Yes it a frustrating, I have not been able to get it to work either...also S-health does not work. Two apps that I really liked. Hopefully both will get fixed soon. I did get to use Android Pay today with Nougat as I de-rooted and went stock after coming from Pure Nexus. Miss all the tweaks however...
Light flow works fine for me. I use light flow legacy if that makes a difference
My Light Flow works fine on 7.0, I didn't change anything when I upgraded.

That is what I was using on Pure Nexus before I flashed back to stock and took the OTA Update. Now I can't get it to work.

What are you using for settings, and do you have the full version installed as well?

Light manager works for me. You also have to enable "pulse notification light" in settings>notification then hit the cog in the top right hand corner.

Pretty much defaults I think, but it's so long since I originally set it up. Direct Mode is off. Anything in particular you want me to check?

Light Flow or Light Flow legacy?
I've been using LED Blinker (Pro) ... didn't see it mentioned, and it's N compatible.

Mine is working but for some reason I can't use the default "messages" notification. I have to use the specific one for handcent. It was also causing some issues with my gallery and stock browser.

I didn't realize people are still using this after SIII since we DO have an LED notification light and apps like Light Flow and Light Manager to control them now.... any reason I'm not understanding? Feeling nostalgic or are more of a visual learner preferring to see the icon instead of a flashing light?

For me I like the larger, brighter, moving icon that catches my attention faster than a single LED. To each their own though.

Of course, just wondering! Thanks for your insight :good:
Can you look at the led light and tell whether an incoming message is Gmail or a text? NoLed has icon notification that lets you know what is coming vs just a blinking light.

I can tell the difference. I use Handcent SMS and it allows for custom LED notifcations, also a few roms had custom led color features.

If you had searched for Light Flow or Light Manager, you'd know that those apps are designed specifically to change the notification lights to tell you what app is has a notification.... So.... Yeah, there's that.... Hmmm

Go to Settings\Accessability and disable talk back or something similar. This features are for disabled people, dunno how you enabled it by mistake.

that's the proximity sensor, which you can't see with your naked eye but you can film it.
You have to enable it under display settings, but it does exist! Sorry if this is common knowledge.
Was enabled by default on mine
I thought a feature of 4.3 was a notification on the screen that would pulse? I would honestly rather have that feature.

That appears to be a Motorola-specific feature, not baked into 4.3. Granted I would not be surprised to see that feature become standard in a future version, but it isn't right now. From a user front-end perspective 4.3 changes almost nothing.

Is it white because it's only white, or is it white because LightFlow hasn't been configured for the RGB LED yet? I think (and hope) it's the latter.
not sure.. hoping for the same!

How can I test this?
Mine was 'enabled' via display settings, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've received email notifications, but I don't see any indicator lights. Am I missing something?

From playing around with it, it seems it only pulses when the screen is off. If you get an email notification and your screen turns on, it won't show. Try waiting until the screen dims after. It should be near the base where the charging port is. I almost missed it since it's so low!

Try this app to see if your light works or not. Mine works, but only white

Thanks. I was able to force it on with the app, so I finally see where it is located and can verify it works.
I have to say, I'm not to impressed with it. It's so dim that I don't think I would notice it unless looking for it. The notification light on my phone is about 100x brighter.
Mine seems to be broken. I tried this app and turned off the screen and I still see nothing.
It also has speakers. Test them in poweramp music player with high volume.
I didn't have to enable it either.
Anyone figured out how to get the rear power button LED working with lightflow or similar? Lightflow controls the front LED nicely, and I've played with controlling the other LED's with it, but none of them work, and I'm not sure which is supposed to be the rear LED. It would be really cool to get it to flash for texts and such.
Are you referring to this or something more detailed?

I have that checked, but it doesn't do anything, at least for me. Front LED works great, no luck on the rear one. Does yours work? I'm on CM11
That's for "button back light" meaning the light behind the front buttons not "back button light". Big difference there.
Sent from my LG-G2 using Tapatalk
Thanks for clarifying. I actually wondered about that. But I couldn't figure out what difference it would make my checking it. I never have my phone facing down to really care what the light on the back button is doing anyway. Lol

Crap, I knew there was a reason I didn't originally have that checked. I'm dumb, lol.
Anyway, as far as the "non controled" LED's listed at the bottom, anyone have any luck getting them to work
I like having my phone upsidedown sometimes.

I had that working on my HTC DNA..yes it has also a back LED! But now on the G2 it seems that lightflow has no control on it
If anyone has a solution please share!

I'm on CM 11 and it seems like the light turns on when i get a call and SOMETIMEs when I get a text but thats it.
i would like the rear light button on the back to act exactly as if i was in stock.
Well I tried it out and bought the pro version of light flow and to say I'm dissapointed. The control of the back light does work but it doesn't pulse or pulse slowly on and off. the power button light just stays lit.

You have to go to settings go all the way down the page and it should be listed in additional LEDs as button blacklight. I enabled 1 and 2 because I think I enabled just one and half of the button lit up when I enabled both the button was fully lit
