Since they both are an Exynos variant, is it possible to flash 935F firmware to Korean variants, if possible? (Through Odin - SamFirm)

I see. I thought it would be possible also on Exynos variant, since carrier-branded SD820 S7/S7E can be converted into 930/935U through the same way.
Converting G935S to G935F
Apologize for asking again, I have been searching for a definite answer regarding converting from 935S to 935F (Same hardware). found some who claim it is possible (no explanation how) and some who say it's impossible.
Can anyone recommend what can be done? i.e a customized ROM?
I got the 935S as a leftover from a travel to Seoul and would like to use it elsewhere.. however it is always on roaming, cannot have conf calls and collects news in Korean, etc..
Please help TIA:angel:

I need to use VoLTE servie on my s7 edge G35U , but its not the option I am getting easily. I need to use the Jio4G service, but I dont have that option on my G935U (single sim) Global variant. I could have flashed the Indian INS firmware, but the issue is, indian version is Exyons veriant and the U one is running with the snapdragon, also the indian one is a G935FD (dusl sim). So, I cant flah the Indian firmware. So, what are all the avilable options for me to get the VoLTE working on my G935U ?
I have tried the T-Mobile (G935T), Version (G935V) frimware which support VoLTE for US carriers, but it wont work for Jio4G network.
So, the doubt is can I flash the U frimware with the Indian Firmwares CSC and check for the VoLTE support? will the exynos vartiants CSC (G935FD) works on snapdragon (G935U) ones?
Or is there any particular solution for getting VoLTE? Eagerly waiting for a resolution, please help me!.

Hey, I am also struck with the same.. I am using Jio4G service. Why could not you use that? I can help. Coming to the CSC, someone has to modify the 935U firmware CSC with INS/INU, until then we can not use it. I have tried to flash 935FD CSC along with other AP,PD etc of 935U through ODIN but it failed. ( T-Mobile and verizon firmware does not work as they had their respective CSC codes and also 935U has all US CSC codes)

Yes, I am currently using the Jio4GVoice app, but still it's not stable to work flawlessly... also the device is supported but.. without proper software it's not working. So, I hope someone has a solution or any developer could help us with this. What to do?... How to modify the CSC to work with this U device.

Okay. While we awaiting someone's attention - let me run this thought by you.
Firstly, Im new to the android world, firmware, rooting, etc... However with the limited googling done, I wanted to check if this will work.
What if we root our phone and disable/uninstall the RCS application (in my case it would be TMobile) and then that will allow Jio to act as RCS App??

If you are having issues in using the Jio4GVoice Applicatiom. Just install the G935U Firmware so that both data and calls work. Though VoLTE is not there, the Jio4GVoice Application will work and also all bands are unlocked in G935U , you can also select specific bands of Jio. Only thing is VoLTE is missing in G935U , maybe someone can get that feature... hoping for best
I'm pretty sure you need to change CSC to your region. Give that a shot and post back your results. I know the SM-G935U can't flash kernels because it is boot-loader locked, but I'm sure you can flash system and csc via flashfire and odin. So tinker with it see what you come up with.

If you want 935T back again, flash the latest version of the 935T firmware. That's it, but even having the VoLTE on T doesn't help with Jio.
No solutions yet.. I am using jiovoice app for the time being..
You need hyour own carrier CSC file for VoLTE etc. But using your own CSC with the BTU nougat ROM breaks things, and cannot be used. You need to wait for your carrier to update.

It's not possible bro. U can only do this if u have exynos version bought in any country. U,T,A,P,V models have Snapdragon version.
When it is come to Samsung, They maintain regional settings in CSC file which has all these regional settings like volte, APN etc . These CSC file made for exynos won't work on Snapdragon.
I have tried many combinations earlier, flashing snapdragon firmware and Exynos CSC but doesn't workout. I have 935U earlier and tried all these and sold my phone.
We also can't Unlock bootloader for Snapdragon Version and Can't even achieved proper root. SO Volte is not possible.

Hello, I would like to know if I can flash my verizon galaxy s8 with tmobile software, or any other model, since I can see that this year all the carriers are using the same model G950U. That is, a single model with different carriers, very similar to how the international version G950F works which is the same model for all carriers in Europe and allows you to change the software through ODIN. I hope someone can help me. Thank you very much.

