Hi
This is really a warning to anyone who has an Android wear (or probably any other kind of smartwatch)
My Gear LIve and LG Watch R worked perfectly with KK and Lollipop but with MM 522 it just would not work properly at all
i worked with a dev of one of the apps and it was only the Huawei with MM that caused any problems and notifications were just not getting to the watch
MM on a samsung worked no trouble and going back to 5.1.1 on the M7 again worked perfect
I liked MM but i didnt see that much difference to being worth keeping without the watch
So if you are planning on Upgrading and have a smartwatch then you will have issues
I am now back on 5.1.1 and rooted and all works fine
I have Asus ZenWatch 2 and it works with B522 properly. Only issue I have noticed is infrequent unconnecting, about twice a week. But I just run Android Wear app and watch is connected again.
I must admit I'm surprised that's is working OK for you add the tests we got when trying to resolve the issues were all down to huawei and the non standard calls they make and the permissions issues that were occurring
The doze feature in mm seemed to be conflicting with huawei's own features and stopping a lot of the notifications getting through even though those apps were set to protected.
It also seemed to be an issue with 1 app calling another appointment and again even though that permission was granted it still gave us issues.
But I suppose in the end every setup is different and in all honesty I don't think mm was a great step up grim lollipop anyway or at least not on the huawei
Sent from my SM-N920C using XDA-Developers mobile app
I have a Samsung Gear S2 Classic and since I installed MM on my MT7-L09, Samsung Gear app will not not load, it just opens and closes in a flash.
The only way to make it work is to switch off the Bluetooth on the phone, then open the Samsung Gear App, and press connect from the app. This will switch the Bluetooth back on, connects to the watch and the app works.
Weird and very frustrating until I figured out a workaround!

I have a moto 360 2nd gen and works with no issues what so ever with MM, if anything it has become more reliable so it may just be a conflict with particular manufacturers?

I've got the first gen Moto 360. when I updated to MM my watch at didn't receive any notifications (even the test ones). I did a factory reset and everything works fine now. The only issue I have is that sometimes the Gmail app pushes a ton of notifications for the same email.
Hello,
i have bought a Lenovo K6 and it has and integrated support for VR, splitting screen system-wide in two as shown in this picture. I find that extremly convenient, because i can surf the web outside with one of those VR-Glasses.
As far as i know it's only supported on a few Lenovo K... devices, but as i may need to buy a need phone i'd like to know how to upgrade another phone that hasn't got this option so that it is also able to do that. There's of course no gyroscope necessary as there is no 3D maneuvering going on, just seeing the screen in full-size through those glasses via SBS (Side-By-Side) View.
So what i need is simply a Splitscreen, does anyone know an option to do that? Would be very appreciated
I saw this on a K6, too. I would like to do this on my Redmi Note 8 Pro, too. Did you find a solution yet?
I noticed that on my Lenovo note K5 too... But now that I have a VR headset I no longer have that phone working. R8 now I am using realme 5 pro .. and looking for any apps/ magisk module that could give me that VR split screen function ....
I've been searching this for a long time still haven't got any solution. I am using Samsung J6+. If got any module or any app, please post it here. I don't know why it is too hard to just duplicate the screen to two. Why isn't there any magisk modules yet.
so for a wile now I've been trying to get gear vr to work with with custom roms, mainly the light weight roms that have removed all Samsung stuff, I've gotten as far as getting most of the needed files installed and being able to launch a vr game, but one thing, once you do launch a game or anything vr and put the headset on you cant mover around on it, when you go to move your head it stays still, and I'm thinking its a driver issue or something not sure , any help to get it working will be awesome, and I'm just wondering why getting gear vr to work on rom is such a grey spot still?
Did you ever figure out how to load the Gear VR on lightweight ROMS? Trying on Project Alice. Not sure what to do. Thanks bud
New here so first, Hello to everyone.
I am planning to buy a LEMFO Lem4 pro. The things that attracted me most is the large screen and full call functionality. Have watched a number of reviews on YT which helped to gain trust on the build quality & battery so far, but left with the following questions-
1. Once YT video I saw on "Hidden Settings" where every app opended were in Potrait mode. So, is there any option to make all apps in landscpae orientation, to work comfortably from wrist?
2. I saw some posts regarding problems after OTA. So, id there anyway to disable OTA update or there is a fix already?
3. Saw something regarding GPS/Accelarometer not working but starts working after inserting SIM. Does that problem still prevails or any solution out there?
4. Can someone give a hands on review after a month / number of days use? How it's still going? How much stress it still handles? Touch response slow? Wrist turning activating watch slow? something like these.
5. Is it okay to stay with the stock android if I strictly want to use for making calls, reading emails, sending text and use absolute necessary apps like Google maps or YT. Or there is a way to root yet?
6. Previously I was planing to buy Finow Q1 pro, then saw a serious notification problem (from XDA board). Is there any software related issue with the stock android also?
Thanks for you patience .
Re Lem4 pro
I have a Lemfo Lem4 pro since 3 months and i use it as my primary phone with sim inside.
1 : use 'rotation control' apk on play store.
2 : no problems after OTA.
3 : no problem with GPS (but i have my sim inside).
5 : it's ok with stock Android and not rooted.
This is the best watchphone i ever get ( have tested more than 10 models since 10 years ), the sound is really good in phone call, the screen is great (cool for the eyes), GPS is ok with Google-Map, wifi and bluetooth ok, despite the big screen she's cool to wear because lightweight, strap can be change... I use it with vocal command (Google) for everything : call, reply to sms, research, etc...
No problems and happy with this watch.
I have already bought the new Lemfo LEM4 Pro watch phone about 1 month ago and I love it! Nice big enough 2.2 inch screen, easily visible at daylight
Looks Slimmer and weights lighter than the Neptune Pine and with 16 Gigabyte of onboard non-removable memory, I have already installed many apps and used almost half of its memory (only apps, no music, photos or videos as they take huge amounts of memory, but I did copy some of all aforementioned files just for fun and they work great)
It comes with a very restrictive app launcher, just install any launcher from the Google Play store and you can install any widgets and apps you like, I went for the Nova Launcher and it works great
On the negative side, the GPS doesn't work (maybe I am doing something wrong?), it has only one useless other than video conferencing front facing camera that has terrible resolution and accelerometer doesn't work for some reason
But I much prefer it than the bulky Neptune Pine, also thinking of buying a cheap flat camera for the occasional snapshot that I need to take while on the go

