Pretty much title, the thread about upgrading doesn't have much information about upgrading the L02 and losing Band 28/700Mhz 4G connection is something I don't want to risk. Anyone tried it with theirs?
ive tried a bunch of update.app files tonight and no success it keeps failing

Howdy everyone,
So I didn't want to post here and spam the forum, but I really need the help of our community....
My phone is from Italy, Wind provider. But now I am in Egypt and they don't seem to push any updates, plus I'm rooted and unlocked, so...
Currently on EMUI 4.1.1 / 6.0 / VNS-L31C113B150
I want to upgrade to Nougat, but there seems so many builds here and upgrade should be in a specific order, which I can't seem to figure out
Doesn't matter if I upgrade to non carrier specific... the only important thing is to be on latest Nougat build, unlocked and rooted
I'm sure many others will benefit from this as well
Appreciate your help
Debrand your phone flashing this update: https://goo.gl/CvuiIb, it's C432B160
Then follow this tutorial: https://goo.gl/pQ9WAw, I advise you the HiCare method if it's possible
first of all, wrong thread, as you probably know, second: there's enough guides explaining how to install nougat/unbrand your phone. also, the nougat ota is available to most, don't know about your provider
Some info
Baseband:BPB1
Bootloader:BOD5
Magisk installed
>Baseband/Modem
Can anyone post a link to the thread with the most recent Verizon Baseband/modem, and how do I flash the file?
>Bootloader
Is it safe to upgrade to the latest version? If so, a link to the thread with the most recent bootloader would be helpful too. I think you flash this via odin from the BL option right?
After Lineage OS merged all S5 versions together it's been extremely hard to find support for these specific files and directions, so any help would be appreciated.
Re you having a signal issue? i know i am and havent gotten any assistance over at lineage support (though im not complaining since its free). Lozs of signal - dropped calls - loss of data connection.
Try updating to 6.0.1 and then updating to lineage I had the same problem a while ago and that seemed to fix it.
I've been searching our forums here but it doesn't seem to be clear how to do this successfully?
My personal situation is having C100 device which I "rebranded" to C128 in order to upgrade to Nougat (guide here) which also included rooting and custom recovery.
I've seen some people having issues updating a rooted device which has custom recovery. Does anyone have experience on this and is able to share?
I would ideally like to update to B353 on current C128 (USA) line of updates, or rebrand back to C100 (EU) and update to B305.

Think it's simply not possible. Tried every variant several times. Only way to get it updated was to make a rollback to Android 6, update it, and then root it again. Kind of cumbersome...
Hi.
I am currently on latest Havoc [6-Feb-2019] Pie build. Since I have upgraded from an AOSP Oreo build to a Pie build, I am facing issues of poor mobile network reception. I have tried switching to other Pie ROMS (namely Viper and MSM), but it did not solve the problem. The network sporadically goes off completely, and otherwise I am getting just 2 signal bars. I understand this is not the correct way of describing signal strength, but the network is really bad, which is leading to sketchy voice while on calls, and poor Internet speed.
This was not the case until I was on Oreo based ROM. I was wondering if flashing a modem only from an Oreo firmware might help? I am unable to find a 'Modem only' file to flash. Can somebody help me provide one, since a related thread is only providing 'Firmware+ modem file' and not a 'modem only' file like it was available sometime back. You may even guide me on how to delete the firmware files, which I tried but it corrupted the zip.
The network I am on works on LTE only.

Firmware and modem you'll find here for example https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/index-oneplus-5-cheeseburger-t3810283/post76943585
But custom aosp based roms never change modem files hence you are still on Oreo firmware/modem.
I meant, I am on Pie Firmware currently, but wanted to flash 'Radio/Modem' from an Oreo firmware. I had checked the thread shared by you, but the files provided there are 'Firmware + Radio zips', I wanted (to flash) 'Radio' only zip file (if that that is possible).
Hello there,
I want to port the J120W firmware (Android 6.0) to the J120x phones (Android 5.1.1). I have both firmware files and I only see a difference in overall size of the partitions.
After updating my Android Dev Tools I've fixed CSC, boot.img, and system.img. I don't know what to do with the J120W references in the configuration files, I could change those to refer to any other J120 model. Nonetheless I want to test the firmware without said changes and see what odin, or hopefully logcat has to say. The firmware "should" be ready to flash, but I can't seem to find the phone to do so.
If you want to help beta test the firmware, hit me up.
Update: It works!, It's booting up!. Bluetooth pairing and 4G support both seem to be broken. I think I can easily fix that.
wow you already got it up and running, nice! i would love to flash it but i dont have a pc atm. Anyway any progress on the Bluetooth pairing and 4G support?
Not yet, I've tried many things but both Bluetooth and 4G are broken. It also has wifi and battery problems.
It seems like these problems can only be solved by making an appropiate rom from the extracted resources of this firmware. The problem is that I don't know how to do that. I've tried before to no avail.
Hey is this rom has been realese? I want to try this rom (sorry my english is bad )
