I have been trying to go back to Marshmallow from the N beta 3 preview for a few days now, but it doesn't seem to be working any way I try. I originally tried to use the OTA method by unenrolling my device because that is the way I got the preview to begin with. Every time I tried that, though, it would end in an error after trying to install the update. So i tried flashing the Marshmallow images manually using fastboot. I flashed everything, including the bootloader, radio, recovery, boot, system, vendor, cache, and userdata, but when I tried rebooting, it would be stuck on the Google logo. Can someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong or can maybe help somehow? Thanks in advanced!

Not trying to say you're lying but are you sure you flashed everything? Are you using the flash all script or are you doing each image manually?
Mainly you need to flash boot, system, vendor, and userdata. Userdata just wipes that partition.
The N bootloader and radio should be compatible with the latest marshmallow release.
My best guess is if you used the flash all it didn't work, because it never works.
If not that then maybe you got a corrupted file? Try redownloading it and try again.

Nah I don't use the flash all script. I flashed everything manually and I didn't forget anything. I actually tried this twice and used a new file the second time so it's really weird. I have no idea what's wrong
I am having the SAME EXACT issue. Found this on a search. Any solutions?

Try this command first: "fastboot format userdata" - then flash all images, exept "userdata.img".
ADB Sidleoading this file worked for me https://android.googleapis.com/pack.../53bd5f816ce0706903d1a69d50bca6cd4f52b800.zip

So you wiped everything and used that ? Can we just flash that or does it have to be side loaded I'm.on N it works but I don't wanna go back to MM cuz it's causing issues to others from what I heard I can keep the bootloader and radio but everything else you gotta flash would you lose root or have to re unlock the bootloader?

Okay so I'm not the only one who's having this problem. Did the sideloading method format the sd card?

Download the file and rename it whatever you want. I changed it to update.zip.
Go to stock recovery and then select update from adb.
Then type ---> adb sideload "name of zip".
You will then be downgraded to stock MM with everything working.
Well at least that's what worked for me. Because I was on Android N Preview 3. It was too buggy so I tried to manually flash 6.0.1. but kept getting stuck on the white Google logo. The above method worked for me.
Are you rooted still? Someone told me if I'm going to pure rom all I need to do is wipe like normal like when you u flash a ROM and with gaps and I'll be fine with the vender image . Or do I have to do it your way . Did you go back to stock mm or a rom ?

Haven't received any information at all. I did attempt to do it from this Post but failed for some reason and my tablet wouldn't boot, just stuck on logo. Not thought of xposed module at all because I would think it would act as a third party app. Those do not get along well with the TWRP 3.0.2-1 recovery by @ashyx. If you use 3rd party app to reboot to recovery with that version, you'll be stuck in recovery and not be able to boot to system until you reinstall the recovery with same instructions as first time you install it.

I'm using TWRP 2.8.7.0 by @ashyx and I use the reboot function in Gravitybox and it is working just fine for me with no bootloops. I will look into how to add the reboot function into the rom and see if I come up with anything and if I do, I will be sure to let you know.
I tried @ashyx 2.8.7 twrp but touches were way out of line so had to go back to 3.0.2 recovery. I think it has to do with the MM 6.0.1 firmware.

I use Simple Reboot for now. Still holding out hope someone can make a restart menu. :cyclops:
A+ for simple reboot, been using it on a few different androids and no problems.
Root just disappeared.
This is not a huge problem but when I go to TWRP to reinstall SuperSU, I can't get to the files so I can't install SuperSU.
I have now a MegaPixel ROM with EX kernel and I want to go back to stock. With no root, kernel and recovery... Just don't know how to.

I tried to reinstall SuperSU but now its stuck on boot animation. How can I fix this?
I don't think you can do a factory reset if you are on a custom Rom. Power down your phone by holding down the power button until the phone shuts down. Go into bootloader mode by pressing power and volume down buttons at the same time. Flash complete factory image from Google site using flash-all.bat command. If you don't know how to do that follow the XDA/Heisenberg guide only to the point where it shows you how to flash. Do not flash all the pieces individually like in the guide. Just use flash-all.bat command like Google suggests.

Use the link I posted above. Read it and follow the return to stock section. Like I mentioned earlier, that's a step by step guide to all things 6P. How to root, how to return to stock and everything in between. It has (or at least links you to) all the tools you need. It's a lot more thorough than I am, quite frankly. Just do your best to follow the return to stock section of the guide and if you run into any issues quote me again and let me know where you're stuck and I'll see if I can help. But you're asking for a step by step on how to recover and I've already provided you with a link with those exact steps. Good luck. Specifically steps 10 or 11 depending on if you want to keep your data intact.

