Hi guys,
I have a problem after uninstalling Good Lock. My cell standby has plummeted. I notice a very odd behaviour now. Even when I'm on WiFi, this 3G symbol keeps popping up and disappearing after a split second... Yesterday as a test I left my phone unplugged at night and this morning the battery had decimated with Cell Standby at an all time high of 68%! WTF.
Obviously something is not right and I suspect it's got to do with removing Good Lock as the problems arose after removing it.
Any suggestions on what to do? Would a factory reset be helpful?
Before you delete everything, make a backup of everything, either through TWRP or Smart Switch. Be sure to chose External Storage as destination and save to MicroSD or use the included OTG adapter and save to USB Drive.
But before you do that, just reinstall the latest version of Good Lock (as of date of this post, latest version is 24.0.11) and then remove it again, using the in-app Uninstall option.
Recovery wipe cache and wipe cache partition!

anyone else with this problem? i decided to stop using wp7 after a couple of auto - hard reset after every 4-5 days of usage and countless hours of deploying side applications and dreadful unlocking chevrons and activation codes and etc... %@$%
SIGH.
anyone who can solve this problem is much appreciated.
i once had this issue, too: turned my hd2.7 on in the morning, had a look at the display and voila - all settings are gone to factory state (brown tiles, english lanquage, all my apps were gone, too....) first time i was shocked; but then i discovered that this behaviour was the result of the non-compatibility of my sd-card! i switched my device off, pulled out the sd-card, re-inserted it directly after pulling it out and as i startet my hd2.7 again, all settings, apps and data were back!!!!! seemes to me, that any sort of cache or ram partition on the card runs into full after a few days of continouus using the device, and then the card disappears from the raid-system, looking to the user like performing a hard-reset... it's just like you would have startet your divice without the card insertet then.
for me, the solution was to buy a stated-as-compatible sandisk 8gb class 2 card - now all my wp7 problems are gone away
thank you my mannn!
edit: it doesnt work, it keeps auto reboot before even entering the home (tiles). and sumtimes when it gets in, it is factory resetted.
From time to time my N910F falls into a state of being permanently awake.
The symptoms:
1. Battery drain
2. On the standard Android Battery Statistics page, Android OS and Android system are the major battery consumers (normally it's either the Display or Cell standby)
3. Standard Android Battery Statistics page shows that the phone is NOT always awake (the corresponding line is NOT all blue). So according to the standard Battery page the phone IS sleeping.
4. Programs like BetterBatteryStats and WakeLock Detector show that the phone is AWAKE 100% of the time. The sleeping time is ZERO.
The ONLY solution is to reboot, after which the phone is back to normal. It can stay that way for several hours or even several days, but sooner or later (usually within a couple of days) it falls into that battery-draining-always-awake state again.
Looks like I've tried almost everything: freezing different apps, switching off and on WiFi, Mobile Data, NFC, GPS etc., putting the phone into Airplane Mode, charging the phone, uninstalling some apps... Nothing worked - the phone stays awake until you reboot it. I don't know where else to look! Desperate! Need help badly! Please, help!
Did you try a factory reset?

