Gonna stick to Note 4
I like GalaxyS6Edge but i am going to stick to Note4 because SPen. By the way, SdCard and Removable battery are also my main reasons.
Sticking to S4 until I find a quality phone with MicroSD
Sent from my last Samsung device....
Micro SD card get the m9.
For 5years I had several htc devices back to touch HD and now m8. The point was I hated Samsung for their plastic devices and TouchWiz. Imo sense is way better.
But now with the s6 edge samsung has done everything I expected. Metal Frame and unbloated TouchWiz. So I will switch to the s6 cuz for me it has the more advantages then the m9. I will miss sense and the speakers, but I will get a fantastic camera and design.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One_M8 mit Tapatalk
The only smartphones I have owned are the SG1 and 4. Contract is up at the end of the month so the 6E it is. Never had any issues with both phones.
from a Note 4
loving the premium build and specs on the s6 edge
Going to be coming from the G3.
Mainly for the green model and because the M9 is underwhelming. Also to have a new piece of tech to play with
Moving to the S6 Edge 128 from my HTC One XL (Evita) because it's just about time lol. Also my device now suffers from excessive random reboots and severe battery drain issues.
Small chance I might go with the HTC One M9, but I'm strongly leaning S6 Edge at this point.
My smartphone evolution: S3, Xperia ZL (only one week), S4, Oppo Find7a and last but not least Xperia Z3.
The S3 remains in my possession in case of loosing/destroying my current smartphone... it's a reserve. The Z3 is a really nice device but the camera isn't a point and shoot one.
After skipping the S5 (didn't like the backside) the S6 is a Samsung phone that attracted my attention again in spite of the glass back (Z3), the non removable battery (Z3) and the missing sd-slot (I lost many, many data because of a broken sd card!!!).
Perhaps Otterbox designs a water/dust/shockproof case for the S6...that would be great...waterproofing is a nice to have feature but it's nonessential.
Probably going to switch from a Note 4 because after having the iPhone 6 I always told myself my perfect phone would be Android running on the iPhone 6 hardware with the iPhone 6 camera... the GS6 looks to achieve that
Once I see what LG has in stock, I might move over from my G3. I have unlimited data on vzw so I'm not too concerned about storage and as long as the battery does well in the reviews, I might consider it since I do like the new look.
From note 3 because I want the fastest and best phone on the market aka s6. Also want to have a smaller phone (Higher PPI yeaaah)
Current device: note 3
Reasoning: really hoping to, but not switching mainly because of the lack of SD slot and removable battery. I love their choice of new materials, but not worth sacrificing the usefulness of those features (swap batteries often and like multiple SD cards for back up/romming/music/etc.). Additionally, I've always opted for snapdragon variants (although I am not opposed to exynos, but that real world performance remains to be seen in this case), and the extreme protrusion of the camera is a real turn off.
Coming from M8 after a really good two year journey with HTC... I have very high expectations for the S6.

you dont think its too expensive?
$699 for the 32gb regular s6 / $799 for the 32gb edge
or mind the locked bootloader?
im on the fence too. wanting a green S6 EDGE but ifk vzw is getting the green one

The price is definitely a concern to me since if I was going to get one, I would go with the 128GB model to get over the fact that I don't have an SD card anymore. Thank god I have a partner that allows me to buy stupidly pricey stuff every so often. As far as the locked boot loader, I would have to see how people are able to build out custom ROMS that run on Sense. Especially with the Edge model, I'm wondering if running on Sense might allow for the extra features on the phone to run better or at all. I always run Nova as my launcher so Touchwiz's interface would be running in the back instead of in my face all the time. On top of that, this would hardly be the first phone I've used that had a locked bootloader that the dev community has managed to get unlocked. We have some very talented people on this site that manage to do some very cool stuff. I remember in the early days of the M8, people were saying that we were doomed to get the device fully unlocked. Now, it's very easy to get that thing running fully unlocked. Plus, if we're super lucky, Samsung might release a developer edition with at least 64GB if not 128.

Have you ever used the iPhone 6 camera? It is bar none the best camera available in almost every light. I love my Note 4 but it gets thrashed by the wifes iPhone in everything but outdoor sunlight. The focus time is the real difference.

We aren't talking about the Note 4 camera. We are talking about the camera on the S6. This is going to be the best camera in a smart phone upon release. The iPhone will be a distant second. By the way, you might be the first person I've heard that has anything negative to say about the pics rom the Note 4. I personally don't have one, but everyone I know that has one thinks it blows the iPhone away.
Coming from a One plus one. Just sold it on swappa and also sold my moto 360 just in case the device is a little more expensive. all in all , have $800 to spend. Lookiing at the 64GB Edge version. hopefully its just 750 and I use the other 50 to get a case or something,
Why? well honestly, I wanted the iphone 6 design with android and samsung has accomplished this (not something to be proud of). Also because of the fingerprint scanner, the speed of the device, the smaller screen compared to my 1+1, and samsung pay. oh and the attention grabbing aspect of the 6 edge
(It's not the note 4 but I think it's relevant here; are you gonna get it?)

Relentless Innovation. We listened, we learned, we pushed forward. We rebuilt from the ground up. The most beautiful phone Samsung have ever produced and the most advanced one in the world.
The screens that go the ENTIRE way around the hall burst into life, aaaaand....
The pictures are exactly as leaked!
As has been the discussion all week, it's the curve that they're pushing - and yes, it's gorgeous. The detail is seamless.
It remains to be seen what they're going to do with the none-curved version.
The pricing will dictate whether or not the S6 flies off the shelf - and it's availability.
I think they should have released just the curve.
There you have it.
The curve is gorgeous. Absolutely. The detail is very precise. The plain S6 is plain ugly.
And the light-up notifications thing on the edge is tickling ALL the journalists.
Will you stick to the Note 4, or switch?

Regarding the S6, I don't feel the glass back and the camera sticking out as on the iPhone 6 and 6 plus...Also software wise it does look smoother but the size of the icons and the whole UI looks kinda ugly, especially the percentage bar, it's just too big...also non removable battery is a miss.
If only the note 4 would somewhat benefit from the S6's software
I think Ill stick.Note 4 has got looks but hey s6 looks like iphone 6 same rounded metal frame, same speaker style, same protruding volume buttons.Although s6 edge could be worthy to switch over but can be cleared only when they are available in stores.Except processor Note 4 has an upper hand

I really like the design they've chosen! I've always been jealous of iPhone smooth and clean designs, now there's a similar design from Samsung. No need to get iPhone knock-offs from China with android running.
But I'll still keep my Note 4.
- 5MP Front camera, not my thing, I don't care abt selfies and Note 4's 2MP 3.7MP (Edited) works well for video chat even at low light.
-No SD-Card slot... Bumper.. The choice for buying cheap128GB SD card to store media and easily transfering between devices has been a great advantage for Samsung phones, it will be missed
(Cuz 128 GB ver. Of S6 will be much more expensive than just getting basic 32GB + 128GB SD Card)
-Wireless charging, not an issue... I put in a wireless charging receiver pad and can use qi chargers to charge. No extra bulk.
-5.7" screen of Note 4 will be much better for viewing any media!
-S-Pen... Nuff Said.
However, these are the plus points of S6,
-Speaker at the bottom! Would prefer front facing but at least better than at the back...
- Touch finger print! I've no issues with Note 4's swiping sensor, been using wit great accuracy for months... But the new one might reduce the error rate.
- Double curves on display (S6 Edge)... Its just look smooth and sexy. Less awkward than Note 4 Edge.
-eMMC faster flash memory... Hopefully it'll be like changing from a tradiotinal hardisk to an SSD. With how Lollipop's ART runtime works (fully unpacked apps), S6 will be a beast.
-Exynos for all! Will be a great performer hopefully. Although, custom firmware will be lesser, snapdragon 810 on Note 4 is one of its draw backs. Hope the Exynos will not throttle its performance so much.
Sorry for the long post. Still great devices by Samsung.

I originally thought that too, but when I really think about it, I could actually do without the MicroSD. For sale, Note 4U with extra battery, 2 cases, Gear VR, used once, for best offer!! Nuff said!
I like it, but there is no s pen do I don't think it can replace my Note 4.
Definitely much more compelling than the s5 though, which made me yawn.
I'll stick with note 4 ofc.
But if they won't give that better touchwiz to note 4. I won't probably buy another Samsung phone again. limiting exynos 5433 to 32 bit another retarded thing too.

Lets not forget the battery is a smaller 2600mAh unit vs. 2800mAh in the S5, don't even dare give me the CPU is more efficient BS, once you get Facebook, Chrome and Instagram going all that stuff becomes typical marketing talk, and you realise the advantage of a much larger batt.
I'll keep my Note 4 thanks, I just hope the Note 5 doesn't go the same way or I'll be very disappointed.

s5 and note 4 has different battery life. it can just reach s5. probably 5 hour sot will be most for s6.
Waiting for note 5
You all know if the s6 is this good, the note 5 will be twice as good. I love the note 4 because it was a real upgrade from the note 3. Screen, CPu and Gpu. The s6, yes with 64bit with nothing that will use it, the note 5 will come out when there will be software that will use it.
The note 4 is my baby till it dies. I really do not see the need for another phone that will do nothing better on day to day activities.
More so, I really hope Samsung gives us the new tw unlike what they do normally. Which is they may upgrade Android versions but they rarely upgrade tw on older devices

It'd be great if they give us 5.0.2 with the new touchwiz but i doubt that will happen...
You never know, maybe that's one of the reasons for the lack of lollipop on the Note 4 so far (optimising TW)...I hope.
Happy the S6 looks good. Samsung has two ticks a year.
I always keep my phones for two years so I'll pass.
Overall, it looks like this phone doesn't seem to offer much compared to the Note 5 for enthusiasts.
This seems to be a matter of form over function here:
3000 Mah battery, which will probably not last 1 day of heavy use - even less so if you are outside (you must turn up the screen brightness in the sun)
To add insult to injury, no removable battery, so extended batteries by companies like Hyperion are harder to come by and in 12 months, changing the battery (because it doesn't hold as much of a charge) will be more difficult
No SD Card (for people who want to store FLAC and movies on their phone)
Exynos means that this phone will probably not be getting an AOSP ROM (not saying the 810 Snapdragon is perfect, as it overheats, but the larger size of the Note might be able to mitigate that)
Glass back assures that you have to use a case or it will crack (plus it makes the "premium" pointless)
They got rid of the IR blaster too
No features like water proofing or anything else special
Other specs are not a huge upgrade - the Exynos is faster than the Snapdragon 805 on Note 4, but not by much
I guess we should look for alternatives? There were rumors of an LG G4 Note (or Pro) and LG's executives did confirm they were releasing an "ultra premium" (their words) device.
There needs to be an "ultra premium" phablet device other then the note...I thought I would be upgrading but not planning on it anytime soon.. hopefully another company steps up and fills the void samsung just left.

I got a G4 and it's a beast. Compared to a Note 4 and it's marginally smaller.
Yeah it's a step back and a sidegrade at best.
Amazingly the Note 4, which I have, remains the best smartphone in the world at least for me.
I suspect sales of the Note 5 will be disappointing like the Galaxy S6 and hopefully the Note 6 will be an improvement.
Abandoning Note 4, and not for a Note 5 ...
I too will not go with the Note 5. I'll be watching this thread with interest.
So far I"\'m evaluating between the upcoming Nexus devices (thinking of the Huawei, depending on specs), Moto x Pure (but I prefer to get 4gb RAM due to the large number of apps I use, and the Pure will be 3); LG G4 Pro (but I'm thinking it may be too expensive.
An obstacle for me is I'm on AT&T, and they are pretty much making the vendors make the phones unrootable. (Exceptions out there, but I think those will narrow). So due to need to purchase outside of AT&T, it makes the expense of the phone an issue for me.
Of course I don't think there will ever be a perfect phone.
No IR blaster either :crying:
You forgot the removal of IR-blaster. Wonder what feature they will remove for S7?
Still on my Note 2 and was anticipating the announcement hoping the rumors were false. Too bad, I'm either getting something else or getting a used t-mobile Note 4 from one of the clowns that end up upgrading. The sd card I might live with, the non-removable battery is a complete deal breaker.
I am hoping lack of IR blaster is ....false?
I too am very disappointed with the new offerings from Samsung. I currently have the Note 3, I didn't upgrade to the Note 4 as it wasn't a big enough jump, and the Note 5 is quite disappointing. The non-replaceable battery, no SD card or 128GB phone to make up for this, Samsung Pay will not work with ROOT, and KNOX, makes this another one I will skip. I think at this point I will wait until the new 820 chip powers a nice new phone, before I dump my Note 3.
Very disappointed too.
but not only because the lack of the SD card.
i'm tired of using a heavy device. Almost 180g is just too heavy.
I want something up to 130g.
and, looking back, i'm ready to sacrifice s-pen for a lighter device with no problem at all.
but it has to have sd-card, that's for sure.
you think you got us hooked, Samsung?
wrong! we will switch easily and happily.

No IR blaster. Last year they touted it and this year not on the device.
Not sure if the Moto X Pure has one or not, but does have:
64GB storage option WITH sd slot (128gb more storage than the Note 5)
Front stereo speakers that apparently sound good (preview event feedback)
Zero carrier bloat
Zero of the infamous Samsung bloat
Case design options
No crack magnet glass case design
The 64GB model is over $300 less than the Note 5 64GB. Moto X Pure 16GB = $400, 32GB = $450 and 64GB = $500
Seems from an overall standpoint the Note 5 is comically on the weak side in comparison.

Umm, sir you used incorrect terminology there: Offerings? Lol. jk
I am definitely not getting the Note 5. It's a giant step backwards to pre 2013.
LG G4 Pro in october.
WTF SAMSUNG!!! You cut two of the most essential Note features and you don't make a 128GB model!!!! Insanity ? I think I'll wait for the Nexus 6 or the Moto X pure I'll miss the S pen and multitasking feature but it's not worth it at all. Smh ?

Getting it regardless.
Wait for the Nexus 5 (2015).
Seems this year your battery life will suck. Let it suck with a Snapdragon 820 inside and pure Android.
Or, as someone mentioned above, G Pro 4 (or whatever the hell it will be named). Will contain probably SD820, massive 27 MP camera and probably bigger battery than Note 5.
Talk about killing the excitement with all these negative reviews. Anyone with positive comments? I will be going from a S4 to the Note 5.
Europe: No Note 5 for the time being
To me the Note 5 is also not a step but actually a giant leap backwards, since Samsung happily decided to abandon a lot of powerful features that made the preceding Notes shine.
Of course I am not surprised that the Note series has now fallen victim to the same strategies the S series has, which come straight out of the playbook from Cupertino.
But what makes me shake my head even more in anger is that - at least for the time being - Samsung are not even planning on bringing the Note 5 to Europe but are trying to force feed us the S6 edge+ over here.
Allegedly because Europeans got their Notes mainly because of the screen size!
Although they cannot speak for the whole continent, my Note 1, Note 10.1 and Note 3 beg to differ.
Note 5 is the best smartphone on the market. Looks very good, top hardware. I'm waiting for full reviews and to see it in stores but it is a beautiful phone. Especially the new metallic color. Everything else is just talk. What I was expected was the 128 gb option. The rest are not so important ( I owned every Galaxy S and Note from the beginning, I use 128 GB sd card atm but has never been occupied more than 50%. Now I own S6 with 128 gb and It's enough. Maybe 64 Gb will be the low limit, but the 32 gb variant it's out of discussion.
---------- Post added at 10:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:51 PM ----------
BTW.
1.No IR blaster - a good universal remote from Philips or Logitech cost 30 USD. Can do so much more and so much confortable with that than a phone with limited data base ( samsung has never implemented the learning feature of a true universal remote). So not much of a problem the lack of IR.- there is not.
2. No sd card - 64/128 Gb of fast internal memory will do more than 128 of external with limited capabilities. Do not forget the limitation we had with external sd. BTW -an micro sd OTG adapter is the size of the coin an can be attached to the phone whenever we want.
3. No removable battery -this could be a problem but in my opinion a power user who charge a phone every day will update in 90% of cases before 2 years. Even so the battery could be exchanged with a new one in service without too much trouble.
THE LACK OF 128 GB IS THE ONLY REAL PROBLEM WITH NOTE 5/S6 EDGE +AND THE LACK OF HDMI OUT LIKE THE S6 ( THIS WAS A REALLY STUPID STUPID MOVE FROM SAMSUNG IN MY OPINION)
After the Samsung event today, when the pre-order went live, I got crazy over which one to buy. Even on samsung website, they have put a teaser to select the one I like. For being a note fan, I was inclined towards Note although I loved the edge display of S6 (never liked the 'S' series though). But finally, I took the big step. Ordered one S6 Edge+. Thought why not give a try, I can always change it after a year or two if its not that good, but I gotta try the edge for once.
So, which one did you buy ? (if you thought its worth the upgrade ofcourse). Or do you think I made a mistake ?
Yeah who know's if it's a good choice or not - tell us what it's like when you get it
Note 5 pretty much killed the Note series
I'll get it on 28th. I expected a delivery with the release date, however, I booked mine from BestBuy since they were giving away a free wireless charger (please note that this is not the fast wireless charging pad). I'll post some reviews once I use it for considerable time.:cyclops:

I'm still on my note 2 here. I was waiting for the announcement to decide if I wanted to go to note 4 or note 5.
The lack of SD card and no removable battery killed it for me.
Then I saw the new keyboard case!!
Omg be still my heart! It's been 4 years since my beloved HTC G2 and it's physical keyboard.
I might jump ship from the note and go for the s6 edge +!
I don't use my spen very often...
I like the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge plus, but the battery maybe the big problem which is bother me. Do I need to carry a power bank with it all day lone?
I wonder if existing S6 Edge owners will be pissed since they just bought a spanking new phone only a few months back, and now so soon an upgrade has been released.
Edge+ for me. I rarely used the S-Pen and just bought the Note line due to the large screen. Battery is a concern, but we will see.
Note 4. Samsung makes decision easy.
Being in the UK it would have to be the S6 Edge+. The only issue is that currently my provider (O2) has announced There will be 1 capacity available - 32GB but it hasn't even been 24 hours so I'm hoping it's incorrect.

Exactly. The only thing good about the Note 5 or S6 Edge+ is the looks, mostly everything else is a downgrade over the Note 4.

Being in the UK it would have to be the S6 Edge+. The only issue is that currently my provider (O2) has announced There will be 1 capacity available - 32GB but it hasn't even been 24 hours so I'm hoping it's incorrect.

Hey fellow loyal Samsung user who don't exist according to Samsung!
Even though I would have managed to get over the fact that for what ever reason the Samsung god decided we are not worthy of Note 5, when I went to O2 website and saw the only option of 32 GB.... I simply just close the tab and went to look at XiaoMi Redmi Note 2!

Right, Note 5 would have been my best choice for an high-end device to buy.
So... I'll buy a Nexus 5 2015.
I got a ship notification for the GS6E+ for a Monday delivery. I guess AT&T had them ready. I just ordered a few hours ago.
Im soo hyped i just got both the S6 Edge+ and the Note 5 pre ordered and im going forum post trigger happy lol I hope they mod, custom rom etc the works on these devices cuz i cant wait to see what these magicians can do with these devices!
which color are u getting, looks like US is getting only the black and the gold version, i was keen on the silver titanium version.
The verizon store owner who is also a friend told me that the gold version looks very classy, as a samsung rep brought it over to the store to show it to him.
I am kinda finding it hard figure out, if i should get the gold or the black
Decided on the edge+ cause i never use the s-pen

Well, I'm not the one to judge what you should or shouldn't buy, however, I wouldn't say its a downgrade in anyway. For further clarification, let me take a few examples of the things people have been complaining about:-
Lower Battery Life
-You might say it has a 200-300 mAh lesser than any competitive device or even older Note devices. However, there is a good reason for that too. The new AMOLED is highly optimized for less power consumption compared to older Note devices. GS6 Edge and Edge+/N5 packs the same Quad HD resolution, hence the screen consumption will be same even though the screen size is bigger since the PPI is reduced in Edge+/N5 (which is again irrelevant to naked eye).
-The 14nm processor is way more power efficient than the older processors used in Note series.
- The non inclusion of SD Card also positively affects the battery life, check google for more info (we will come to the negative side later)
- The LPDDR4 RAM in newer smartphones have double the efficiency (data rate) with considerably less power consumption.
Even though I do not disagree that inclusion of bigger battery with some compromise over thickness would have been better, however, the battery (even though sounds less on paper) is equivalent (if not more) to what we used to get in old note series.
Missing SD Card
This seems to be one of the biggest worries for most of the folks, and they do have a valid reason for that. However, if we talk about why the SD Card hasn't been included, I can tell you its definitely not because SD Card is not supported with UFS2.0. The real reason is due to UFS2.0 being too fast (atleast 3 times of eMMC 5.1 ). When coupled with an SD Card, just imagine the user experience when half the app is running from UFS2.0 while its cache/data is stored in SD Card, that might actually lead to lags. This is the same reason for Apple not supporting SD Cards too (they don't use UFS2.0 though). Although its not the perfect replacement, however, you can pick some cheap sandisk otg flash drives for like 10-15 bux or may be wifi flash drives for like 30-40 bux. At least that's what I use.
Removable Battery
I think they did it to make create that unibody design and give it the premium look. I know it might not be what we were looking for in Note series, however, I do remember the days of the past (like 2 years back) when Samsung was criticized for their cheap plastic models compared to metallic HTCs. Well, guess what, they heard us. Even I miss this one. I'm looking forward to pick one MobilePal QI enabled power bank which retails at around 38 bux. I know we can't carry another bulky device with us all the time, but samsung didn't leave us with much choice in this area.
Missing IR Blaster
I still couldn't figure out what made them get rid of this. I was so much looking forward to this one and this is probably the only thing I would miss on my upcoming flagship. Can't do much here either...
Overall, I do not think Samsung has released a downgrade to its predecessors. The inclusion of amazing hardware [14nm fastest processor, UFS2.0, DDR4 RAM, Fast Wireless Charging, LTE Cat9, Optimized S-PEN, etc] bundled with its fair and unique software does put it above any other flagships in the market ( if we do not consider the price range ). Again, this is not for the sake of any argument, its just as per my analysis. Please feel free to correct me if I've mentioned anything wrong.
If you don't like to call it a downgrade then call it a sidegrade if you like and of cause the SOC, Fast RAM, Software improvements for the SPEN and so on are on the plus side. The problems you name for a SD card would apply to OTG storage just the same, besides you have to have this externally plugged in tearing at the usb port. For now the majority of S6 users seem not to be very impressed by battery time. Maybe software improvements can make that better and the hardware has the potential to deliver equal running times, but for S6 users this promise is not yet fullfilled.
The plastic back of Samsung phone always were a pro argument for me and i did never understand why people cried for metal or glass bodies. A plastic back is light weight, very cheap replaceable. Never had a problem with that while other phones with metal bodies had poor connection strength.
Actually i bought the Note 4 yesterday from my carrier for 19,95€ with contract prolongation while a S6 (without edge) with 128GB would have cost me more than 340€ and S6edge+ will probably be even more expensive while having only 64GB and the Note not be available for Europa at all (at least for now). Paying 300-400€ more for a phone that has some technical advantages and a lot of disadvantages in usability and the promise that regarding battery time it might come close to the note 4 and some of the insufficiencies can be compensated, somehow. Sorry, I don't see this for me.
I think their new commercial slogan will be "Samsung, making decisions easy!".
Soooo, I got a Trial Note 5 to play with, as I have had a Note 3, 4 in the past and other phones like the iPhone. But I also have a LG V10 I am trying too right now. For the life of me, I wanted to like the V10, but I am having a HARD time adjusting to the buttons on the back. It also has a bit of LAG to it where the Note 5 never shows it any more. My Note 4 definitely had lag.
Anyone else use a V10 to try and go back to the Note? I like the replaceable battery and SD Card 200gb.
Note 5 murder the v10 in terms of performance, screen quality and battery, V10 has higher quality audio, more video control micro SD and removable battery, the Note5 also got S Pen- it got many awesome features.
Take the V10 if- you need a phone NOW, it has to be with microSD and removable battery, and don't care about mid heavy 3D game performance, also V10 has locked bootloader and unlikely will be unlocked if G4 is any indication.
Take the Note 5 if- you need a phone NOW, you need the best performance, best screen, camera is slightly better than V10, though V10 has slight advantage in low light shots, you need more function from the phone aka S Pen features., if you care about instant root and unlocked bootloader too.
Wait after Feb 21, as Galaxy S7 and G5 will be announced, the GS7 will have it's micro SD back.

I just packed up the V10 to sell again on Swappa. I can't stand it any more. I'll see if I can wait till Feb. 21st. But may just get a Note 5. Any benefits between the Note 5 and S6 Edge plus?
Software wise v10 wins but has no root as far as I I know

I had a 32gb Note 5 and jumped to the v10 when they had the battery/200gb sd promo! The v10 was fun for a change due to ive had the note 2,3,4 and 5 as my last phones but i love the feel of the note and had yo jump back lol...Im running the MM 6.0 beta on my tmo Note 5 and it flys with zero lag!!!! Cant wait for the official update!!! But hands down the Note 5 is better but the v10 was pretty damn good for what it was!

Well if u fixed on the Note then get it now, it won't likely go down in price, or go down slightly in price as Galaxy and Note series are aimed at different crowd.
Note main feature is the S-Pen, although i don't use it as much but when i do, it's totally helping me to achieve certain tasks, i also like how the Note looks.
S6 Edge plus is just curved from the edges, Android 6 should get it even better, more function would be possible by the edge strips.
All other they have the same SOC, edge might look for appealing but it's up to u.

y u quoting this? i answered before.
I had the Note5 when it released, and went to the V10 when it released. I am going back to the Note5.
The V10 has been a great phone. I can't begin to explain how nice it is to almost never have to plug in to charge - I always swap batteries instead. The camera on the V10 has a bit more fine-tuning, and much better low light potential, but in automatic point/shoot the Note5 seems to win in most camera comparisons. I also very rarely take pictures... even though the V10's camera was a huge selling point for me, I have no real use for it. Note5 will also outperform the V10, obviously. The audio quality on the Note5 certainly isn't poor, and I really don't notice the V10 being better with my $1,500 AKG K812 headphones, or $1,000 Shure SE846 IEMs - they're low impedance, so either phone drives them fine. The nice thing about the Note5 is having the built-in equalizer, whereas the V10 has none. The biggest selling point for the Note5 though, is the screen. OLED cannot be beat by an LCD. I have an LG OLED TV, and tried to buy a Samsung LCD for use elsewhere, but returned it - the quality is garbage compared to OLED. You're looking at the screen the whole time you're really using a phone - why not have the best screen possible? The lack of SD for Samsung kind of sucks because I have the 200GB card from the V10, but even with that, I have not used over 40GB counting internal storage as well, so the 64GB Note5 will be fine for me. I used to really think the S-pen was cool, but barely used that either. But it's still nice to have. I kind of wish the Note5 used on-screen buttons, but having that extra screen real-estate is nice.
Either phone is a great choice. As you can see I'm back and forth on certain points, haha. If the V10 had an OLED screen and better processor, I'd certainly stay with it. Kind of funny how LG dominates the OLED TV market, yet Samsung dominates the OLED phone display market.
I went from the Note 4 to a v10 mainly for the removable battery & SD. I had it for almost a month before trading it in for a note 5. Don't get me wrong- its a great phone, and at first I really loved it. But after a couple weeks I found myself growing more and more frustrated with it, mainly because of the awkward rear buttons and the bad battery life. The second battery I got from the promo was a necessity cause it simply would not last me the whole day even with battery-saving tweaks and a custom rom. The Samsung home button was still programmed into my muscle memory as well and I kept catching myself poking at the lower edge of the phone to turn it on. It was annoying to not have it there anymore. The fingerprint scanner rarely ever worked and I ended up just disabling it, which really sucked cause it was one of the features that drew me to it in the first place. I never realized how much I used the S-pen until it wasn't there anymore. I missed having hard buttons and found myself hating the stupid screen-shortening soft buttons. It's supposed to have the best camera on the market, but no matter what I did all my shots were either noisy or slightly blurry. I could go on, but you get it.
By the time I finally admitted to myself that there were more things I didn't like about it than things I did, it was too late to just return it and my only option was to do a jump upgrade to another phone. I didn't want to enter into another device payment for another note 4, so I grudgingly got a 64gb note 5 instead fully expecting to hate it, but ended up absolutely loving it. It's fast, I regularly end my days with 40% battery left, and I have full use of my whole screen again. Yes, no SD sucks but it forced me to finally go through all the crap I thought I needed to carry with me everywhere and found I didn't really need 2/3 of it. Got rid of about 25 gigs of music I haven't listened to in years, and rehomed my 128gb card in my tablet. I'm eating a bit of crow after all the crap I talked about the note 5 but I'm very, very happy with this phone.

I had G4 and while i played with the V10, they not that different, the v10 is better than G4 but not by that much. in fact, G4 is one of the worst phones i ever used, v10 is slightly above it.
If LG could make they own CPU that would rival 7420, unlocked bootloader without any drama and improve their LG UI and software, as i find the new touchwiz far better than lg, then they might tickle the Note 5, but seriously they both aimed at same yet different people, if u want best of the best of all except SD card and removable battery, you take the Note5.
If u mainly care about camera and sd card and battery to swap on the go, you go with V10, oh btw just recently LG recalled a lot of G4 that stuck in a bootloop because the connector inside are not well connected.
Funny you mention that... I find the current versions if TouchWiz much better than LG's skin too...
TouchWiz is to the point I kind of actually like it. I miss some of the features and layout when using my nexus devices. Never thought I would say that!

TouchWiz on MM is not that much different than it is on LP in terms of features. Though the beta we have isn't final so who knows exactly what is changed. I do like what I have seen so far in the MM beta though as it is even smoother than LP.

Both are great phones. LG has come a long ways.
I came from a note 5 to a G4, then a V10, and today, got some the note 5 again.
The note 5 is more polished then the V10. The V10 handed the Microsoft apps much better and the video was better. It was tough for me.

Amen. I talked so much crap about this phone, damning it as a failure because of no SD card, no ir, no removable battery, etc, but now that I have one I love it to death.
I had the V10 for a bit and thought I loved it, but the moment I picked up a Note 5 I knew I had to get one instead. I didn't have to think twice about ditching the V10, there is NO comparison when it comes to the Note 5. I have been a hardcore Samsung hater ever since the Galaxy S3 came out (The GS2 Epic 4G Touch is still one of my all time favs), but they completely won me back with the Note 5. It has literally changed the way I use my phone. I used to think I was a power user, but I didn't know how much of a power user I would become when I first got the Note, it has some seriously game changing features for me (notably split screen and everything the SPen allows). I rely far more on the capabilities of the Note 5 than on any device I have had before. The V10 is barely a memory anymore. The Note 5 is easily the greatest smartphone ever created, there is nothing else that comes close.
Ppl keep talking bout detouchwiz-ing note 5. I've tried nova launcher and Google now launcher and always found myself coming back to the touchwiz launcher. I can't live without the s planner (calender) widget, which didn't work which either launchers.
Been note 2, 3, 4 and 5 user. There is absolutely no lag on note 5. There is absolutely nothing wrong with touchwiz
Love my note 5 to bits!!
