[Q] Unlockable bootloader ?

Will the Nexus Player have an unlockable bootloader ?

Until someone gets one, who knows????

Its Android L so I don't see why you couldn't run the adb OEM unlock command and see what happens.

I've just read that the Nexus Q did support unlocking. I guess that this might be a good sign. I just don't want to end up with another unrootable device like the Logitech Revue !!

So I'm guessing its not possible, but I didn't try, don't really want to.
But looks to me like in Lollipop you have to enable OEM unlock in the dev settings similar to enabling usb debug. Nexus Player doesn't have the option to enable OEM unlock in the dev settings.

Yes, it is easily unlocked. No root, yet, but the bootloader can indeed be unlocked.

Great, just need a root method before I buy this thing !

I have an ADT 1 and all works perfect. Even mine is rooted but still most apps don't work

Very good question! Only what i know from the website is that your data will be wiped.

Flashtool does it as well without wiping data. You just have to be ready with key

The company develops two oneclick bootloader unlocker, one for htc and one for sony, this is for sony, read before talk please
However, the tool does it all automatically

I have no doubt they work as it should. I just don't trust it.

Ah right so... at point 7) Flash UnlockBL.zip via twrp recovery, i replace with LockBL.zip and the boolloader come back to lock ?
So after block agian bootloadr i can receive update OTA or not ?

You can but warning. For OTA update you can't keep root "brick your phone". You must make unroot. For flash stock rom from sd card in recovery you can keep root.

Is there no relock bootloader in ZD551kl?

You don't need to relock bootloader to flash OTAs

So what's the actual question? are you unable to install any rom or you are unable to root the rom? title says you can't root, description says you are in recovery loop? please be clear.

Actual thing is i was rooted my phone and using Android 7 (when i was restored settings it is gone back to TWRP)...
And now (in TWRP) it is not installing any ROM's...

Fastboot cos and flash the twrp image again and find if the roms gets flashed.

the commands are meesed up you need to write the code in the video that will se in twrp terminal
in my case worked good

Your device isnt supported for bootloader unlocking. It's that simple. You can't do anything about it.

Then it should unlock. Check the steps again and double check for anything missing. If it still doesn't work, you're gonna have to contact their customer service and request for an unlock. It is mandatory that they comply into helping, since this shouldn't be restricted to anyone.

You have a carrier device. They cannot be bootloader unlocked. Only unlocked/ straight from Motorola phones can bootloader unlocked.

Occasionally some people get a false not qualified message.
There are a few things you can try
There is a Alt entry method
Sometimes the website is just not working.
You can check to see if the CID is eligible.
Sometimes using a different device or internet connection works.
