Android Authority just released there video review of the Mate 7, while they do decent reviews in a realistic way it says a lot when they gave him a "EDITOR'S CHOICE"
Nice review, this is gonna make it harder for me to choice which device i go for in 2 months from now. (Nexus 6, Note4, Mate 7)

Its a good review indeed and I'm pretty much on the same boat as you word er gek van!
The specs aren't that great compared to the note 4/nexus 6 tho.
The thing that I do like is the battery size.
I'm concerned about the software updates tho, Huawei doesn't have a good track record of that.

Yes. That announcement in the US for non-upgrade of mate 2 is disappointing.

The specs are indeed not comparable with the Note 4 and the Nexus 6, but it comes very close to them (especially when you keep in mind it is 200$/euro cheaper) and in normal day to day usage you wouldn't notice the difference anyway because in speed, screen quality the difference is to small to notice. (If you dont compare them everyday)
But also my major concern of the Mate 7 is the official update support and rom development, because when i buy a new phone/renewal contract i keep the phone for 2 years.
And if they do the same trick as they did with the "Mate 2" it would be very disappointing, an update support for 24 months on a new device (Mate 7) would be in place if they want to compete against Samsung and Apple.
And second it comes to custom rom development....when do not update the phone in a proper way (or not what i had in mind) i want to be able to flash custom roms, and while there is ROM development on different Chinese forums, i am a bit skeptical if there going to be enough development on this XDA forum.
And i have not enough free time (Father, 3 kids ) that i can make my own roms they way i did in the past on my galaxy S1.
This is my vision at the moment.
I have not decided yet, my renewal is on the first week of januari 2015 so i have almost 2 months to look where the Mate 7 development is going to

Well, the review said it's 700 dollars. That ain't cheaper than a nexus 6. Pretty expensive for the hardware you get imo.
I'm still undecided, depends if the 3gb 32 gig version comes to The Netherlands.

499 euro in the netherlands for the 2gb/16gb version and 549 euro for the 3gb/32gb version, see link below
Note 4 is 700 euro and Nexus should be around (guessing) 650 euro?
The 3 versions in dutch webshop
So yeah, the price difference isn't that much (200-300euro) if you keep in mind that i use the phone 2 years.
So i hope that the mediamarkt or another phone shop is getting the Huawei on stock so i can see and try it out in my own eyes and hands
Phonearena just did a comparison. I am disappointed with the camera tbh and was hoping for better quality but this is an area huawei are quite weak.

Thats a nice price for the 3gb version. Hopefully it will become available then. I'm not downgrading to a 2gb version, my note 3 has 3gigs of ram and it's always full.
Btw, on that site the nexus 6 32gb is listed as cheaper at 449 euro.

Good prize for the Gold in 3 Go of ram and 32 Go of memory but not in stock ... it's a real dual sim or only european 1 sim ?
What's happening with the warranty on this site and full compatible in Belgium with Base, Mobistar or Proximus ?
Hi all, and especially the Dutch posting here :highfive:
I've been considering this phone ever since I heard about it. I've got big hands and love the wideness of the Note 3. Most phones are long, but slim. The Mate7 is even a little bit wider, and has smaller bezels. Sounds perfect! That it doesn't have the best hardware doesn't bother me that much, if the batterylife is half of what it seems to be.
Has anyone gotten their hands on one of the Mate7's, preferably with 3GB RAM, and know how it's batterylife is doing? And if in Europe, where did you order yours? What would be a good shop?

The battery life is awesome, 4100 mHa! You can order the international version at Amazon DE France, for 2 GB RAM L09 version. We have sold units 3 GB RAM TL10 version to Holland and it works perfectly there.
Thanks for your reply! Do you know when the black 3GB version will be released? The gold doesn't really appeal to me. The live chat at liaow told me it could take a couple of weeks.

Our HUAWEI lady said not in a month or so. The silver version is running as limited production now. Really, the Gold looks very nice in hands, confirmed by several forum members (who also are our customers).
The Gold version is also OOS and the situation will last till Mid December. In this month, HUAWEI will deliver 1.4 M units to China Mobile, China TeleCom, and China UniCom. So the premium version, 3 GB ROM 32 GB RAM version, will be limited manufactured.
Glad to hear T-Mobile and AT&T LTE work on it..
I know someone who wants to sell me the Mate 7 brand new for $300. I'm on TMobile and I'm financing a 128gb S6 Edge but I'm still in the return period. Should I keep the edge or get the Mate 7 and have no payment?

