Dear all,
I have an "Unbranded 6.2" 2 DIN Pure Android 4.1 Car Stereo Radio Head Unit" which has the same specification as "AN-21 U".
For some reason, I reflash it with the firmware which is download from the Russian website-- "4DA".
The firmware works, but not all of the settings are reset even after I make a factory reset.
Therefore, I try to use the "Fullformat" firmware to clean the settings.
There are three different Fullformat versions on the website (4DA).
After I use one of these versions, it only shows an Android logo after reboot and nothing happens at all.
However, it would read the firmware (or MCU) files if I push the hardware reflash buttons (power + reset for 5 sec, then release reset button, then power button) and there would be messages shown on the screen as "UPDATE START" (and "UPDATE END" after few minutes.).
But nothing happens after that.
It always shows the Android logo and that's all. (still can perform hardware reflash.)
Has it become a brick?
How can I make it work again?

Hello,
I bought a Chinese 1din android radio (while the front panel of mine is different than I ordered, I believe they're all the same version) and in the process of searching for settings for the screen angle to save in the memory, I managed to screw things up when aborting a "debugging" process midway. This resulted in the loss of functions such as radio, apps, and the screen while showing full 7 inch, what is touch responsive is about 3/5 of that.
So far I've tried to reset the radio with the switch between front panel - no effect.
Unplug, reset, factory reset - no effect (only factory resets the android portion)
I've also tried to use the function "MCU reset" but this does nothing, and the unit does not reboot like it says it would.
The MCU version is something like this : mcu an6b01-mcu-v1.00.

So, does anyone please have any knowledge on what to do, or perhaps has the software to restore full factory status?
Please help :c
Does anyone have any ideas or a solution..?
hello, I need help to upgrade my mcu / firmware.
I've bought a Chinese HU.
I've got 2 problems:
1.I can't set up anything on factory mode, when I set up something the HU get into a loop.. it's start to restart over and over.
2. because of problem no.1 I want to change the MCU and the firmware (or 1 of them to fix the problem and change the software of the HU).
the main problem is, I can't get into recovery mode, the buttons are touch and I've tried everything..
press reset 3 times and one long, restart long for 10~30 sec.
press reset and push power and home button.
press reset and volume.. I've tried everything almost on the internet..
this is the HU: Android for Corolla 2011 8.1GO 9"
this is the MCU and all the properties of the unit.

Hi everyone,
My head unit started to not go into sleep mode anymore and would take 5 to 15 mins or even more to boot up. I tried all options in the engineering test mode setting. Sometimes it would freeze too.
I've tried doing a factory reset several times as well as re-flashing the firmware (tried two different) ones. I was told not to use the "computer paint brush" firmware, which I do not know what it means.
Any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated. Thanks!
Is unit an MTCD type unit, post Android system information including MCU version

I believe it is MTCD.
It booted up this morning, but froze. Now it is stuck on the Android screen.
I put in the USB flash zip file on a stick connected to the USB port, but it does nothing. I think for these radios, you have to get it to boot up before it works.

Not MTCD, requested moderator move to Android Head-Units forum
I was messaging a work colleague and the messenger got frozen on half of the screen. I thought it was a video error that would go away on reset so I tried resetting in long tablet mode (sorry I am not using the correct terms) and I couldn't hit the reset button because it appeared BEHIND my facebook messenger. I was able to access it in portrait mode though. So I reset but now my screen has junk all over where the messenger was. I tried to get into factory reset but the options are behind the junk. I tried to guess where the option was and ended up clicking the update button instead and now I'm just sat here with my screen looking like this.

So what can be done?
Boot into recovery mode. Factory reset.
If you can't either the firmware is corrupted and needs reflashed or it's a hardware failure. I'm leaning towards the latter.
Yeah i did the factory reset through guesswork and its still there. I don't even know how to begin reflashing.
I am in ecuador and have no access to reliable shops.
Did the recovery screen display normally?
Nope
