Sound is Downsampled to 16 Bits? - ZTE Axon 7 Questions & Answers

Even though it probably doesn't make a difference in perceivable audio quality I'm still not happy to hear that something funky is going with the sound output of the Axon 7 (starts at 7:07):
That sounds like anything the Axon 7 outputs is downsampled to 16 bits. But the sentence was pretty ambiguous so it could mean something else. The question I have is WHY if that's the case? What possible advantage could there be to having the audio downsampled to 16 bits?

ZTE Axon 7 Audio settings
No, it seems to be a question of the settings: -> Settings -> Sounds & Vibration -> Headset Hi-Fi -> Super
See Music Player DAC issue and Axon phone’s “Hi-Fi Audio”. I will test it myself on the Axon 7 shortly.

SGS Audio quality

Sorry guys if this is a duplicate but could not fine anything about audio quality.
Iam gonna buy this awesome device but just curious to know from u guys the audio quality for music from headphones (stock or other)
Also i have heard that the loud speaker is quite low. Now how weak would that be. Will it be not able to wake me up when the alarm rings??
Last question irrelevant to the thread title. My ISP in India is Sify. Now they have rpm and non-rpm (sh) based linux dialer. Will any of these work. There is also a free java based dailer with .jar extension where in i pass info like
sify.jar -u xxxxx -p xxxxxx from a batch file in windows.
. which would be the best java emulator to use in Andriod and how? Guys iam new to andriod. Thanks in advance.
actually the loudspeaker is quite load.. louder than my nexus one.. and with audiobooks and music you can get distortion..
plenty loud enough for ringtones etc.
Stunning!
Although I did have a 3rd party headphone buzzing problem that's gone away now......very strange.
The audio quality is absolutly amazing in my opinion. The headphones are very good and i also like the 5.1 option the musicplayer offers. (Sounds like sitting in the middle of the stage)
Via headphones the SQ is indeed excellent, check GSMarena's review - they use objective measures of SQ and the Galaxy S is essentially perfect.
Loudspeaker is tons better than HTCs offerings, I find it outputs quite a nice sound, definitely loud enough for alert/calls/alarms.
Thanks a lot to all of you who took time to answer it.
I have to agree. Speakers are awesome. Also, the amount of native audio codec that the phone supports is nothing short of amazing.
Samsung incorporated their mDNSe (mobile Digital Natural Sound engine) chip inside this phone (its the same audio decoding chip used in their home theater and HD LCD TV's except its a mobile version). It supports 5.1 SRS sound too.

Bad headphones sound after update to Nougat

Hello all ZF3 owners,
I own ze520kl model and It is just me or sound is terrible after updating to Android 7? I have (almost) no bass sounds, anyone else feels this kind of difference? Equalizer makes a little of difference, but not like previously did on Android 6.0.
2 different set of headphones and 2 different player apps.
Regards,
Dan.
Others reported the same.
Looks like I have to hold on to update my phone.
The Android N update for the Zenfone 3 enables AudioWizard audio processing with wired headphones, meaning that any EQ you have on your phone's speakers will carry over to the headphones. There also may be a bug that activates certain AudioWizard presets on headphones without warning. Either way, you can fix the problem of headphone audio sounding tinny or weird by going into the Sound and Vibration settings menu while your headphones are plugged in, and selecting AudioWizard. Once in AudioWizard, set the preferences to your liking or just select Pure mode if you don't want any EQ or anything like that.
Big thanks, it worked like a charm!
Regards!

Will try that settings. Thanks for the advice. :good::good::good:
Sorry for reviving this old thread. I updated to Nougat the day I got this phone and learned that audio quality is worse than my last phone, even with AudioWizard set to Pure. Will audio sound better with the AudioWizard app and service disabled?

I also found two audio packages, "com.asus.maxxaudio" and "com.asus.maxxaudiowizard" which I can't disable via ADB because I'm not rooted.

Bluetooth music quality

I used Redmi Note 7's bluetooth to connect to my car and played music from Note 7. But, I felt music quality is very low.
Music quality is well played my lasted phone (Moto G5 plus) with the same music source.
I know redmi note 7 is worth of his price but bluetooth's music quality is note acceptable.
Does someone have any solution or right setting I lost.
Thanks for your help!.
Have you tried using the equalizer? Conect headphones, play a song from music app and look for equalizer settings. Fixed It at your preference and you Will have a good sound quality for now on.
In my case I chose "general headphones" and then I went to fix the equalizer.

Bluetooth Earbuds Volume

I have a pair of Huawei Freebuds which received free when i had a Mate 20 Pro.
On the Mate 20 Pro they were really loud, but on the S10plus it seems they are only achieving about 60 to 70%
I have the absolute sound setup in development settings and i have fiddled with all the Bluetooth settings, cant get them any louder.
If i plug wired earphones in it is really loud.
Is there something that i haven't set right? Or is it just the phone doesn't like Huawei lol.
TIA
Ok after some research, you have to enable Media Sound Sync.
But this is obviously Android 9 because it doesn't exist on Android 10.
Contacted Samsung, here is the response.

Help reducing mic gain

Hi, I have a Redmi Note 7 and audio recording quality is awful when it comes to loud music. I tried setting "unprocessed source" from open camera, but quality is still terrible.
Which settings should I change in system/vendor/etc/mixed_paths.xml in order to reduce mic gain, hoping that will help for audio distortion?
I get lost with ADC1, DEC1, RX1 etc.
Thanks!
