I accidently wiped the system from TWRP while doing backup restore. Turns out the backup was courrpted.
I flashed the original boot.img and recovery.img to stock and now i cant reflash update.zip b02 firmware.

Hii
I have flashed OTA zip of Android N Preview.
So my question is whether i can restore my TWRP Backup of Pure Nexus ROM to get back.
I have backed up the everything from TWRP like
Data
System
System Image
Boot
Vendor
Vendor Image.
So if its possible to restore using TWRP backup of Pure Nexus ROM that i took earlier .
what partitions do i need to restore to get back properly .
Do i need to restore
Boot , System & Data partitions to get back to Pure Nexus ROM or all partitions including System Image, Vendor image
Did you flag thru TWRP? of so did you flag modified boot IMG or kernel? To my knowledge that had to be done before rebooting into system.
To be able to restore TWRP. Also 3.0.0.0 is nor playing nice with new version so TWRP 3.0.0.1 has been released

You don't need to backup system image or vendor image, so don't worry about those in future, and definitely don't restore them. You should be fine with just restoring boot, system, data, and vendor.
Ok i flashed the Android N preview Manually using fastboot.after that flashed Modified Boot.img
flashed TWRP by Rom Racer v 3.0.0-1
Booted into twrp successfully without any problem & formatted Data Partition.
Used Android N preview for an hour or so and found that it cant be used as daily driver and also found that i couldnt live without Dt2w,s2s, xposed, root . So then reverted back to Dirty Unicorns ROM using TWRP backup that i made earlier.
So the process i followed to restore back :
Boot into TWRP
Wipe Dalvik, Data, System, Cache partitions.
flashed an older Vendor image zip of Android Marshmallow through TWRP
Restored the TWRP backup of Dirty Unicorn ROM.
And successfully reverted back to the ROM i was using earlier.
Hey guys I have a problem with the downgrade from nougat to mm.
I have tried everything from https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/nougat-official-firmware-t3512932
but I am unable to mount /version. I have changed the datasystem form /data and it worked, but with /version I can't do that.
So my problem is that I can't install C432OemInfo-DUALSIM-P9LITE and I can't downgrade. On the other side i wiped all data so I am not able to boot nougat fw anymore.
Thanks for your help!
If you have a twrp backup of MM you can restore in twrp just oem.
I have already tried to restore backup but that's the problem. It's always the same error.
Restore just oem.info
That's the next problem because i have only the system, data and boot backup form mm stock rom
Hi guys,
So I made a backup of everything (all the partitions including vendor/system etc.) using TWRP in the morning and restored to it from TWRP.
The restored finished and I hit 'reboot' and now I'm stuck at the white 'Google' logo and it's not proceeding from there. It's not even taking me to TWRP.
Please help!
Update: I was able to boot into bootloader and thereon into TWRP. I did a factory reset and from there restored 'System, data, vendor, and boot'. My Q is now, do I restore vendor or vendor image or both? Note that I'm restoring from Resurrection Remix to Pure Nexus, so vendor image may not be the same.
Update 2: Restored and logged into the OS. Vendor image shows N2G47W (by Beatstown for Pure Nexus). So does this mean that restoring 'vendor' is the same as restoring 'vendor image'?
I believe in twrp if you choose to backup vendor.image it creates a flash able image and if you choose vendor, that's what you restore. Try getting the vendor.img of the backup version your trying to restore from Google factory images and after you restore you backup boot back into bootloader and fastboot flash that vendor image before booting OS.
hi guys
after restoring twrp backup (data and system)
WIFI is broken, no way to make it work again, even restoring persist backup from twrp or flashing the original persist
not either deleting file contect of wifi_mac.bin in root/persist
does anyone know how to make wifi working again after TWRP restore of data and system?
differently TWRP is totally useless for backup in Mi A2 at the current state.

flash the original boot.img from the same system version installed in your device.
If V9.6.15.0.ODIMIFE, download the same OTA image version package, unzip it, get only boot.img and use fastboot to flash it into your device.
fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
I hope this works

Flash this kernel from temp twrp. https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/development/kernel-hex-t3855773
It worked for me.
Tnx man. After flash kernel magisk doesn work.
How do i reinstall magisk now? You Need the "patch boot Image" method in order to support OTA. But boot Image now is not stock, cause It s updated with the new kernel so i cant use the official boot.img , should extract the new One from My device? How?
Or should i flash magisk 17.1 from TWRP? But still cant, because TWRP install s It in Active slot offline TWRP (at the moment) and not in the needed boot partition.
****, help It s getting too annoying ahahah

Download the magisk zip and boot into twrp and just flash it. You can switch the partitions in twrp and flash magisk. Just don't reboot twrp after switching the partitions. The latest twrp from Tingyichen can be downloaded from this thread.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-recovery-mi-a2-t3825146
the command is fastboot boot twrp-3.2.3-jasmine-20181020.img and it goes straight into twrp with no flashing required.
booting directly in twrp with command and without flashing it in any partion caused me bootloop and data wipe, also have read this in another thread (twrp one)
Did you use the latest one from 20/10?
Hi everyone, yesterday i unlocked bootloader + flashed twrp to my FIG-LX1 but now i can not flash system.img from update.app since its heavier than my /system partition. My Backup seems to be faulty because when i try to restore it, i get error "extracttarfork() process ended with error 255" from twrp.
I also can not get any custom rom or GSI to boot.