From what I've gathered is that there's a user data partition that dictates the carrier and Odin currently doesn't allow flashing of this.
Saw this as a comment somewhere here and best I've seen so far.
Personally I think it is just a matter of time before we figure this phone out and will be able to do whatever we want. They already have root for Exynos model and I think now the search is on for modified Odin, as Tehpirate said. I believe they had modified Odin for S7, to do similar stuff, so it's not like starting from scratch.
I hope is the same like the s7 U firmware... That's nice cause I can flash U firmware and get rid of the carrier bloatware.
I was just curious if it was at all possible to flash the firmware from the T377P model to the AT&T model (T377A) because it seems like most of the development is for the T377P. Has anyone achieved this yet or attempted flashing any other model's firmware to the T377A?
Flashing SM-T377P firmware on a SM-T377A wouldnt work, because the T377P uses a Snapdragon 410, not an Exynos 3475 like the T377A uses. Flashing SM-T377T (T-Mobile) firmware might work, since it uses the same Exynos CPU as the T377A

I'm just curious what the best alternative firmware would be to flash (if possible at all) on this tablet because there's absolutely zero development on the AT&T variant (T377A) of the Tab E. Preferably a firmware that's been successfully rooted, etc.

Unfortunately nothing can be developed for the T377A because the bootloader on that variant is locked, so that means we can't do anything to the device, even with Odin. If there was a way to convert a T377A to a T377T, or if there is engineering firmware for the T377A, then maybe development is possible.
On another note, I found somebody's backup of the Nougat firmware for the T377A: https://mega.nz/#!eHJSUCoZ!54BXNlvrL6RJfEHzS4qNOj3eqwCpxSrzrI2l_IqHe84
Contains the AP, BL, CP and CSC files.

Can you please describe what you did to unlock it? I've tried 1000 things and nothing seems to work
You have to request the unlock code from AT&T, there's a slight difference between doing it for phones from your own plan or someone else's phone (you received as a gift or purchased second hand). They walk you through the process for each type of equipment so it's relatively smooth.. I just want to remove the bloatware and have a security update more recent than tree years old. This is my main gripe with AT&T, stuck with questionable bloatware and a vulnerable version of Android (and it's locked down so tight no one can fix it on their own).
So you were able to unlock the bootloader by following an AT&T tech over the phone?

Other firmwares will work you might just be missing features like WiFi calling. I don't know the exact dialer code but they is a preconfig dialer code to select csc so once you got the latest you could try that. All the firnwares are identical for each us model you wont brick from flashing another carriers
So thats yes right? I can use other carrier rom without any problem?

Yes, the thing is I don't have my carrier CSC available for download since I'm using it in Europe. Wondering if I need to revert flash how to source TGY (Hong Kong) factory rom? Seems all available for download are US-based CSCs only.
My main concern is OTA is currently failing completely, I am hoping to restore by moving away from the TGY code, does that need carrier switching process or just flash 950U1 on top including user data ?

Im pretty sure u1 model pretty much is csc-less i would try to flash the u1 firmware directly and flash the home csc in u1 firmware which should leave it open. BL" "AP" "CP" "CSC" is all you should flash. User data would add a carrier. If you dont it will leave it open.....
If updates are all your lookong for. Just use odin to manually update

Or. To flash unlocked firmware you must first flash the combination file then unlocked firmware.
Hey guys,
I am currently on Samsung S10+ in Canada, which has a single SIM and unlocked. As I need a dual SIM now, I am planning to sell it off and get an international model with dual sim.
My question is: Do I need to change the new phone's firmware to Canada to get OTA official updates? Can it be changed?
Thanks!
The answer is no. You cannot flash the Canadian firmware on the international version. For starters, the international version is Exynos chip. Also, Samsung Pay will not work in Canada with the international version.

Thanks so much for the reply! So what about updates? Will I still be able to get them without changing the Firmware (as you mentioned I can't anyways)? Yes, heard about Samsung Pay, but I don't use it much so that should be ok. But I wish we had an option for Dual SIMS here in Canada
Thanks again!
You will not be able to get Canadian OTA updates. You will have to download international firmware releases compatible with your device and flash them.

You will get updates normally but not same as the Canidian model. so if local s10 get update dosent me you will and same way other way. When ur model code has an update you will receive it ... so dont worry u can buy and you will get OTA normally ... or you can flash other FW on it but i dont know about snap and exn ..
