[REQ] Stock Music Player for Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Before I begin with my post, I have searched this site for my request, but haven't found what I am looking for.
I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 running the stock ROM of Android Lollipop 5.0.1, which was updated from Android KitKat 4.4.1. Recently, Samsung posted their music player to Google Play, and I received notification that mine needed to be updated, which I did.
Unfortunately, the update is for Marshmallow, yet somehow I was able to update the stock music player that comes with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 tablet.
While I was okay with this, I wasn't okay with its widget missing the previous, next and repeat buttons. -I'm certain that this is due to the new version, not being completely compatible with Lollipop.
The only two options are to perform a complete data factory reset, which I have no desires of doing, or rollback to its previous version.
I would honestly like the APK to the version of the stock music player that came pre-installed on The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 to rollback from what I consider an unnecessary update.
Your replies are greatly appreciated!

Is it not possible to simply go to app setting, select the music player app and uninstall updates? It should bring back the player that was originally there in the device.

Kitkat 4.4.4 update!

http://m.androidcentral.com/android-444-update-t-mobile-samsung-galaxy-note-101-2014-rolling-out
Android central just reported that a kitkat 4.4.4 update is going out for t mobile note 10.1 (link above). I was quite surprised to hear of a 4.4.4 update, especially when wifi only note 10.1 s have yet to receive an update since the 4.4.2.
Wondering if anyone else has any other news? Or any one experience with what the 4.4.4 brings to note 10.1? Looking forward to seeing what Sammy did for our note 10.1, plus hoping we will also get a lollipop 5.0 update in the future too.
If you ask a provider, whether there will be an update for a branded device, and they don't have the least clue, whether the provider will make any generic update as a base ever, they say "maybe, possibly, probably" and such, like politicians. Surely there was not a "yes" involved.
I like having card writes for my non stock apps so will stay with 4.3. Works fine.
I got an update notification for my p600, I didn't take it though so I wouldn't lose root
Hi Joey121215
Which firmware do you have now?
I just got the 4.4.2 update today.
Sent from my SM-P605 using XDA Premium HD app
Thanks!
Rooted (and a bit of a rookie) .
I can't update OTA and checked Sammobile, but 4.4.4 isn't there.
Suggestions on how I can get stock 4.4.4?

Google Play Edition 5.0 - will 4.4.4 ota work for it?

I have a I545 verizon galaxy s4 and am thinking about throwing the google play edition version 4.4.4 on. However with 5.0 lollipop around the corner I wanted to make sure I could do an ota update easily since I am not very knowledgeable about performing updates myself. Anybody know if it will work as a ota update?
Never
@feraay is right. All the Google Edition ROMs available have been "tweaked", in order to make them work properly with the different variations of the Galaxy S4. So while you might be able to download the actual OTA update, it will not work properly with your device.
Though, installing updates manually is not particularly hard. You can use Titanium Backup to save your apps, and then download the update yourself once it's available for your S4 edition. That said, you might as well then just wait until 5.0 is out.
thanks and that makes sense. Shouldn't be too long from now for it to arrive. Unfortunately I have been hit with a terrible verizon update that makes my phone restart all the time and want to root and flash it, but with 5.0 coming out so soon I would rather do it once so i'll wait

FYI - I am based in the UK and my Note 8.0 has very surprisingly updated to 4.4.2 - first update in ages and very odd that it should be Kitkat and not something more up to date.
IMO, i am happy with each update of kitkat. Since the end of jelly bean, google has bollocks upped with each version.
Finally after a few years trying to get kitkat just right, I am able to. Now with the latest update, I am sure the few issues I still deal with will be corrected and finally have a smooth kitkat.
Can't say that for LP, MM, and New-guts. New is not better IMO if it is wonky and filled with security flaws. Plus I don't see any improvement across the board over kitkat. Kinda like do peeps like dealing with cheeky google? I just don't understand them, as much as they don't understand me. HA!
I didn't think about how long these file hosts take... so I recommend to use SamFirm to download your firmware. It is fairly new, and I suggest searching online for sites to assist with setup and function before finding a download. That is why i do not have a link or have posted a download attachment.
Small list of still active vulnerabilites after being fully tested.
Media server, Serialization, and stock browser.
I assume we may see another release of updated kitkat firmware late next year.
It does not bother me, having only two issues active. As for stock browser, who uses it anyway? I don't!
Why are you so happy with a 4.4.2 release of kit kat? Our Note 8.0's could easily handle Nougat...Right? So... help me understand, Why I with an ATT sgh-i467 should be content with my update, but not upgrade to something more.

