Should I have received 7.0 by now? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Should I have received 7.0 by now?
Instead of enrolling in the Beta Program I thought I'd wait for the official OTA. I still haven't seen anything yet.

Questions belong in the Q&A sub forum, but for the most part people are not getting the OTA outside of the beta program. A few people who didn't register for the beta say they got the OTA but from what I've seen it's the same build as those in the beta.

I saw Motorola's blog post, but my device doesn't have anything available yet. As a matter of fact, I still don't even have the updated Google Calendar 5.0. I'd rather see the Play Store offer it than install the APK manually. Not sure when that will happen.
Keep checking. I have 2 on hand. One received it immediately, the other kept saying your device is up to date. Checked a short while later and it was there
Any word on if this official OTA will be pushed to those of us running the leaked .5 Lollipop build? Or will we still need to downgrade to stock 4.4.4 to receive the update? Thanks!

This is what I want to know too. I know it just started rolling out, but does anyone know yet?
You have no choice but to downgrade back to 4.4.4 using the images Moto released yesterday. Instructions are available throughout the threads here. There is not going to be a .5 lollipop to the final version. Nothing will come OTA to your device. I took the time last night to flash back.

Is that actually confirmed by Motorola? Seems odd they would offer a soak test and then tell all the testers to go back to 4.4.4 (which is far more challenging) to get the official update.

Yes, the update for the soak test users was only sent to them and no one has captured or released it.

That is the full update for 4.4.4 to the final version of lollipop. That's not a .5 to .6 update.

How much time for branded devices? I have an att dev.
I still have no update yet... Does the official OTA affected by the "root issue"? Also i'm curious if i will see OTA on my device if it's rooted?
If you carefully read my OP here, you'll understand the situation if you're on the .5 or .6 builds

I'm thinking those of us on beta 7.1.1 may have to roll back to 7.0 to catch OTA but not sure. Good question.. I'm gonna roll back and try and force update, no luck for me thus far on beta 711.. I'll report back later..

Great news tnx a lot for this info
I got the stock 7.1.1 OTA yesterday it's running good.
Hit the check now button to check manually, even if it already did automatically you can find the update manually.
Do anyone know if stock nexus builds support f2fs, and if, for which partitions? (I've done some mild google'ing on the topic with no definite answers).
I'm on the beta still no OTA update even when checking it manually

I checked mine about 100 times manually then downloaded full ota and flashed it using FlashFire app yesterday.
Any word on the Bluetooth issue from DP1+DP2 going away?
I had the beta 7.1, and had not received the official OTA.
my wife also has a 5X, but on 7.0, she got the notification the day after I read that they were rolling it out "in the next few weeks"
so I updated hers, then un-enrolled my device and as soon as I restarted mine I got the notification for 7.1.1
So far life is good with it, nothing major
the 2 things I am most peeved about is no Daydream VR and still have the Google search bar front and center (figuratively)
I enrolled my Nexus 5X in the beta program and when I try to side load the official 7.1.1 release it gives me an error: "Can't install this package over newer build. Installation aborted". Is there any significant change taking about stability and battery from the DP2 and the official release? Thanks!
Got the update to stock 7.0 few days ago. This is the fastest I have ever received any android update.
Did not even check manually for updates as I was not expecting this to be available or few weeks!

NOF27D (7.1.1) & N2G47E (7.1.2) - April 2017 update is out

There's a D or E version. Am I missing something on mobile view?
There are three, and only one is labeled. So tired of this issue. I tweeted at them, last month the fixed it right away. Dunno if my tweet has anything to do with it.
Edit: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. They are labeled correctly. One is 7.1.1, other two are 7.1.2.
D 7.1.1
e 7.1.2

Why would Google release 7.1.1 and 7.1.2 for Pixel? I was thinking that in April they would release 7.1.2 software update and not 7.1.1

Makes sense, but if my phone has 7.1.1 March update, then which version will be offered via OTA 7.11 or 7.1.2?
N2G47E finally brought WiFi call on Deutsche Telekom Germany (didn't use the N2G47J DT edition since I set up my phone with the unbranded version in the first place - what's the difference anyway?!).

