Software info WW_1.16.40.1020_20160121
Model number ASUS_Z011D
any idea how to upgrade to Android 6 manually?
Try installing each consecutive update until you reach Marshmallow. I have a ze551kl and I had to apply the updates in this order to get version 6.

Hello guys
I have a problem. Untill today I was on WP7 Mango Beta 2 i think and i decided to update. It updated 3 normal updates and now one update is looping. The phone is updateing sucsessful but then it says new update found and when i click close its starting to update. And i don't think its normal cuz i installed over 25 updates today.
check your settings for fw and os version and post it here
Os Version: 7.10.8107
FW Version: 2424.11.8.9
Use the cab sender and update to 2424.11.11.1 (KK1) or 2424.11.11.2(KK2) if you dont plan to unlock your device.

Hello Nexus 4 users,
I recently switched over to the Nexus 4, which belonged to my wife previously, and want to update all the latest OTAs before I start flashing.
The nexus 4 was successfully rooted with Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit awhile back, perhaps a year ago.
I want to know how to determine which OTA I currently have on the phone. Then ,if I am not on the newest update, how do you go about? Is LMY47V or LMY48I the newest? How do you find out what update the phone is on?
Also, please tell me your tips and the simplest way to install the update. I'm not very good with scripts and commands but an excellent flasher
Thank you in advance
Settings -> About Phone -> Build Number
Android versions: https: // developers . google . com /android/nexus/images?hl=en (but these are not OTA versions, to get those search for OTA download <build number> -- usually android police or another site will have a link to the OTA image).
Not sure about LMY47V or LMY48I. =( Educated guess that the last one in the list fixes stagefright so that's why it's still 5.1.1.

p.s. These sites need whitelisting of URLs... (for new accounts -- it's kind of stupid to restrict it if it's not a SPAM bot).
Just to add, OTA updates will fail since you've rooted your phone! You must be completely stock for OTAs to work.
So will all the updates be integrated in to the ROM I flash? Thus unnecessary to update OTA?
First, 48I is the newest and does patch stagefright. OTAs will not work on a rooted phone or one with any system files changed. If your bootloader is unlocked the easiest way to upgrade is to flash the system and boot images from 48i with fastboot. Guys i have recently flashed Lollipop 5.O (Dated 25-02-15) on my device, now there have been many updates after that version as well, approx 6 updates. I would like to know can i simply flash the latest firmware update on my device (Dated 26-03-16)? Before this update there are almost 5 different updates,or is it compulsory that i flash the 5 updates before flashing the latest update as mentioned above.
No need for order, just flash the one you want
My phone will only list a 1.25 nougat update I tried it and it deletes all my stock apps how can I fix this I've already downgraded to android 6 but I really want nougat but not nrd90m test keys. I got the update through is early adopters in hicare.
Hey guys, first time posting so I hope I'm in the right sub.
Here is the thing:
- I bought a phone from a reseller which was sold to me as an SM-G930F with Android Oreo
- When it came home, I noticed it was running Marshmallow, and with further research it appears that the phone is actually the chinese SM-G9300 & it doesn't allow OTA updates
- I got a refund but I could keep the phone
The actual firmware is G9300ZCU2APG2
So the question is: am I able to upgrade that SM-G9300 to Oreo? If so, do I have to install a custom ROM running Oreo, flash a european firmware (or custom?) to allow the update?
