Dear ladies and gentlemen.
I went through the forum and did not find how to unlock the bootloader in my Samsung Core Prime model SM-G360F. Could somebody of you please upload an application suitable for it?
I want to root it and install another ROM. I have installed KingRoot and successfully rooted my phone.
Is it necessary to unlock the bootloader before rooting the phone? Do I need to unlock it and when (before or after rooting)?
Thank you for your kind responses.
Karel
Unlike Sony, Samsung devices don't have bootloader. Just flash recovery through Odin and root with SuperSU zip.

On Samsung devices, it's useless to unlock bootloader, because there's no bootloader. You can flash TWRP on it just with ODIN (it's like fastboot, but isn't )

Hii
I just got my Z2 rooted with this method
I just followed the steps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/general/guide-how-to-root-xperia-z2-android-5-1-t3253878
Just one question
My bootloader sayz unlock not allowed...
Can I now flash TWRP or not?
Or is it just that I can not flash kernels??
I dont understand what is diffrent with bootloader locked and unlocked
Mine as I have read is locked forever so I dont want to brick my device or something...
Some advice about such bootloaders and what I can NOT DO would help me to understand
Thanks in advance
EDIT 01:
I just have followed the link in that post where I have rooted the phone
And just got TWRP installed as my recovery
So just to let you guys know evan dual recovery works fine with L5.1.1.
Just to say I have LockedBootloader
So guys please advice me for further
What restrictions do I have with the LB in diffrence to Unlocked BL
Can I do exact the same flashing of things like they on unlocked BL or not?
What should I be carefull about
Please guy give some info
1- With locked bootloader
you can only flash sony stock based roms (you can flash miui rom as there is a version with sony stock base).
you cannot flash cyanogenmod or custom kernels and any other rom.not based on stock sony.
2- with Unlocked bootloader
You can flash any custom rom or kernel for xperia z2 including cyanogenmod.
But you will LOOSE your DRM keys if you unlock your bootloader which will degrade the camera quality and xreality engine...

You cant accidentally unlock your BL and if it says it cant be unlocked Im afraid it is locked forever. There is no any way to unlock it AFAIK. If you have root, which it looks like you do, you can install TWRP by downloading an app TWRP manager from the plat store, give it root permission and in Install section find your variant of Z2 and let it doo its thing. It will automatically flash recovery.img and reboot and thats it.
Now you can flash all [UB] as unlocked bootloader marked roms, but no custom kernels and AOSP ROMs.
In my experience, if you try to flash something for LB it will just produce an error and you can reboot your device normally without any changes.
Thanks guys !!!
No its all clear to me

Hi everyone, I have question that I hope you can answer.
Today I flashed a Custom Recovery and Rooted my Note 3 SM N900. Everything is working fine, I rooted my phone in order to delete apps like trip advisor, s health among other apps. But I've seen that there are 6.0 ROMs for my phone. I've seen many tutorials and I would like to flash a custom ROM. (I'm thinking on flashing Resurrection Remix 5.1.1 for my SM N900). I already made my efs folder backup.
So, my question is this. When I decide to go back to a stock ROM (Lollipop Samsung Touchwiz the one I currently have) do I need to do something extra? Like, I would be able to flash a sotck samsung ROM through TWPR recovery for example? or what I need to do is just flash through odin?
Could you please tell me what I need to know on this cases?
Thank you very much! :good:
just flash with odin and you r good to go

And What about the bootloader? Do I Need to unlock it if I want to install any custom ROM? I installed TWRP recovery on my phone, then I Rooted the phone. The steps that I've seen on the Internet to flash a Custom ROM doesn't have a step that unlocks bootloader or so.
Or the bootloader is unlocked since I rooted the phone? I'm confused. I really appreciated if you or someone could explain this doubt.
Thanks in advance. :good:
N900 is already factory bootloader unlocked
Sent from my SM-N920C
Using a bootloader unlock app could brick the phone. The only note 3 I know of with a locked bootloader is the AT&T Sm-900a.
Dear All,
If I want to flash any custom ROM do I need to unlock the Bootloader, or flashing TWRP Recovery through Odin will be enough to flash any custom ROM. The Model of the device is GT-I9505.
Thanks.

Only Verizon and AT&T models have locked bootloaders.
If your device is none of the above you should be fine with just flashing recovery through Odin.
Thanks dear.
Can this even be done? I'm trying to install the xposed framework for my Samsung Galaxy plus, but I can't seem to find a single guide on how to unlock the bootloader in order to install custom recovery through TWRP. Any help would be appreciated.

The bootloader is already unlocked, simply flash twrp via odin.

Hello! I happened to something similar, I followed the steps to rootear the one that appears in this same forum, and then install the stock version, everything works ok.
I also unlocked the boot loader with official tools.
Waiting for custom recovery.
