Hi y'all! I just installed the latest cm13 build posted by @mparus and everything is going well except for the headset jack. It just won't recognise my headphones. When I plug them, the music still plays on the phone speaker. I don't know if this is a known issue; I've been searching through the OP but haven't found anything related. Thanks in advance!

I can't offer much help... have you tried simply using a different set of headphones? Also, make sure, if you have stereo headphones, the jack is actually plugged all the way in.
I had this problem too. Just plug in headphones AFTER turning on music (sorry for my english)

yeah this is the only thing i have found that works. It worked fine when i had stock rom so i think its something with the rom or kernel i flashed i've only had it about 2 weeks.
Thanx for the Replies Tho
im on the stock rom, and have noticed this happens to me as well - just disconnecting and reconnecting the headphones works for me.
same here with 3.2 honeycomb
I noticed this problem. I'm on stock 3.1 rom, with no modification, only installed some apps. I was surprised that the speakers were on while I took off the headphones from my ears. It was not good because I was in a very quiet environment.
lol happened to me in the linrary
I recently installed Temasek CM11 build, and have found that when i take a call while using earphones, it barely plays through one of the earphones, almost as if it is mono. But everything else is perfect sound games videos. I have tried searching for similar problems to see if a solution exists, but no luck yet, i cant see anything suggestive in phone settings itself either. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
Hello everyone, I have a problem. I always had the liquid offical, all perfect good rom but I wanted to try something more 'recently seen that is not updated in a while.
I tried both the AOCP that the resurrection but both give me problems with the sound of my speaker bluetooth anker.
With the liquid sound was perfect, with AOCP, resurrection is of poor quality and crackles a lot, as if there were too many bass. I tried several music players, I tried using youtube I tested with clean installations, lolliviper with nothing to do. Only with the liquid is erfect..why? Someone has experience in this?
Thank You.

It's seems like the bluetooth drivers are not well implemented in that rom. Maybe you should tell your problem to the maker of your rom.
P.S. you should try bluetooth audio quality with anothes device. ..maybe it's aproblem of compatability between them.
Hi, Thanks! I tried the speaker with other device like asus t100ta, Samsung s3 and the sound in amazing.

I tried different rom lollipop, all with the same problem.
With the AICP lollipop (with and without lolliviper ) everything perfect, the speaker audio works perfectly...why?I do not understand why with some rom Sound is bad, with no other ...
Hey guys, I have a problem with the bluethoot playback, it stutters for a second randomly. It happens once every 5 or 10 minutes but it's pretty uncomfortable, I go through a creative speaker bombox and my two cars, another Spanish forum there are more people affected, someone else is wrong? The rom is indifferent, I spent with kk and I still happening with llp, thank you very much
Edit: bluetooth, not bluethoot
I have the same issue. I use my phone to play music (on SD card) in my car vua bluetooth and also use bluetooth headphones for same music.
And glad you noticed the bluethoot typo lol
I was having a similar problem with Bluetooth and Poweramp. I started using the Samsung music player and haven't had any problems yet
sent from somewhere
Same here....
Another thread was just created that's related to this problem. People are suggesting things like custom kernels.
Unfortunately for me, my phone doesn't have a Root method yet. So I'd welcome any solutions that don't require root.

I"m having the same problem with my phone. Regardless of which device my phone is sycn'd with, car, blue tooth speakers the sound skips/stops for a second then starts up again.
Samsung support wasn't much help, their resolution was to send the phone in.
Hey everyone! As the title says I'm having a problem with plugging in my headset and the microphone.
To be more specific, any time I plug in my headphones (Samsung original that I've gotten with the phone), the phone stops hearing my voice both from the headset and from the normal one. If I unplug the headset the microphone still won't work and in order to fix it I have to perform a reboot
I'm running Android 7.0 stock and not rooted. I do have Tasker installed but I did try a factory reset to check if any app was causing the issue and it still had the same problem
Did anyone encounter the same problem? Any idea? Thanks in advance
When you remove the headphones does the sound switch automatically to the phone speaker?
If it happens on stock ROM after a full reset there's probably a problem with the headphone plug in your phone. Try to clean it gently but it will probably need to be replaced.
Does the microphone on your headphones work on other smartphones?
Hey thanks for the answer!
I must admit I kinda forgot about this post but I did find out the problem.
I'll type it in case somebody else searches for the same issue in the future.
It was just the headphones. I tried my sisters' and they worked without a problem So I just went ahead and bought a new pair
Thanks for trying to help though much appreciated
Thanks for your post.
It's always nice to know what was wrong and this may help someone in the future.
