I want install a custom Rom like cm or other stable recent. So, beeing a newbie, I decided to use afterota to installing BL e CR. I have A500:
Android Build : Acer_AV041_A500_1.031.00_WW_GEN1
Bootloader : 0.03.12-ICS
I tryed to install all option in Afterota Standard TAb, installation succesfull, but when I try to boot tablet after attemps I have this result: or boot normally, or with this: some strings in the bottom left and i0t briefly shows the Android and then android with the red exclamation mark in the triangle.

[PROBLEM] Regarding CWM recovery for MB526.

I really wanna install ICS 4.0.4 on my Defy+.
So I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432100
My Defy is rooted.
I installed CWM's ROM Manager.
I installed 2ndInit.
Now I know (correct me if I'm wrong) that we should place the zip files onto the SD card. --> Then, open CWM's ROM Manager --> Flash recovery --> [checks something on d internet and displays a bunch of devices. Defy is one of them] So I click on "Defy" ---> It tells me that CWM's recovery is not yet supported by Defy. ---> If i continue, it says "Have you previously installed custom recovery?" and then asks for the version. ---> still if I continue and start phone in recovery mode, It doesn't go in recovery mode. I just see a yellow exclamation mark in a white triangle with the android bot standing beside it.
What seems to be the problem ?
What should I do to install the ICS 4.0.4 on my device ?
Please help. Because I'm still a n00b.
I tried ignoring CWM's recovery and rebooted my device with 2ndInit's Custom Recovery mode and tried the steps in the (above) mentioned thread.
This results in a BootLoader 9.10 error: 1F, A3, etc. on reboot. So I had to flash the (rooted)stock sbf again.
I did it for 4-5 times. I feel like crying now.
Please help.
Update on the request
should i flash cm7.2 first and then upgrade to cm9 (ICS 4.0.4) ?
Please help guys.. please..

If you see that robot, press both the volume up and down keys at the same time, then you should be in the recovery menu.

Maybe you could try another version of bootmenu? If I remember correctly, you can choose, which one you want if you go into the 2ndInit app.

You will have to unlock your bootloader first. CWM will only work on an unlocked bootloader.
See this thread for an excellent explanation of the steps to follow.
By the way, your recovery will not work until you either flash the stock recovery, or unlock the bootloader.

Ok i had similar issue with stuck on boot logo. Here is fix. ITS SUPER SIMPLE
1. Go download newest SDK developer dot android dot com/sdk/index.html (New on forums so i can't post links)
2. Unzip sdk and naviagte to sdk/platform-tools
3. Use the fastboot and adb program in this folder to fastboot over your new rom.
For me I was rooted on 4.2.2 AOKP and everytime i flashed rom it would succeded but then fail to boot. Read somewhere on google that using old version of fastboot/adb can cause the issue. Updated and eveything worked flawlessly.

If it is due to kernal version is there any possible way to install an old stable kernal? Is it possible to install custom ROM?please give me a solution
Your bootloader is locked. No possibility of flashing TWRP or any other recovery, kernel or ROM other than what's already on your phone...
The only thing you can do is root which you have already done. Next step is debloat and learn to live with your phone

Help with Rooting Nokia 5 (Can't bypass the checking for update process)

Hi!
I am newbies to all of these but I will try to explain.
LinkA : https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-5/how-to/guide-how-to-downgrade-official-oreo-to-t3746007
LinkB : https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-5/how-to/guide-ta-1053-downgrade-official-oreo-t3893053
LinkC : https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-5/how-to/root-nokia-5-android-8-1-t3831303
I have Nokia5 with android Oreo and I want to root it so I browse a lots of tutorial with zero prior knowledge and follow them.
1. I downgrade to nougat by following LinkA and LinkB <-- I use rom A02 from this guide.
2. enter download mode on my phone
3. unlock bootloader temporarily by using "Unlock Bootloader.bat" from the script mentoined in this guide LinkC
4. flash TWRP v3.2.3, v3.3.1 img files-- > I tried both but none of them work
The problem is after I flash it using "twrp flashing.bat" from the same script. I pressed power up and power button together until the phone vibrate but it just boot to the default rom that I downgraded to.
How can I boot to the newly installed TWRP recovery ?
Moreover, I can't enable USB debugging because I can't skip checking for update screen in default rom. Nokia want me to upgrade to Pie or whatever their latest version is. I tried removing sim/disconnecting wifi but it won't work. The only way I can access the phone right now is to update to Pie which is opposite to what I have been trying to do.
Edited : I tried updating as system suggested but it won't start. I am unable to use this phone now T_T
Edited 2 : I tried to flash new nb0 rom but I can't access recovery mode. It's all black. I don't know what to do now it's dead end pls help!
Anyway to fix this problem?
Thank you in advance
