I know that the Xomax XM-DA708 is now sold with Android 9.0 but the support keep saying that the headunit version is fixed and can't be upgraded.
I don't know anything on the headunits udpates etc. but what I understood (with my research on XDA and 4pda.ru) is that I have just to find a MCU update on internet that fit with my headunit (AllWinner T3 P3), put it on a SD card and install it on my device.
Because I'm scared to brick my device, I ask to this forum if :
1- Have I well understood the process ?
2- Do you have a link to a downloadable new version of MCU/Android 8.1 or 9.0 that fit with my headunit ?

Hello,
I have put the files in a formatted SD Card (FAT32).
I start the device and introduce the SD card in the GPS slot.
But unfortunately, nothing happens (it's just saying "no music files")
Normally, a menu should appears...
I also tried with a USB device and tried an other SD Card slot on the device (I have 2 slots).
Do you have a solution to force the device to update on these files ?

I have the same configuration in GU only that it is Bosion 2 Din.
I have put on usb the files recommended by Ahmed68 on 4pda and the mcu files are not seen (because they are .upd files), if I change from .upd to .img it sees them but the installation stops at 7%, the os_update file installs but after restart tells me that this update is for T3 P1 and I have T3p3.

You simply changed the name from upd to img and it worked ?

meby you have different relesion of lcd (1024*600 or 800*480) all firmware for T3 here you must flash by sd card I don't now wich one for your unit

Prepared one U disk or sd card, (Note: The SD or USB only can have one software.)
1. Update the APP, Directly Copy the file to SD or USB .Don't unzip the files.
2.Turn on the car radio,insert the USB or SD, Then it will Automatically Update
if doesn't work use Phoenixcard or PhoenixSuit

I copied the os_update_KC1C0101-M01-2.0.4.1.10_20171106_143208.zip from the APP folder of one of the downloadable link and put it in a USB key.
I've tried to start up with it and plug in it after the start up.