If you're really dependant on your Note 8, you could upgrade to a Tab A with S Pen. These are currently running 6.0.1. I doubt it'll get Nougat, but maybe Samsung will release the S3 in a 8" form factor...

Because It works, no issues, and not effected by security issues since LP.
Also I have customised my 4.4.2 to be more robust like a tab 4, without relying on a customized build with issues.
So far I am the only one with a truly functional customised firmware that I am happy with.

I can't due to limits placed by ROM developers. As i had to mix 5 different ROMs to obtain what I have.
You can get a nice look by using the system ui. Though to get chrome to close when its tab closes, stock S5 libs have chrome customisations lib and some chrome cast drivers.
Plus some system apps to make gallery more robust.
I gave up on spen menu, as it did not bring much versatility since I removed stock browser because of it being unsecured with malicious scripts, and scrap book with smart clip just eat too much resources for what they are.
Can't remember which ROM I grabbed a cool one off flashbarservice app. The drawer is like the jelly bean version with a pull out tab and single row. Plus the short cuts are mini.
Using the tab 4 touchwiz and keyboard (that has left and right cursor control), though you loose automatic handwriting mode when spen is detached. It now becomes manually switched with the settings key.
I swapped out a secsettings app to allow access to default applications, as Samsung killed it in 4.4.2 for Note 8.0.
I enabled color blind, interaction control, grey scale, and accessibility shortcut menu. Though I can't have the shortcut menu activate or deactivate without a reboot.
Though the i467 has the features in the stock ROM, so obtaining the latest AT&T ROM, you can copy the system apps to allow some cool accessibility features developers over looked.
If I had permissions to allow copying and distributing custom apps and a few custom libs, i would as a complete ROM. But that is only half of it. I am not an android developer, and have no tools to properly create a flashable ROM to distribute.

Downloading Apps Takes A Lot To Finish When I'm Doanloading Them From The Internet Ap

Hello. Yesterday I've just downgraded from Magma-UX ROM (S8 Mod) to Android 4.4.2, because I wanted to upgrade to Android 5.0, using Kies. Then I didn't want to update to Android 5.0.
I just wanted to download some fonts for my phone, so I can make my phone look like the Official Android 5.0 for Galaxy Note 3. Of course they downloaded
Now, I'm downloading something from the Internet app and it's downloading forever (it doesn't even say that it's downloaded).
Is there a way I can fix this? It is still downloading and it doesn't even STOP.
And as you can see in the screenshot, the Facebook app updated by itself without any problems.
Here's the screenshot:

Samsung One UI App Update

Hello everyone, I Have Galaxy S7 From Verizon and Yesterday i got an update for Samsung Experience Home app but this time the app name changed to Samsung One UI Home and the update size is about 7MB and the version of this update is 9.0.12.50, I downloaded the update after that the update did a reset to defaults to my launcher settings all the shortcuts and widgets has gone but the weird thing the update didn't change anything in the UI everything is the same the icons, notification panel, etc.., My question is if there is anyone got the same update is there any changes in the UI or it's just a normal update just to fix some issues.
- Btw am using android oreo with the latest updates and i got the update from Google play store not from Galaxy store.
Same problem
I downloaded on Samsung galaxy J7 (2016) and the same problem happened