What were the exact steps you took? Also, how long has it been boot looping? First boot on a factory image flash can take a while. I've waited like 10 full minutes before boot.

I did all the steps in part 10 with angler 7.1.2
It was bootlooping for 5 minute or so. I turned the phone off (While it was bootlooping) and now when I try to boot I get a "No Command" with a opened Android screen. What should I do now?
Maybe I can still flash TWRP and do stuff there?

The no command screen with an Android on its back is stock recovery. When you see that, hold volume up and while holding volume up, press the power button. That'll get you inside stock recovery. From there you can factory reset. This will likely wipe your internal storage. I'm not exactly sure on that, but assume it does. If that's not an issue, do it and try booting again, but wait longer this time. Leave in on the charger and wait 10 minutes or so. If it still won't boot, try again with 7.1.1 factory images. Also if you're using the flash all .bat file try manually flashing each partition using fastboot.
Edit: If you didn't already, don't lock the bootloader. You won't be able to use fastboot or flash TWRP (if that's what you want to do) with it locked.

Sounds like it. That's not good, it sounds like a real issue here. How did this end up happening in the first place? You factory reset from TWRP and all this happened? That should have not made you boot loop. You should have been fine and booted and had to sign in again, etc.
Did you lock the bootloader?

Anyone having this working? It appears something doesn't work right as the screen is a big single screen (not the dual lens type thing of VR apps.) Some have suggested build.prop changes but they were met with mixed success it seems.

I got this and decided to go back to stock because I been eagerly waiting for Plex VR. Going back to stock was a very long 2 day process I never want to go through again but was well worth it. Plus stock isn't really all that bad.
Well, there is no way I'll go back to stock. Not only an arduous project going back but I do enjoy LOS far, far more than stock.

Arduous? Getting a TWRP flashable zip and flashing it through TWRP is not a 2 day process. There are TWRP flashable zips for the G (raystef66's B09) and for the U (DrakenFX's stuff).

MiFlash (and therefore axon7toolkit) is the last place you should go to. Imagine that the connection breaks somehow. Power surge, the USB cable getting disconnected, anything...
Going back to stock is as easy as flashing it via TWRP or flashing the stock recovery img and installing an official zip.
I am stuck on the 'Phone is starting...' screen. This is how I landed here
1. Added Finger Print Customizations when the phone was working and they did work as expected.
2. Noticed update from 9.0.10 to 9.0.10
3. Flashed stock 9.0.10 image over Bluespark and Magisk rooted image
4. Flashing stock 9.0.10 caused getting stuck in the 'Phone is starting...' screen
5. I can hear my phone ringing on this screen, but I cannot answer any calls since the phone is stuck forever on this screen
6. I tried flashing bluespark and magisk in the hopes of being able to boot, but that just cases my old boot screen to show up and then going back to restarting in a loop again
I believe OPSystemUI.apk (file that I replaced under /system/priv-app for getting custom finger print animation) is causing the issue. I do not know how to restore the stock version of this file without wiping all my data clean. I am not sure if this is the file causing the issue. Is there any way to get the phone started by flashing some files via adb?
Appreciate the inputs in advance.

I unzipped them found a .bin file. Is there any guide on extracting the binary files and flashing the entire rom via ADB?

Sorry for being so naive but I couldn't find any ROM that would have fastboot support. There is very less stuff for 6T to comb from.

Silly me, I was looking in the ROM section. I will use this and update the thread again
Hey! It worked. The phone is up and running now. Only thing is I lost all the data on the phone
Solution
Next time you face this issue in any ROM, you can do the following to come out of it. However, you would need to have a customised notification panel, which will allow you to go to settings and security option. Also, ensure you do not have a default launcher, if you have more than 1 launcher in your phone that you use.
Just long press any icon which leads to settings, or click on the settings icon from the notification bar.
It will open a blank settings page. Do a scroll up and down, and it will refresh.
Then go to security and privacy and delete the fingerprints.
You may also need to delete the security pin or swipe or the lock screen settings.
NOTE: Do not delete the locksettings.db from Recovery mode. It will break everything and the above steps might not help.
BTW, I am facing this issue for the last 3 days. Have been doing clean flash everytime. I was searching this issue on internet, but yours came up just now, and I read, FingerPrint, and it stuck me. Now it worked. Rebooting now. But posting the comment here in case I face any issues. Want to help you, as I know what the feeling is like. Frustrated and tired, wanting to kill someone.
Edit: Rebooted without any lock pin or FP. Shows phoe is starting, and starts in 2 seconds and allows access.
Will set a pin and check now.
Then will set one FP and check.
Edit2: Set pin lock and rebooted. Works okay..
