Busybox contains common Linux commands/utilities that android does not have built-in. Many apps that use root will make use of busybox. If you are using any root apps its best to keep it. I guess you could have Googled that yourself in the time it took me to write it!
Ofcourse I googled it but couldend find anything

İ always wondered this myself and Scott doyland did a very good job at explaining it. It's used by apps that require root! Great piece of information!

I was told it was necessary for Root. I have a S3 and it was installed automatically as well.
I don't think the OP needed to be slammed by IAMNICE for his Google searching skills. Internet tough guy talk is sort of gæ.

So, what adblock solution do you use? Since Google banned adblockers from the play store I have been using AdFree, but after I upgraded to KitKat it's no longer working.
Are there any other apps worth using or a hosts file provider you know of?
Thanks!

The idea is nice enough, but I really like the hosts file solution as it blocks all ads system-wide regardsless of app.
Might return to it if I can't find an alternative, thanks.

I have read about it, and are usign it for my browsers on the PC, but can it block ads even in apps and videos?
CrashROM has a host enabled adblock app, can't remember off the top of my head which it is, but it works well also.

Yes. And yes. It's a complete ad block as complete as it gets. It's got a perk in that it doesn't even need root! (Although it DOES work better with root)
It has options to allow non - intrusive ads too. Which is actually helpful that it blocks all ads that are annoying and let's correctly used ads stay so that good developers get their money too

Thought Id share this link to the unofficial xposed for 5.1 for anyone willing to try it. I will once I get my replacement phone today

Nice, I'm still on 5.0.2 because I'd miss things like YouTube Background and Gravity Box too much.
Bootlooped when i tried it ugh
Fair warning, most modules will bootloop you
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
It says in the op to disable all modules beforehand then enable them after install
Works on Euphoria. Chroma users do not install this (bootloop).

It doesn't work on stock LMY47I with no modules, well at least not for me. Just out of curiosity those who have got it work are you unencrypted?
Anyone try this on Rastapop?

Chroma 4/4 works. I'm guessing when they made the ART changes in 4/5 is broke xposed.
Im using euphoria -the latest release... The xposed frameworked was installed without any problems.. And if i activate any modules it will go into bootloop.. My advice is to wait still further in order to get more stability
On aicp 4/06 build and flashed zip in recovery and rebooted and xposed framework was not there

Haven't used YouTube bg. But isn't that a part of the app now? Mine plays in the bg.

It seems as long as you are logged into Snapchat BEFORE you install xposed framework it works fine..
I just in uninstalled both Snapchat and the xposed framework. Then reinstalled and logged into Snapchat, finally installed xposed and it was all good.