How much did u buy edge for ??
IF they gonna give you refund DON'T think even minute...
Of course Mate 7 i worth big nice screen battery 2 days on edge not even full day ..
and that price ?? OMG like for free .. I purchased my mate 7 for £300
It depends on what you are looking for in a phone. If you are a samsung fanatic then by all means get it but if you like longer battery, bigger screen and a cheaper price then get the HAM7.
PS check if its the 2gb or the 3gb version that your buddy has

2GB version. If I return the edge today I will get a full refund. Should I pull the trigger? Any issues using it on tmobile?
If it was a 3gb that would be a good deal! but 2gb and super delayed updates, I think the edge should work fine for you if you accept its disadvantages
I love the edge except for the battery life. The fasthe charging makes it bearable though

DEFO go for it .. u will save the money + you will have ''the phone'' bargain !
You will STILL be calling ,smsing, emailing, interneting .. u don't need updates for your life .. ''updates'' are gimmick for ppl get brainwashed..
If phone works it doesn't need anything..
2gb 09 works fine on T-Mobile and LTE
id not even think about it, i personally owned few samsung devices under the galaxy brand and note brand, and i had devices like apple, oneplus one and others but the mate 7 is my best of the best multimedia devices i dont even call it a phone no more only topped by the p8 max
So whether you like buying stuff from a foreign middle east country or not... this is really the only place I have seen the NXT-L29 version of the Mate 8 for sell, not sold out... Mine has already shipped and should be here in the States by Friday or Monday... Tracking shows it in Germany right now... Plane transfer probably, then onto the States and DHL for delivery.... :good:
Don't know about customs charges but just did a quick calculation on pitney-bowes site and they said it might be $1......
Have fun!!!!

No... not really, just got to know how to play the system... Had an AL-10 didn't like the Chinese stuff and it had the notification issue a lot worse than reported L29's with google related apps... sold AL-10 for profit on swappa and bought L29 even cheaper... Getting S7 Jump On Demand for $0, if I like it better than L29 than I will sell the L29 on swappa at a profit and keep the S7... If the S7 isn't as good as the L29, than I will return it to TMobile or sell it for a profit...
The only thing I don't like about the L29 is that I'm a big Android Pay fan... sadly since its an international phone, Android Pay doesn't work... And I'm not wanting to root the phone to find out if I can get it to work with some kind of workaround (don't even think the workaround works anymore anyway)....
Essentially if you like new, state of the art phones, there are ways to invest very little $$$$$, always have the latest and greatest phone :good:  :victory:
lol, couldnt bother doing that, way too much hassle involved ^^ ill stick with my mate 8 for the next 2-3 years without looking back or buyer's remorse, problem solved

Hey guys,
Just have a question here regarding the Axon 7. I'm considering buying this beautiful device however I am having some doubts. Are any of you guys with T-mobile? How is the reception? Is carrier aggregation working? Should I be waiting for the next Axon 8 to come out? haha ><
thanks for looking guys
I'm on T-Mobile. No real issues at all. I don't know if carrier aggregation is working or not, I have no "+" or anything next to the LTE symbol.
Whether you get a 7 or wait fr the new model depends. Do you need a phone NOW!!!?
Or can you afford to wait and pay the price hike that will come with it?
Right now the 7 is a good device still, but aging and if you're on something older than the 7, the 8 or 9 will be a huge leap up rather than just an upgrade to the 7.
I don't need an amazing powerhouse so the 7 was a bargain for me as a run out model at run out price.

well not really. My moto z play is fine and in great condition. I just cant stand the camera sometimes.
I was just looking at the Pixel Experience download page (https://download.pixelexperience.org/) and it says there is a download for the Redmi Note 7 Pro (violet), but I don't see one for the Redmi Note 7 Global Version (lavender). So I'm wondering if there will be one for this or if the one for the Pro version would work. I live in the United States so the Global Version has a lot better network coverage than the Pro Version. Especially for LTE 4G. Actually I bought a Pro Version one from China and I'm waiting to receive it. But will attempt to return it or may just sell it here. But I also bought the Global Version which is out for delivery to me even as I type this. Just joined these forums and they're great. Thanks for your help.
Please refer to the right section. I was hyped when I saw your title and thought that it was released. We should wait for the developers, IIRC letsmakecake is currently on it