I'm fully stock Verizon model locked bootloader on Project Fi. I believe that if you're on the beta it's a "later" build than the OTA 7.1.2 and you will not receive it. You will have to wait for an OTA from beta to release sometime in the future, or if you want rollback to the 7.1.1 March release and wait for the April OTA or sideload it. But that will wipe your device and you might not want to do that.

Update: Your theory could be correct that beta version could be newer and the phone needs to wait for a beta build. When beta program ends, then phone will automatically get public build or I can cancel the enrollment myself.
Understood! When I enrolled into beta program a week ago, my phone installed: NPG47I. I thought that when public version (7.1.2) is released, the phone with beta software should get it too. Before I enrolled into beta, the phone was running 7.1.1 and after getting into beta, the phone received 7.1.2.
Hi all, sorry if this is a silly question but if I'm rooted with TWRP should I not do an OTA update?
If I do it will it go through fine and I will just lose those mods?

3rd post in the thread below. Just get the 7.1.2 image instead of the 7.1.1 that I mention in the post.
Pay attention to removing the -w from flashall bat file. That is how you save your dara and apps.

Hello... The problem is:
The official build release date is older than the beta release date, so the OTA will likely fail...
You could unenroll from beta, recieve the 7.1.1 OTA and later take the 7.1.2.
Good luck... :good:

Yeah I was like WTF myself...
For final 7.1.2, it looks like the OTA has been built before the beta 2. Certainly no changes between beta 2 and final build.
As I said before, just unenroll from beta program, accept 7.1.1 OTA and you'll recieve 7.1.2 soon after...

No, but you can flash the full 7.1.2 image over beta. You should have already received the stable version. Just un-enroll from the beta program, download the full image and flash. To keep your data, just remove the "-w" from the flash-all.bat.

Kind of on System OS update loop.

So I am enrolled in android beta program. I was running latest version of 7.1.2 beta. I turned on phone today and had notification that the 7.1.2 N2G47H stable version was available, so I downloaded and installed. Once it installed and rebooted I received notification that 7.1.2 beta version NPG47I is available for download. Downloaded and installed and when rebooted, it told me that 7.1.2 N2G47H is available for download. This update loop is continuous, if I download one then I am notified the other is available, over and over again. Please help. What do I do? Should I just download beta NPG47I and ignore N2G47H stable update, since it looks like beta version is newer release? Unfortunately either way I am still going to have persistent notification of an update available.

Got this issue as well, surely it should remain on the stable till the next beta, possibly O and not notify about an old beta. Never happened before. Unenrolling from the beta means a factory reset? Must be a universal problem.

I've pushed so many buttons since starting I had to think, and your right, the small update came first (25mb) then the large (1.3gb) one...
It's currently asking me to install the large one (NGP47I) again. Might let it do that, then at least it's had the pair and Google can kill the request when they wake up to hopefully lots of notifications and bug reports about it in the morning!
Although I'm not sure what overwrites what... I presume the NGP47I is the big update, then the small one is just a mop up?
Currently looking in the custom rom section though, that always leads to me wanting to customise it and leave the stock ecosystem...
Same issue there. I may unenroll anyway, since my phone has been laggy as hell recently.

NPG47I is beta 2 and N2G47H is stable. There is not a newer beta, just the timestamp. Un-enrolling from the beta program will not wipe your phone. They will "eventually" send down an downgrade 7.1.1 OTA that you can flash if you decide to... or not. Nothing happens to wipe your phone in the background unless you decide to flash the downgrade OTA. If you are unlocked just flash the full stable image from Google. If you do this, you will not get any more notifications. If you are not unlocked and doomed to only OTA's, then unenroll and leave it on N2G47H until the May security update in 2.5 weeks. You can also try turning off "Automatic system updates" in dev settings but some ppl report mixed results.
So I installed stable version of 7.1.2 and unenrolled my phone from the beta program. Shut down and restarted phone and now all is right in the world. No more loop or persistent notification, and nothing got wiped. Sucks not being in the beta but I guess I can wait until the next beta release and re-enroll myself.
Left it on the stable 7.1.2, persistent notification present, disappeared today and all is good, still enrolled.
