So I went through a rough night last night after trying to install a custom ROM on my AT&T G Pad 7.0. I followed everything as clearly as possible as I'm not new to custom firmware flashing, etc.
My problem currently is that my G Pad 7.0 is some sort of bricked. I've never bricked a device before and I'm honestly not sure how to go about fixing it, if at all possible. What makes me really concerned is that when I turn the device on and try to boot it, these weird lines cover the screen as shown below, and the it sounds like it boots up just fine as you can hear the AT&T chime and touch responses, but all you can see is the lines that cover the screen and nothing else.

I can however, still manage to boot into TWRP if I do a factory reset through the buttons on the tablet, so it makes me hopeful for being able to fix it.

ROM I was using: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-candysix-2-3-aosp-base-layers-t3384289 (and I made sure I used the version for the v410 about 5 comments down)

For how I went about flashing the ROM originally, I had to revert the tablet from 5.0.2 back to 4.4.2 in order for the ROM to successfully install, and then I managed to root it with KingoRoot, and install TWRP. Then I put the ROM and the Gapps on the tablet, did a full wipe, and flashed them both in the order I was supposed to. Everything was successful, not a single error throughout the entire process, even the ROM said it was installed successfully. So I rebooted the tablet and that's when the lines showed up and the ROM never actually got booted. No sign of warning. So I got back into TWRP and tried flashing the stock 4.4.2 firmware from here, and it flashed successfully too, but to no avail as the lines were still there and it leaves me to where I am now.
And to add, I also cannot boot the device into download mode whatsoever.
Any thoughts or suggestions? It'd be really appreciated.
Let me know if you need any more information.

Sounds like a motherboard issue to me. Perhaps you could try using LGFlashtool to restore Bootloader, Boot, etc. Make sure to backup your efs before you do any of the previously mentioned. Late reply here, worse case scenario you hard bricked your device and you would need to jtag it and restore the device via a cable to the motherboard. But try LGFlashtool first.

I picked up a used Galaxy Tab from a kid for a decent price. It's a Sprint tab. I tried to "factory/data" reset but his info is still on it. I've done it a few times and every time it boots a whole bunch of his old apps would just fc over and over. I can even go to "manage applications" and uninstall his old apps and when I factory reset it, they re-appear? I'm using MY OWN micro card with nothing on it and it still shows up. When I go the market and click "My apps" it's a list of apps he had before, how can I get my own market apps to show? I tried to remove his gmail through "accounts and sync" and click "remove account" it tells me I need to data/reset....when I do though, it goes back to just how I got it. WTF
Also, in the status bar a little green check box is always up there and it says "tap to activate account" How can I make that go away as this is mainly going to be used for music in my car and wi-fi only
Another example. I put on Launcher Pro. Set it to default, rebooted and it's back to the galaxy launcher and all the apps that I deleted are back. What the hell? could it be booting into a backup somehow? Any ideas?
I have a sprint tab that I use wifi only.... I installed the cm7 from rootzwiki and it works wonderfully... I would use Odin and flash the sprint rooted gb on it first and go from there... there should be some guides here on xda to help you in your quest

Sorry to repeat posts, so I got the MSL #. Went to memo's did the ##786# deal and entered the MSL and did a "manufacturer" reset and it went right back to how it was. So I powered off, held up and power and got to here:

Anyone familiar with this recovery? Any ideas? I just want this to be default and functional instead of force closing and reverting back to whatever it's going back to.
That recovery has a factory reset option. That's the reset you want.
I've done that, and it boots to the same trash. I swear it's like it's set to boot to a backup. Doesn't matter what I install/delete it always reboots to the way it was.
Flash the stock rom on top your rom.
Have you tried to format the internal sd card?
I odin'd it back to the stock sprint rom, still boots to the state. No memory card inserted it still does the same thing. I'm going to purchase a XOOM today and just swallow the 300$ I spent on it.
Don't give up just yet... flash the cwm in Odin, boot into cwm and install say the CM7 from rootzwiki... boot into it and do a quick setup,(don't go too crazy customizing it if you don't want to keep it) then Odin the stock GB file, doing this will for sure wipe all data and stop your fc issues... if you need more specific help pm me and I can guide you step by step, I've flashed my share of roms on my sprint tab :-D

