I installed a new rom using flashfire to my Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-S902L) after hearing verizon software could be installed on the the straight talk variant but it didn't work. Now my phone is stuck in bootloop (softbrick). I tried using sammobile to download stock rom and then use odin to install it on my phone but I always get an error. My TWRP was unistalled when I installed the new rom so I can't use that backup either. I appreciate any help I can get thanks!
Reinstall twrp in Odin.(I find that the latest twrp is buggy, I use 3.0.2.1). If your backup is on your SD card, just reinstall it. Good luck!

Hi all, have been having similar problems. GT-i9507 is soft bricked, but cannot escape bootloop even after wiping data, cache, and deldalvik cache with Philz Touch 6. Bricked after trying to flash wicked rom, have tried imperial as well since, both are i9505 roms, but apparently other users had had luck with them on the i9507? In any case, I can't see why I wouldn't be able to wipe the thing and boot up with the stock kernel, so I am currently grabbing a i9507 kernel and will get back with results tomorrow (long DL).
I am grabbing this kernel: pr31.rapidgator.net//?r=download/index&session_id=2oZ1mbKDmSSIDxiRcLmdXx1IQGO8CdPI
Samsung also released the i9507 kernel open source somewhere here: opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=i9507
Might be worth looking into. Will also probably try to flash cyanogen from: download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=jfltexx
because there have been reports of that working, and there is an explicit i9507 release on their site.

In regards to previous post, just flashed cyanogen from the supplied link (it's an https, would have linked it properly, but I need 10 posts first), and currently booted first time. Looks promising, but still doesn't mean that I can have the same level of dank kernel as i9505 users.

Might be better off grabbing the stock i9507 here:

Hi all, this is my first post on XDA. I was wondering if anyone had the stock recovery/firmware of the galaxy a5 a500w model (it kinda just came out in canada). I need this asap to flash it back to the og firmware.
Kind regards, benz.
a500w stock recovery/firmware
I cant find any info or help on this subject anywhere on the net. . My a5 sm-a500w is stuck in odin mode. I would usually just use keis or odin. But, there is no firmware, custom roms, or even info on what other firmware might work to unbrick this stupid Canadian phone.
The phone is screwed with out some sort compatable rom..
PLEASE HELP!!!!! ITS NOT LIKE ITS A SUPER NEW PHONE ANYMORE.
THANK YOU. PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF U HAVE ANY IDEAS OR BREAKS

I have read about an alternative method.
1. Download the stock 4.4.4 Samsung firmware from sammobile.
2. Boot into recovery mode and wipe date, cache / factory reset.
3. Boot into download mode, and connect phone to pc.
4. Make sure auto reboot, f. Reset time and phone bootloader mode is ticked.
5. Press start, and pray the phone boots.
6. Repeat the above steps.
I can't gaurentee that this method works.
Hello again, i found sm-a300m on sammobile but i cant post links here. It seems thats my device.
In case of doing some damage can i go back to lollipop with some backups?
Thx for response!
EDIT: the same firmware (lollipop) is on tsar3000, can i trust this site?
Don't downgrade. Nearly everyone that has tried downgrading the a3 had hard bricked their device.
Thats really too bad... well, i hope a update for lollipop for fix this issues.
Thx a lot, and i decided not downgrade.
You can close now this thread.
my moto has unknown baseband version .i tried hard reset, tried different stock roms but the problem still exist.IMEI invalid and also network and wifi ndoesnt work can anyone help...
What device do you have and which territory are you based in? You may have corrupted your hw or modem partitions by flashing firmware, which may be a cause of the loss of IMEI and radios.
There's a way to copy uncorrupted partitions from a working device to yours, it however needs partitions from the same variant as yours and you'll need an unlocked bootloader (not sure if you need TWRP or it's possible with stock recovery, someone else familiar with pushing partitions onto Android via adb can perhaps answer this?)

the file isn't available anymore. Is there any other link to it?
Hi,
My gf's phone stopped loading yesterday (stuck at the SAMSUNG logo), so I've tried to factory-reset it via recovery menu. Unfortunately, this didn't help, so I've decided that I need to re-flash the system. After some search I found https://www.kingoapp.com/root-tutorials/how-to-flash-samsung-stock-rom-via-odin.htm and tried to follow it. After checking the sticker behind the battery, I've learned that the model is SM-G900F. Unfortunately I wasn't sure what ROM was installed on the phone before and couldn't find any Ukrainian ROM, which is where the phone was bought originally. In the end, I decided to try installing latest ROM for Germany O2, since this is the operator that my gf uses now.
Unfortunately, Odin refused installing that image with an error "FAIL! (Auth)". After some further searching, I've noticed that when the phone is in download mode, it shows model name SM-G900V. I have no idea why and the ROM that was there before was clearly non-Verizon. Still, having no other option, I've downloaded Verizon ROM and it installed successfully. Luckily the phone has booted, but as expected, it wouldn't connect to any other network than Verizon, which is kinda useless to me given that we live in Germany and use O2. Now I wonder if it's possible to somehow root the phone, install custom recovery and flash that German O2 ROM?
The device is running Android 6.0.1 and kernel 3.4.0. How do I root it? How do I install custom recovery? Which one would you recommend?
Thanks,
Sergiy
In order to root it and install custom recovery you need to follow this guide

I would recommend twrp and magisk
---------- Post added at 10:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:24 PM ----------
Also you need to get the correct twrp for your phone from
https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxys5qualcomm.html
---------- Post added at 10:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:28 PM ----------
After rooting and custom recovery installation you need to decide what ROM you want on this phone ,you can install any ROM that supports sm g900f or g900v or klte (that's your device nickname)
I am on aex and it works good for me so you can try it https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/unified-development/rom-aospextended-rom-v5-4-t3779910
---------- Post added at 10:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:37 PM ----------
Follow the installation instructions from the Aex link and you should be good to go
If you need google apps and play store install gapps zip the link for that is also in the aex post hope it all works out for you ,if you need any help just ask

Seems, you can read russian.
You may like to follow this my guide to flash SM-G900V with an international 6.0.1 ROM.
I think, you can even use VIA (O2) CSC.
P.S. Please, pay attention to:
1. The first boot after factory reset may take 12-15 min (but not more than 20), so be patient. This was the problem, I guess.
2. Read the QA section in my guide to find the answers to your questions about root and custom recovery. And feel free to ask questions (here or there).

Thanks a lot. Indeed, I have probably not waited long enough for the first boot. The instructions you linked, worked! My gf is happy to have her phone back.

You're welcome.
Радий був допомогти.
And note for the next time: it's a good idea to try clearing cache and safe boot before performing a factory reset
