I'm trying to unlock bootloader.
After command "fastboot oem unlock", I get the error:
Code:
(bootloader) erasing userdata...
(bootloader) erasing userdata done
(bootloader) erasing cache...
(bootloader) erasing cache done
(bootloader) unlocking...
FAILED (remote: (unknown error code))
finished. total time: 7.981s
Drivers installed. Device is new. Bought yesterday.
How to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.
What bootloader version?
Try this:
- Power off
- Power on into bootloader/fastboot mode
- on the PC: fastboot reboot-bootloader
- now try again
this usually fixes those kinds of problems for me.

Bootloader version 3.34.
fastboot reboot-bootloader did not help(( displays the same error.
I haven a friend with a new N7 delivered with 4.1.2 on that same bootloader, 3.34. He cannot update to 4.2 OTA. I even tried to sideload it for him with no luck. All I can deduce from this is that that JB version should not exist with that version of bootloader. Something seems borked.

How to enable debugging mode in fastboot or recovery mode? I think, that I cant unlock bootloader because debugging mode turned off. I cant turn on my device, it hangs on boot animation(like letter X).
Yesterday I download file via uTorrent. My device freezes. I turned him off. And he refused to boot(hanging on boot animation).
I've booted my device in APX mode.. How to flash bootloader on my device with NvFlash?

Try updating the bootloader and then trying to unlock.

When I go into recovery, all I see - this is the android icon with a red exclamation mark. Nothing more..

Hold VolumeUp and press the Power button - or something like that - and the menu will show up.

By this combination I go in APX mode...
I meant while the android with the red "!" shows, not while powering on.
When I'm using this combination when red !, apx mode is loading too.

Are you forgetting to release the buttons again, maybe?

Sorry for my english, I don't ynderstand you.
I did so:
Connected my device to PC.
Booted into fastboot by pressing all keys.
Selected recovery mode. Displayed "android with !".
I holded "volume up" and "power" button for 15 seconds. And then apx mode booted
Don't hold the buttons like forever.
Press them and release them again, also try some other combinations if that one doesn't work.
If you keep torturing the powerbutton, of course the device eventually reboots.
Be creative.
Use common sense.

Thanks... but when I'm using "wipe data/factory reset" - my device freezes, and when I restart him there is no changes, and I also can not unlock my bootloader.
I think that to unlock bootloader needs debugging mode. In recovery mode there is menu item "apply update from ADB". So I can enable adb. How to unlock bootloader or flash by this way?

I can't update him, because he is locked.
I can't seem to get anywhere with ADB. ADB won't list the device, and obviously it won't take any commands. I've tried just about everything I could think of.
It was booted up the other day, but unfortunately I let it die, and now I can't get it to boot again.
Just need to recover some files on the phone and call it a day.
Any ideas?
what variant? if you have fastboot access hold vol_ and plug in and it will load the bootloader then type fastboot reboot and it will boot to the system
Fast boot worked for me, Also worked for my girlfriends g5 like me2151 said , also I did power button replacement on both devices its really easy if you want to do it.

The only screen I can manage to get to by holding any volume buttons down is the firmware update screen. You're saying do FASTBOOT REBOOT there?

You must not have rooted. without root you will not have access to fastboot on vs995. so unfortunatly my method will not work for you.

Nope, no root.
Reviving thread with an answer (at least for the H910). Plugging the power cable in powers the phone on, but it normally powers off a minute later if you leave it plugged in. If you unplug it after it wakes up the phone will continue to boot and power up normally.
After Installing a few roms on my device i ended up switching to ressurection remix, but whenever my phone starts or turns off, it automatically goes to the bootloader whether or not im holding the power and volume button. The device itself does work though. I'm able to boot my phone and use it, but it's gotten quite annoying to deal with when the bootloader turns on whenever my device is powered on or off.
any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

While in the bootloader connect to your PC and flash this command from fastboot - "fastboot oem fb_mode_clear" . That should take care of it for you. I had the same problem several months back and it worked for me.

MI A1 does not enter the fastboot, appears the message "your dvice software cant'be checked for corruption, please lock the bootloader" Two things, first I am layman, I understand little, the other and excuse the translation, was machine translation.
The message has nothing to do with the Fastboot. That message is a normal reaction when the bootloader is unlocked.

Hold the power button and volume down button together for 10-15-20 second, as long as the phone doesn't boot up into Fastboot.

When the message appears, release the buttons and try again to do the same, hold the buttons together for about 20-30 seconds until the phone doesn't enter Fastboot. I Don't see a reason why the phone wouldn't enter Fastboot if you only unlocked the bootloader.

If I hold on, the same thing will happen 10, 20, 50 times, I've already tested it.
If I release the volume - and power buttons, the unit comes in and I have to turn it off to try again :crying:
Can you boot into the system at all? Does the phone work? How did you get to the point that you can't enter Fastboot, what happened exactly?

As I said before, I do not understand much of this subject, the phone works normally, all functions are working, I switched on it some time ago, but I can not remember what I did right for it to be without fastboot

If you don't understand the subject, why did you want to boot into fastboot mode in the first place? No offense, just aksin'.

Good question, did not offend me. I figured it was time to start learning about it, I was thinking of installing the Google Pixel rom
With the phone OFF:
Press Vol- and Power, when Bootloader screen appear just release the power button, so continue to hold Vol- until the fastboot screen.
It's the only procedure for fastboot on our device.

It did not work, the error message appeared and as soon as I released the power button, came on the device. This problem has left many people without understanding, I just did not give up, because I do not accept that only my cell phone this function does not work
Does your phone have root? If so you can use a reboot app from the play store to boot into fastboot.
Install adb drivers, enable USB debug then open command prompt and type "adb reboot bootloader". Phone should reboot to fastboot mode.

Had the same problem and want to add that it is necessary to unplug usb cable before pressing the buttons, otherwise screen only blinks shortly and phone stays on.