Hello everyone,
I'm having a strange issue on my i9000 and it is now in a semi-brick state.
I had AOKP (ICS rom) running perfectly, when I flashed a rom update and it suddenly rebooted and went bootloop.
Since then I had no way to boot anymore: tried a data/cache wipe, and still it freezes on the GS logo. Then I tried to restore my nandroid backup (which is based on my old gingerbread rom), but it doesn't boot anyway. If I go to cwm (the old version 3.x.x) it returns me a lot of errors like "unknown path - sdcard etc etc" and I cannot flash anything from my internal or external sd.
What can I do? Can I flash any rom from Odin in order to restore it?
Thank you for your kind help-.
Please use odin to flash a stock rom
Read the instructions on samfirmware or sammobile
Good luck

Pasted from other thread:
I just wrote a wall of text b4 and my browser crashed GG
Well, here we go again, i will only tell what I did/the process
I did a nandroidbackup, then i wiped all data (data+cache+dalvik), installed CyanogenMod 9 (Build 16), it rebooted automaticly, so I entered recovery again, installed Google Apps from there, wiped data and cache (no dalvik), rebooted.
Ended up looping at the Samsung screen (not animation), and I couldnt do the 3-button-combo, so the NANDroid backup is useless.
I can enter the download thing, but i dont even know what it does.
Tried plugging it in the charger (after letting it dry out during the night), and only the loop thing appears. Cant do anything.
I see that theres something called odin (Since my download thing is working (VolDown+Home+Power) if its that you mean.
If its possible to fix my phones state, please tell me how, since I startedrooting, flashing and stuff yesterday (Gotta start at some point) and followed HDTechVideos tut (On his website)
Is it possible for me to follow the video w/o JIG, since i can do the 3 button combo
Ok. I had stock rooted for awhile from Apr of last year until a few months ago when I decided to venture out & try CM. I decided to switch ROMs because my phone was feeling sluggish. CM really didn't help.
So, recently I tried to go back to stock & keep Knox off my phone. I was on MF9 baseband/modem. I was reading the 2 threads on how to get NAE modem working with MF9 & I couldn't get either method to work. Neither would enable me to have Wifi enabled. I tried several times going through each process. (These are the threads: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277480 & http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2650706).
I tried flashing CM on top of NAE, it just froze on the Samsung boot logo. I tried flashing it from Philz/CWM, neither worked.
I tried Odin flashing MF9 stock rooted. Again froze on Samsung boot logo. I flashed the MF9 All in One modem/bootloader, THEN Odin flashing MF9. Still no go.
I'm in the process of a stock MK2 ROM flash/install & will try to flash CM again. I'm almost ready to restore a 6 month old NAND, but I'm not sure if that helps me (does the NANDs back up bootloaders? I forget).
I'm at my wit's end. No Wifi, no text messages. Phone calls not connecting or ringing. Really frustrated.
Try to boot back to stock recovery and do a 'factory reset'. Remember that the first boot take a FULL FIVE EARTH minutes.
If that fails...
Try to Odin a custom recovery, but don't check 'autoreboot' after odin completes do a battery pull. Then try and start again.

I've had 4 different recoveries on here, stock/CWM/TWRP/Philz. I've Odin'd and recovery flashed them.
I've unchecked autoreboot and f.start(?). I've battery pulled. Nothing seems to be working.
I need a completely stock ROM that will just work the first time. This is just getting ridiculous.
How do I determine if I've got Knox already?