I have to agree. I have two Neptunes 128GB. I also have a lem4. They are all wasted by the crippled Kernel and OS.
Now the LEM 4 PRO. Wow, I paid over the odds for it, but I didn't mind as LEMFO UK, have always been good to me.

Its semi rooted. Very frustrating, as I cant use any of my banking apps.
I ended up fully rooting. Rooting was tricky. I started by following what I posted in LEM4 thread. Root fails. So you have to factory reset phone. Install the Windows version of Kingoroot and run that on freshly erased LEM4 PRO. It will take a while and then come back saying its failed. Reboot LEM4 PRO, install SuperSU app and you will find its rooted even though it failed. Bonus is now it didn't install all the Kingo crap.

many thanks for the replies everyone. I have already ordered Lem4Pro and now waiting for this to arrive. About the rooting, can you elaborate the process a little? May be 6-7 bullet points? That would be very helpful. And I remember to read some guide line about the GPD issue ... here it goes for you guys to try out-
I found a solution to broken GPS on Lem4 pro if it has failed for some if they factory reset watch after the latest firmware upgrade. I flashed back the Aug 2 firmware and did not factory reset after this update and GPS returned to normal. To keep GPS working you must not factory reset watch after OTA or Flashing firmware All good now This is a temp fix until or if a new firmware fix becomes available.

Hi, could you share a link with aug 2 firmware? Unfortunately GPS does not work in my lem4 pro too. Thank you.
How Can I remove google account on my Lem4 Pro? I need to change google account on my Play Store in Lem4 pro. How to change it?
Phone call quality.
Hi all!
Regarding phone call quality of you useing the watch as a stand alone, how good is it? How good is the signal strength compared to regular cell phone?
And how well does Google assistant translate voice accurately? Does it mess up text messages?
I've had Lemfo lem 4 and was disappointed about phone call quality, even changing providers. People couldn't hear all of what I said when having lesser reception, even if my cell phone had no problems in same areas. I live in Stockholm, so signals should not be a problem unless it's a week antenna on the Lemfo.
Any experiences about this would be much appreciated!
Best regards!

