I have just brought a new Jiayu S3 from Jiayu shop. It has 3/32GB. The Jiayu website says it has a MT6752 inside, and has android 5.1 and is not rooted.
Is it a Jiayu S3+ or Jiayu S3A, I am confused with these terminologies.
It also does not connect well to the Australian networks, really not at all only sometimes.
Without flashing a new ROM, is there a way to root the phone so I can install TWRP recovery and flash some new modems. I flashed RC 5 to my old S3 to get rid of a virus. I had to flash new modems to get it working on our networks. RC 5 was rooted so no probs. All was good until silly me bricked it. So here I go with a new one.
I can not get this new phone to talk to SPFlash. All I get is the red bar and after a short time a window with PMT changed for ROM. Did not get this before. Tried reinstalling Vcom drivers but no difference.
Hope someone can help Ken.

Regards all.
I sent my beloved Galaxy S4 Google play edition (gt-i9505g) to repair at samsung's texas facilities. The phone was having the read sim card intermitent problem.
I called google support and the transferred me to samsung as they handle the repairs for google.
There Samsung technicians repaired and replaced several parts, but in the end installed the m919 4.4 os insteads of the i9505g 5.0.1 os that was in the phone when it was sent in for the repair.
Now the phone is having problems because the incorrect os was flashed.
I have called samsung over 10 times. What happened is that samsung uses a software to flash software that does not include the gt-i9505g on the flashable devices in the US and thus they installed the wrong one based on my current carrier. Odd as it was only sold in the US by GOOGLE.
K have tried to fix this by flashing vis odin and cyanogen to no avail. Took the phone to best buy samsung experience and they had the same situatiin as the texas repair, no can do. The phone does not let me...
Google support has no clue on how to solve this for me, they say its samsung... Anf so on
Help... How can I fix this.. And insatall the right os.....
If you boot in download mode what model does it say you have? If it says that you have a m919, then they replaced the wrong motherboard for a different model.
correct board I nstalled but....
Booted in download mode the model is correct... But. It says below that write is protected... Cyanogen mod installed does not recognize the phone for what it is neither kies. I believe the board is correct but the ROM is not.
Then just flash the latest stock I9505g rom with Odin.
Thats the problem

The problem is I have tried to install it with odin and with cyanogenmod....
And can not get it installed..... I guess something that samsung did does not let me do it.
I have used Odin many times in the past and cyanogen also...
What to do?
Can you get a custom recovery on it and then try flashing a rom?

Hi all,
I've recently been gifted the note 3 n900 and rooted it. I also installed TWRP and CWM as well, and when i go to install a ROM, it does say successfully and then at reboot, it shows the samsung galaxy note 3 screen, after that it goes blank. I've to do a battery pull to get it back and then restore a backup. I've tried many ROMs and also did rooting again, still nothing.
I've been using the galaxy s4 i9500 for about 2 years now and that is rooted and i've been flashing roms on it all year long with no problem. I'm just not sure what's going with this.
I'm currently on 4.4.2 official stock as I can't do much. Lollipop has not yet come to my region i think.
Any help would be widely appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Same Issue here but I am even not getting a samsung logo or a custom rom logo.

Hi
I had this problem for a couple of days, I found out that I flashed a incompatible rom via Odin. Can you can go into fast boot mode and tell me what it says at the top? Mine said " Couldn't do normal boot " which means the rom I flashed was not supported for my device. I went to the Samsung website to download a rom that was compatible with my device, I flashed it via Odin and it worked.
Thanks
I Just got my error fixed. U need to flash your bootloader via odin

I found that flashing the Stock Lollipop Rom worked, just as mentioned above by the above post. Yes, just by updating the bootloader i think it works. I've done it by getting the Russian stock rom from sammobile (even though i'm not in Russia), works like a charm. Really love the new feel to the note 3 n900. Just need to find a way to get permissive kernel now and ites perfect.
Hello guys,
I am verry sorry to bother you with this, but I am just to dumb for this part.
I am quite familiar with the whole custom rom business but I try to fix my mothers phone where I installed a Cyanogenmod custom rom (12.1) some time ago.
She experiences some mobile network issues which, I guess, are related to a old baseband / modem version causing troubles.
Can you tell me which version is the right one to flash via Odin or preferably via twrp?
I plan on updating it before installing the lastest 12.1 CM snapshot.
I believe she has the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 International with LTE and Snapdragon processor.
Under baseband version ("About the phone") it says I9505XXUEML6.
(I dont know if this is correct I can remember that I once installed a Google Play Edition Rom to get rid of the bloatware).
The phone was bought in Germany.
I know that you guys are probably busy with more important stuff but I'd really appreciate it if you could quickly help me with that.
Have a great day.
Thank you in advance.
Update: I got the files, changed the cable Odin passed but no version change!
Update 2:
Manually going into fastboot instead of using the reboot menu did it! Thank you so much. (Maybe add that info to the guide to avoid similar problems with othe people)
Thumbs up & good night!
Hi community I just need help to figure out what to do with my Tab 4 7.0 the history begins this way:
I get this Tablet already used not brand new it looked to have Android Lollipop 5.1.1 when I got it and didn't appear suspicious and lend it to one of my kids, the problem begins after some time the Tablet didn't connect to the Play Store anymore proly because my kids was trying to root it via KingoRoot or other apps to mess with some games, so after that I decided to solve the problem doing a Hard Reset but it didn't work, the tablet still can't connect to the PlayStore via RH-01 error message.
So I decided to flash it with the official stockl rom from Samsung, my BIG surprise is that this Tablet never get Lollipop 5.1.1 it didn't ever get Lollipop at all accordingly to this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/links-galaxy-tab-4-official-lollipop-5-t3102844
Because my tablet is the SM-T230NU (the model accordingly to the box is SM-T230NYKAXAR) model and that model never gets LL, so I figure it out this was a modified rom? Even in the Info about the device over settings it says the model of the device i "Nexus 5" instead of Tab 4 or whatever Samsung call this device but not Nexus 5 that is a phone from LG.
So I stopped here, because I've heard it can be dangerous to Downgrade Android versions? If not what should I do? Use Odin3 and flash the rom mentioned in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/links-stock-galaxy-tab-4-firmware-t3013128
For the T230NU USA variant? Hope u can advice me about what to do and give some tips because this will be my first flash on a device.
Thanks in advance! :laugh::good:
They probably flashed a custom rom with broken GAPPS, just restore with Odin and the official rom.

By restore u mean flash it with some of the roms provided in this link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab...mware-t3013128
So there's no problem if I have 5.1.1 right now and get down to 4.2 as is the official one?
Hello guys,
