Hello
I am from India and I've been trying to purchase a Galaxy S5 from ebay. There is one available with a trusted seller with a good price but the model is S5 Duos and model number is G900FD. I know Indian versions are supposed to be G900I. So my question is this: Will the same custom ROMs for Galaxy S5 work with Galaxy S5 duos? or is there a slight change in the source files that makes it incompatible with s5 roms and leave me at the mercy of Touchwiz forever?

DID u buy the phone? id yes how is your experience with it , please share.
No they aren't compatible. You could flash the custom roms but you won't have network signal after. Though there are a number of custom roms for the dual aim variant if you want.

Hello, If you dislike touchwiz you can still install a alternative launcher. I did not try on the GS5 but I had a GS3 before and I succefully replace touchwiz by Apex launcher. Once the alternate launcher is started you can still kill samsung one.
Has anyone bought this, I wanted to know the performance and battery backup

I ended buying G900F the European version, even though I'm in India. The phone performance is fine, benchmarks as per reviews. And it came with Lollipop which added some features that they havent advertised before such as 4K video recording. Getting regular OTA once per 1-2 months on average. Can't say anything about the dual sim version because I didnt buy it...

Was hard to obtain actually. Got it from ebay finally but its a version without warranty becuase technically its smuggled. As for battery backup, it loses 10-20% over a day without using 3g/wifi, 40-60% over a day while using either of them. The screen is absolutely brilliant.
I am also thinking of getting it from eBay which seller did u buy it from and how's the screen on time you get with it
I am returning my G900H to flipkart and would get refund, I am thinking to either get this or Xiaomi MI4

I'm under the impression that Straight Talk branded phones usually don't work well with other companies' SIM cards... on the flip side, they advertise themselves as being able to bring your own phone to straight talk by having them provide many different types of SIM cards for your unlocked phone. If you find a solution to this, can you post a reply, as I am curious about this as well.
has anyone here able to enable band 12 on Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5.
I am looking to buy a Samsung S4 active and use it on Tmobile.
thanks
anyone
? .
This is ur best bet. I have never done it, but people say it works and is possible for S5. may or may not be possible for ur variant. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059
I have the opportunity to get a Samsung Galaxy S8 active from Sprint unlocked will this work on the Verizon network? If you could tell me if everything would work or if it would NOT, or what I would need to do to make it WORK that would be great!
I ordered an S10+ unlocked from Samsung. I have the phone activated on my AT&T account. I'm trying to activate NumberSync on my AT&T account and running into an issue where it says my phone is not compatible. Also, the device showing on my account is just a phone, not a galaxy s10+. Could that be an issue? Do I need to flash an AT&T firmware to make this work? Thanks.

I've done some internet searching and it appears that since I have an unlocked S10+ from Samsung it isn't compatible with AT&T features.

Is this (no numbersync unless you have a phone from AT&T) the final answer on this topic? I have an Exynos Galaxy S8 I've happily used on AT&T (only) for 3 years, and have not been able to set up numbersync with my Galaxy Watch.
PS FWIW, I spent about 1.5 hrs with a confused "tier two" AT&T tech rep, and she mentioned that numbersync is powered by conditional call forwarding codes. (like ##52# etc). I'm just barely familiar with these from having been using Google Voice with my ATT line for a long time. If that's the case, then, at least for inbound calls, you might be able to accomplish numbersync on your own.
Please let me know if anyone else (or NVE) confirmed conclusively that we are out of luck with numbersync if we have an unlocked phone (e.g. my Exynos S8 G950-F).
Thx