Excellent info!
One question; do you have experience of the regular lem4 (not the pro), and if so, is the call quality or signal strength any better?
Reason for question is that I owned the regular lem4 and had problems with the antenna.
Thx!
Beware that this device is not equipped with a magnetic sensor. Very sad, given I bought it exactly for navigation (why else would you want a smartwatch with huge screen? who would expect that nowadays devices without compass still exist?!) GPS navigation software will not be able to show you direction of you walk, only change in your location - very inconvenient...
Guys,
Have one of these but find if i charge it from a pc then the display becomes corrupt and disappears. The only way to fix
this is to reboot the watch after every recharge. Is this normal?.Thanks
les
Good to know about the gps hardware that is non-existent!!
Actually, this is just one more thing to frustrate me even more right now.
Im from Brazil and I just bought this new huge thing in my tiny wrist ( the pictures I've seen on internet do no justice of it's size and bulkiness) and the one thing i have to say is: i dont know what im doing.
I wasnt able to put another keyboard that was easier to use,
i couldnt syncronize with my phone so that I could receive the notifications
I wasnt able to get it to recognize my sim card until one day later with it inserted
I wasnt able to get it to respond to my "ok google".
the google voice command that people told me to install receive my commands in portuguese but only obeys if they in english (?! wtf) so I can't really use it because it recognizes what i am saying in english as the closest word in portuguese there is...
I wasnt able to do voice-to-text writing even tho it came with the device settings.....
realsed only just now that there practically no apps for this particular smart watch that really is fitted for it.
all of the apps for smart watches on the play store are for Android Wear watches and dont work on it, because this is an Android 5.1 especifically made for this product...
I'm just lost as, on top of all that, all the content I find on the internet to educate myself is in english and in technical jargon
Very frustrated!
Lemfo Lem4 Pedometer
Hi,
I have an issue with my Lemfo Lem4 Pro, which is pedometer functionality.
With embedded watchfaces very often pedometer counter resets to 0, rarerly allowing to count more than 1000 steps. This is annoying
Additional applications for counting steps installed work properly and count.
Any ideas?
Have you tried this launcher? Works ok on the Lem4 Pro.

I still prefer the Google Launcher though.

Seems to be a round watch launcher. The LEMFO in this forum is the square one.
Does it need rooting?
Yes it works perfectly for the 640x320 screen of the LEM4 Pro without any adjustments. I'm testing that launcher now and am very impressed so far. It seems to be popular with fans of the watch.

Replacement Charger Cable
I have the LEMFO LEM4 Pro and my charger has been damaged and will not charge my watch. The wires have separated near the magnetic connector. Would anybody know where I could get a replacement charger for my LEM4 Pro?

Check AliExpress. Make sure you double check the style of charger. Some are curved like the Lem6 / Lem5

Magisk Patched.img isn't there.
I have just got rid of my s9 to get the 6t and now I cant seem to get the galaxy wearable app on my 6t to see my watch.. seeing as they are pretty much exact same chipsets.. is it some in the build.prop I can edit to get it to work?
Not sure about editing the build.prop but I have the Gear Fit 2 Pro and the Gear S3 Frontier both connected to my 6T. I found that sometimes the app is kind of finicky to get connected and I will have to turn Bluetooth off and on again, sometimes a couple of times to get connected the first time. Also keep the screen on your phone on to see if there is a popup to connect. Maybe even cycle the watch off and back on also along with the phone if all else fails. I was ready to give up at one point and it all the sudden connected. If none of that works I'm not sure what else to try but maybe someone else will have some ideas.

Along with the Galaxy Wearable app there is also a Gear S Plugin that needs to be installed. The first time I set up my Gear S3 Frontier the plugin was automatically installed but when I had to set my watch up a second time I had to manually install the plugin.

I have the gear S3 frontier and fit2 pro. I paired them with minimal issues. Did you reset your watch before trying to pair it?
I have an S3 Frontier, and every clean install ROM switch I have to reset the watch. I think they do it for security purposes? Unless someone knows something I don't, I've never found a way to reconnect the watch to a different device without resetting the watch. The backup of the watch puts everything right back once connected, but still kind of annoying (as it adds back in "removed" programs and such).
I have to use the MagiskHide Props Module to get all the correct things installed for my watch to work. However on a stock 6T it should just work. That module should only come into play on a rooted / unlocked device.