Well, at least I'm not insane . . . & I don't knox. I'm going for a full stock restore of MF9, see if that doesn't help.
HOLY CRAP! FINALLY!
I read someone was having something similar & flashed via Odin, then shut down & flashed a recovery via Odin, formatted Data in recovery & reboot. That's exactly what worked. Just waiting to see if I get cellular data working (getting texts, etc) but I've got Wifi again!.
So I had been on SuperS4 NAE rom (w/ MF9 bootloader) for awhile when I decided I wanted to try out a different ROM and figured I'd flash up to NG2 while I was at it. I used Odin to flash NG2 Modem Only (via https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712458249) and then flashed Sacs v4 NG2 through PhilZ recovery. Upon booting up, I would get constant rebooting after 10seconds-2 minutes of turning on. Even after leaving it alone for an hour, doing any simple function (opening settings, etc.) would cause the phone to lock up and reboot. I managed to get to the phone status screen and verified that baseband, modem, and build were all NG2. To make sure the problem wasn't ROM related, I flashed the Negalite NG2 ROM. Upon booting up, I was greeted with the same exact problem. To test if it was recovery related, I flashed TWRP via Odin and re-flashed both Negalite and SuperS4 to the same result.
I was annoyed with all the problems so I decided to use odin to flash back to NAE and then I followed up by flashing back to the SuperS4 NAE (not a nandroid, just fresh install). The reboots were still there, but less common. However, I noticed several other similar problems: updating/installing apps in Play Store getting an error (RPC:S7:AEC07), phone/settings crashing, weird black bar on screen/flickering.
Wanting to fix my phone, I gave up on trying to save my MF9 bootloader and just went with a stock NG2 odin-flashable (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-sprint/development/rom-stock-ng2-odin-flashable-t2861576). It wiped the ROM and custom recovery. In the default recovery, I wiped data/factory reset and booted into the default ROM. Things seemed fine initially, but then some reboots started happening... and I am unable to install apps in the play store... and phone/setting crashes. Random little things such as attaching a photo to a gmail message causes the phone to reboot.
At this point i'm at a loss at what to do. "Normal" use of my phone leads to at least 2 reboots a minute, not allowing me to do really anything. Is there a way to go about having logcat run all the time and save dumps before reboot so that I could at least get some hints as to whats going on?
Here is my current phone status:

EDIT: To be honest, looking at my Download mode screen, I'm not sure if that stock NG2 flash thing actually even updated my firmware. Shouldn't it show KNOX status here?
Hey guys, I know I am pretty new to this but I've spent all morning and day so far working on my LG G2 T-Mobile D801 on Lolipop 5.0.2
I've initially tried to follow a guide to install the CloudyG2 3.3 version. I was able to root it at home last night using the one_click_root, wiping the 3 sections and installing CloudyG2 3.3. Something went wrong at the end and the phone would just turn on, flash LG and go away.
Well after digging around all morning, I got it back using the following guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Now I am back to basics, my phone is where it should be and I want to re-start the process of rooting it but my main issue is whichever method I try to root with, nothing works.
I have tried the one_click_root (GUI and script) and it does the same thing. The software sits at 90% while the phone at the upgrade window sits at 0%.
I have tried to open SuperSU as another guide called for using that to root, but I am getting that "there is no SU Binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it".
I've treid IOroot and the same thing. The process will run, the phone will go into that firmware update window but sits at 0%
When I've tried to reflash the phone back to the D801 T-mobile .kdz, the process runs good and the firmware update window works as it should (detecting com port and all).
I have installed all the LG drivers, nothing shows up with an exclamation mark.
Is it possible that somehow I've corrupt a section of the filesystem that stores the root/SU info?
Is there something I can do to try to completely wipe the phone including any partitions and bring it back to a factory specification (I've tried hard reset also) so that I can re-attempt to get root?
Thank you
So a small update.
After doing the D801 T-mobile .kdz reinstall and trying to root right off the bat...the LG one click root program would not complete.
I did notice that once I had network connectivity, the OS prompted me for an OS update.
I just completed that and tried to root again using the LG one click root program...it worked.
I am able to confirm Root now via SuperSU or TWRP Manager.
Try kingroot
edit. pardon i didn't see your second post
Thanks igli83, I will give that a shot next time around.
So I've ran into another problem. As I've been trying to follow multiple guides and such, wherever the recovery data gets stored, I think I have some corrupt data there.
When I use AutoRec to flash TWRP and then use QuickBoot to boot into the recovery mode, my phone bricks.
I then have to use SRKtools (option 5 in menu then unbrick option) to get my phone back up. When I mean it bricks, it creates those 15+ internal hard drive's in windows and won't power on/show anything.
Is there a way I can fully reset the file structure/data to factory? or is there a way to correct my recovery issues?
When I try to get into recovery, this is what occurs now
