Magisk for Laser ZE500KL? - Zenfone 2 Laser Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How do you do this? Help!

You'd probably get better advice in the Magisk thread.
Do you even XDA, bro?

ensure you have latest firmware, then follow the magisk main thread with twrp that compatible with your phone.
installation is no difference between major root method.

Where can I find the latest Systemless Root zip?

SOLVED. Solution in EDIT.
I'm looking for the 2.76 version of Systemless Root flashable zip.
Both the following links only contain the old ones:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63197935&postcount=2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64161125&postcount=3
Where do I find the lastest one?
EDIT: SuperSU automatically installs itself in systemless mode for marshmallow. To anyone else that had the same question: Just download the latest zip for SuperSU from ChainFire's site (The regular SuperSU zip, there isnt a different zip for systemless) and flash it.
Is this the one? http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133

Install systemless root, install Magisk and install systemless Xposed. You can't use the system version. It will go bootloop.

Do I still need the systemless root? I was told in a different thread that if I do the latest SuperSU it was already Systemless.
Also does this require that Magisk thing?

I don't think i understand what you mean, you can use any root. But for "normal" root you need to patch the kernel.

My personal experience is some modules don't work well with Emui and even lag and/or increase battery consumption of the phone. Hiding root or greenify, for example, are a hit or miss.

Return to oos after flashing custom rom

Sorry if there was already a thread opened about this question but I wasn't able to see it.
I flashed Resurrection remix on my op3t and I want to go back to oos so how can I do it without braking my phone.
BTW I tried to restore my apps on re ROM using TB but it couldn't see my backup file.
Just clean flash OOS rom followed by SuperSu or Magisk if you want root. Otherwise just flash the rom.

How to Root miui 8.3

Hi recently flashed miui 8.3 by xiaomi.eu
There's no root access available
Tried superuser.zip
Kingoroot
But still I can't find any way any suggestions?
Both Magisk and SuperSU worked for me. Make sure to clean flash in order to avoid these kind of weird problems.

I don't know why you are facing this problem but both SuperSU and Magisk worked for me. If SuperSU didn't work for you then give Magisk a try and see what happens.
Is you device Redmi 2 prime ?
Or Redmi 2

8.1 opm1 what version of magisk can be used to root?

As the title states i was wondering what version of magisk to flash to root 8.1 opm1? Im currently on 8.1 dp1 with SuperSU and wanted to switch to magisk when i updated to the final version of 8.1. thanks
I'm using V14 and it works great!
If you install the magisk app from apkmirror or XDA will offer you the latest magisk zip that works.

It can! All you gotta do is uninstall Magisk and it'll ask you to restore the stock boot image. Once you've done that. All you need to do is downloading FlashFire [Root] and flash the OTA. :good:
