[Q] Samsung Galaxy Core Plus root?

Hello!
I got this phone for christmas, slight upgrade from my ZTE Blade...
Been looking around all day and tried 4 different methods and still can't root the phone.
Anyone know a method which works?

I suggest you keep your eyes open for a update on the Samsung Galaxy Core sub-forum since there is no Samsung Galaxy Core Plus sub-forum

root sm-g350
only working method for getting root was the tool Kingo Android Root (http://www.kingoapp.com/). SuperSU installed from market
SuperSu installed from market and working, but now I have the problem that there is no cwm or twrp recovery to flash a customrom.

Hi, I have the same problem and I want to ask if you could choose the Gandalf exploit option because I downloaded framaroot 1.8.1 and under install SuperSU I can only choose Aragorn so I am a little confused.
It would be really helpful if you can tell me briefly what you did to root your Core plus, thanks in advance.

as I already have written in the post above -> I tried all known methods for samsung galaxy core plus (oneclickroot, framaroot 1.8.1 ....) but the only working solution in my case (SM-G350, Android 4.2.2, Baseband G350XXUAMKB) was the android root tool from kingoapp - now my device is rooted but there is no working CWM or TWRP for this model. I am working on an CWM for it but I stuck at compiling

I downloaded the framaroot app and when I select the option to install SuperSU it only appears the aragorn exploit... And that one doesn't work... do you have any idea of how can I root my phone?

It would be great to know if there is a method to root the Samsung Galaxy Core Plus SM-G350 and SIM-Unlock it (for example with a tool like GalaxSim, which does not work without root access)

Porting CWM to this device shouldn'd be that hard... I'd guess that the Galaxy Trend Plus comes with pretty much exactly same hardware and we could modify the CWM port for it or even flash it directly to our device. I'd try modifying the Trend's CWM but I'm afraid I'd just brick the phone...
From there on we could just flash SuperSU and our device would have root access.
EDIT: PS. PLEASE DON'T USE KINGO APP
It'll send your IMEI to chinese servers (apparently it's a bad thing, dunno why) plus install MALWARE on your phone and maybe on your computer too.

Hi, I'm wondering if I root my core plus will I be able to to remove some of the system apps which are just bloatware or are they odexed so they will return after every reboot?

i tried with vroot, kingo android root...but nothing. It's not work for me!

My device is rooted but after restart the root is gone i dont know why

I faced the same problem and then I removed some system apps and now, root access is permanent!!

Try 360 root apk it will definitely root ur on5 model because ialso have root access with on5

guys dont want to uninstall any valuable apps from samsung galaxy on5, U just turn off Knox security and root with king root app..Not with kingo root...at that time only u get permanent root access ...............!keep bleessed and keep inspired

Hi guys, I have been searching for the same since I have a galaxy on5 chinese model sm-g5500 and I finally found the answer which was existed right here on xda forums for some time unnoticed. This guy gave a working copy of TWRP recovery for On5. This twrp is meant for some different model with exynos 3475 chipset but luckily works fine with On5. Flash this twrp and then flash gapps using it. Easy!! NB: your phone will replace the newly flashed twrp with the stock recovery right after reboot. In order to avoid this you must prepare yourself to power off your device immediately after you see the message 'PASS' on odin. Pull off the back cover and quickly pull the usb cable abd battery after the 'PASS' message then take your time and start recovery mode by 'volemu-up+home+power' keys. This will boot into twrp at least one time for sure. I haven't tested it after an other reboot to see if it still there. My job of flashing gapps done anyway. That's all I wanted. Hope this helps guys.

In marshmallow.....still if u want to root downgrade to lollipop
And try to root with kingroot.apk
And flash twrp custom recovery

Which version of kingroot did you use to root your galaxy on5.
I have an On5 pro with MM and I even tried the latest version to root. It said that it has 76 requests to root this phone but its not enough to work on it. Plz help

Both of these are known to fail against this device, although I attempted to root with these to no effect.
Looks like the only sane way to root this device currently is via the pre-rooted option with Odin.

Hahahah theirs a way to root your device using Twrp recovery! we have already have that recovery that's why i root my g361f without free rooted rom

K5 Note cannot be rooted in Marshmallow(6.0) as of now because marshmallow rooting needs installation of custom recovery first, and no one has yet ported a custom recovery (TWRP CWM etc) for k5note. And porting custom recovery for k5note seems hard too cause the stock firmware has image check parameter, It doesn't flash just any customized image using SP Root tools.
However if you haven't updated it yet to marshmallow, It can be rooted when it is still in Android 5.1 Lollipop by using kingroot 4.50. , and then using Super Sume.

Hoping for a dev with a k5 note to compile twrp for this phone.... Would have done myself if I knew how to use ubuntu, but I do not.... But it's strange, k3 note has been rooted and has nougat roms available, why no love for k5 note ?

when you downgrade the Rom to 5.1.1 you can root it with Kingoroot.
I have make this with my Phone and it Work

About Phone :-
In terms of chipset, Lenovo K6 Power uses Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 505 GPU. Lenovo K6 Power uses 13 MP, phase detection autofocus, LED flash as primary rear camera. Lenovo K6 Power uses Non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery. Apart from this it has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM.

Can u tell me your device exact model ? Not k6 .. But the model number will be different like k860 or something else

currently maintain a website, are offline, but here you'll find how to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP .. I managed to unlock yesterday, but now the site is offline, so I can get on with TWRP ..
ok guys .. I unlocked the bootloader using these files from that site.
site will be online in a few days, but for those impatient here's how the procedure goes.
please when their site is online again, you all hit thanks to the person who created the files .. I just forwarded what the man did!
Procedure: (unzip the files in the root partition, I put them in the root C otherwise it will not work !!
Connect your phone to a PC via USB
install the drivers from folder
activate the USB debugging option and OEM unlocking (found in developer options)
run the batch file and that's it ..
your phone will restart and factory reset( Back up your data) .. the phone is now unlocked!

edit: mean while got the stock ROM from the Russian site... lets development begin now..
update : got the kernel sources too ... i will male a xda thread soon adding all these things

same for me. bricked after flashing SuperSu.
I need the custom stock rom (system.img, boot.img), because after trying everything I've formatted the entire root.
Can anybody help me?