You could say I did.
The thing is I had the exact same problem on the previous ROM (Germany 4.4.4 KitKat). To get rid of the problem I decided to take some drastic steps and flashed a new ROM (United Kingdom 4.4.4 KitKat). Before I did that, I formatted System, Data and Internal Storage. So it was a 100% brand new and clean ROM. And then, after I installed all my usual apps, the problem came back... :crying:
I'm enclosing Betterbatterystats logs (see the attachment) during this non-sleeping mode. Hope it'll help somebody to help me...
Looks like the problem is not fixable
First of all, I figured out what causes the phone to go into this non-sleeping mode. It's uploading large size photos (from camera) to one of the online services via cellular network (3G). Uploads via WiFi don't seem to be affected. Uploading small size photos also doesn't seem to cause any problem.
Some of the apps causing the problem:
1. Endomondo (if you attach a photo from camera to your workout and then upload it, you'll enavitably get that no-deep-sleep mode)
2. Kate Mobile (for VK) - if you choose not to reduce the size of photos before uploading them, you'll get the problem 100%. If the size is reduced before uploading, the problem doesn't show up.
3. Viber (sending one photo doesn't usually cause the problem, but sending several at once will defifnitely put the phone into no-deep-sleep state)
I'm sure there are many other apps that will cause the problem if used to upload files via 3G - those above are just the ones I'm using
And now comes the saddest part
I did the following:
1. Cleared everything (including formatting system, data, internal and external SD-cards
2. Flashed a new stock ROM (different from the one I had before)
3. Rooted the phone
4. Installed BetterBatteryStats (to be able to spot the problem) and Kate Mobile for VK (to be able to cause the problem)
5. Uploaded one full size photo from camera via 3G network
6. ... and I got that f***ing no-deep-sleep mode
So the problem exists even on a freshly flashed, brand new ROM
There arу no wakelocks but the CPU never goes into Deep Sleep staying on the lowest frequency of 300Mhz
I'm totally disappointed
Other than that the phone is absolutely perfect... But this problem
Do you think there's still something I can do? Like disabling Fast Dormancy or something?
have you sorted this ?
the problem with mine is similar, terrible battery life and a real problem is getting the phone to wake up so that I can make a call or send a text.
this happens more when I am on the phone and really do struggle with hanging up due to not being able to access any of the soft buttons
will rooting or rom flashing fix?
Scott
upgraded and now have smart manager everything on it works fine apart from the storage part it shows me my user data but when at the top it continues to show scanning with spinning circle and never moves from that even running overnight, so doesnt show unnecessary data, my girfriends and mates both spin for a few seconds then show data, any takers on whats wrong tried without sd card same issues have even factory reset and fist thing i done when booted was run the smart manager and same issue ?
Same here
bump now seeing other people post on this any ideas whats causing it.
hi guys. my girlfriend has this A5 2016, and it is a complete piece of ****. it restarts on it's on, be it updating, under heavy usage or just in standby mode. it restarts several times in a row, sometimes going into that "optimizing applications" green screen before completing boot. sometimes it stays in this green screen for hours before i give up and reset it. sometimes it works, sometimes it goes back to the green screen. my girlfriend lost appointments a couple of times before learning that she can't rely on this POS phone.
as you can see, there isn't a clear pattern. is there a log in the system where I could check for the cause of all these crashes?
If your girlfriend didn't make any modification to it, prehaps her phone is fake
Maybe something was installed that doesn't work and makes the phone crash in the background or maybe the phone was shutdown while doing an update from the firmware. (it's a maybe, i am just guessing)
If you have a micro sd card (memorycard) in the phone you can remove it and see if the problem is still there. If problem is solved you need to format that card or maybe even replace it with a new microsd card
Also you can reset it to factory settings to remove everything you changed in the phone (after factory reset don't restore your apps in google play without very good looking if the apps are working ok)
If that doesn't solve the problem you can install TWRP recovery and do a full wipe & after that flash the stock firmware with Odin. If that still doesn't solve the problem you need to bring it back to the store where you bought it
I'm trying to diagnose a frustrating problem with my girlfriend's Samsung T580 tablet that started occurring a few days ago - basically random apps crash on reboot. Unfortunately these are key apps like Google, Google Play Services and a variety of other key services. The Google service for example will just crash in a loop.
She does not remember installing any non-automatic OS update although I believe one has been recently.
Tablet: Galaxy Tab A SM-T580
Build: M1AJQ T580XXS5CTD1
Android Patch Level: 1st April 2020
I've gone through a number of steps to try and resolve it, increasing in severity
1. Cleared the user cache
2. Did a factory reset - logging into the same Google account
3. Did a factory reset - and did not sign into any accounts
4. Used Odin to reinstall the latest firmware5
5. Tried to use Odin to reinstall an older firmware - but was prevented as Odin cannot downgrade the bootloader
I'm out of ideas and I'm starting to think it might be a hardware fault or some serious corruption behind the scenes.
I've had a look at an ADB log but I cannot be anything obvious - would anyone with more experience in reading these things be able to see if they can tell anything? I've attached.
Any other suggestions for how I can bring this back to life?
Thanks in advance
Today I rooted this, installed TWRP and installed LineageOS - and the crashing apps is still happening (even on the setup screen just after a factory reset)
My only conclusion is that somehow the storage or RAM is damaged which is causing the random crashes - so the tablet is beyond saving

I think you are probably right but I do have a couple of suggestions. First, does it have an external SD card? If so, have you tried removing it? Second, does it still crash with the power cable plugged in? The T580 is known for having problems with the ribbon cable connector on the battery. If it is intermittent, it could cause crashes. In fact, it could still do it with the charger plugged in by causing spikes, but if it doesn't crash when plugged in, you know it's a battery problem.

Many thanks for the suggestion - alas I tried it and it's still doing the same thing. Looks like a hardware fault of some sort
