sections of this forum (if even possible).)

If the bootloader is unlocked, it should be fairly trivial to flash an older ROM using Odin.

Use the Search function. Google is also your friend. I haven't been in the Samsung game for quite some time.
Be aware that unlocking the bootloader is often impossible on Exynos devices.

So I followed a guide and it told me to enable the OEM unlock function in the dev settings.
so is it unlocked now?
or does that just allow me to unlock it?
(apologies if I sound like a complete novice)

when flashing with odin do I need userdata?
Ive done some digging and apparently userdata is used for phone carriers to brand the phones they give out?
Ok it was pretty simple, userdata isnt needed.
