As far as I know there is YET no kitkat (PT-pt) update for this tablet.
I'm in the same situation.
Probably when the warranty voids (2 years from now) we'll have an Update.
Portuguese way FTW.

Yes, look here and search the Forums there are articles about it (sorry I don't really have any link ;P ).
Anyway if you're NOT in the EU lookout not to trip the Knox Flag tripping this flag will VOID your warranty outside of the European Union. If you're in Portugal no need to worry.

Mas qual é a version da tua note ?
A mine é 605 (lte) da MEO e já instalei (algumas 5 vezes) a 4.4.2 e volto sempre à 4.3 original simplesmente por causa da aplicação Meo Go que não funciona no kitkat, qualquer uma das versions kitkat que estão por aí funcionam lindamente em PT.
Já agora porque é que não há problema se alteramos o estado da flag da garantia ?

O teu modelo é o SM-P600 (só wifi) e o meu é o SM-P605 são dois aparelhos que apesar de serem parecidos por fora por dentro são (bastante) diferentes...
Não sei se é boa ideia actualizares para a versão 4.4.2 se não tens experiência nenhuma nisto, pode correr alguma coisa mal e depois ficas com um lindo e caro pisa papeis. Aconselho-te a esperares que saia a oficial para o teu equipamento (pode demorar um mês (??)) e acredita que vais ficar desanimado porque melhorias pouco ou nada e diferenças estéticas só na barra de status (encolhida) e nos ecrãs de definições onde raramente vais.

Desde já o meu obrigado por toda a informação e esclarecimento.
Acho que vou optar pela primeira opção, ou seja não vou mexer em nada e esperar que saia para este modelo, antes que faça asneira.
Eu só queria instalar por causa de algumas aplicações, mas nada de importante.

THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE GUIDE just a reminder of a list of steps to update SM-P600 to the new KitKat.
For a complete Guide you should head to this thread and this one.
I AM NOT responsible if you screw your device.
So for all the "tugas" out there, Samsung won't be releasing a PT-pt update anytime soon so if you want the new 4.4 KitKat this is what you'll have to do:
Go to sammobile (Sign Up there if you haven't already)
Search for your device in our case SM-P600
Download SPAIN version (or any other for that matter I recommend this one)
Download Odin 3.07 or up
Install Samsung Drivers (the easiest way is to install Kies3)
THIS IS JUST A LIST OF STEPS! READ THE FOLLOWING 2 LINKS to understand the process and to NOT screw UP
Before starting the actual update process I strongly recommend that you read this and this first.
Now lets get to work:
Open Odin
Put Firmware file (*.tar.md5) in PDA
While you wait Odin Computes your MD5 to check if your file is not corrupted put your device in download mode:
Down volume key + Home button + power button
Connect Tablet to PC and wait until the PC and/or Odin recognizes it
Then it the Start button
Wait until it finishes.
Done enjoy.

This tablet is officially abandoned by Samsung. They just don't care. End of story.

How to update LG G4 to android 6 MEO Portugal!!!

I'll write in Portuguese because this is for MEO (a portuguese carrier(and portuguese only)). There aren't MEO in any other country!!
Se compraste um LG G4 da meo e o tens desbloqueado à rede, provavelmente não estás a conseguir fazer o update oficial para o android 6.
A única forma que consegui fazer o update foi através disto:

Vais precisar de uma ROM que poderá ser a H81520A_00.kdz (procura que encontras - google it)
Sacas os dois programas e instalas pela ordem dita no post mencionado, ligas o G4 ao PC e abres o LGUP (nome do software instalado) ele deve reconhecer o teu telemóvel, de seguida selecionas UPGRADE e na janela de baixo do lado direito tem três pontos "..." selecionas isso e aí escolhes o ficheiro ".kdz" Já deves saber que esse ficheiro é o que contém o sistema por isso não te enganes em meter uma ROM(sistema android) de outro modelo! O H81520A_00.kdz é referente ao modelo H815 apenas!!! a versão é a 20A e penso que o "_00" no fim significa apenas que é a versão genérica europeia.
Depois disso estás livre da maldição do bloqueio da MEO.
Todos os créditos para o post mencionado, eu só dou a solução para um problema que demorei horas a resolver por tentativa e erro.

If you have bought an LG G4 m and have unlocked the network, probably you are not able to do the official update to android 6. Meu moto g4 plus deve está com algum problema já fiz vários testes com os Pixell e outras coisas mais não consigo resolver o problemas de quando fecho um app exemplo Facebook ou Games Whats na tela inicial da pra ver a página do app como se tiver a imagem do app travada no fundo , fica bem clarinho esse imagem ta me aborrecendo muito alguém aí pode dar uma ajuda pois tá difícil resolver quando desliso a barra de notificações consigo ver a última página ou app acessado será defeito do g4 Plus ???

This is a errror of sotfware, you can do an factory reset, after that all work normaly, and please, type just in english here, this forum is ONLY in english.

pessoal, estou tendo muitos problemas ao tentar restaurar a rom do meu xt1640, tudo começou depois de uma atualização o aparelho simplesmente desligou e morreu, ainda consegui ressuscitar mas não consigo reinstalar a rom dele, mostra falha em todos os comandos e não sai da tela de fastboot já tentei muita coisa ate paguei para um programador tentar restaura-lo, mas sem sucesso até agora, o erro que mostra é (FAILED (REMOTE FAILURE)) se alguém já passou por isso e conseguiu resolver, dá uma ajuda aqui por favor, eu já não sei o que fazer pra conseguir meu aparelho de volta e sinceramente estou sem condições de comprar outro. já baixei várias Roms para saber se tinha alguma compatível com meu aparelho mas até agora nada. por favor preciso muito de ajuda, desde já agradeço a qualquer um que se disponibilizar e ler esse post e tentar me ajudar. obrigado.
I'm having a lot of problems trying to restore the rom of my xt1640, everything started after an update the device simply shut down and died, I still managed to resuscitate but I can not reinstall the rom of it, it shows failure on all the commands and it does not leave the screen I have tried a lot of stuff until I paid for a programmer to try to restore it, but without success so far, the error that shows is (FAILED (REMOTE FAILURE)) if someone has already gone through this and managed to solve it, please help here , I no longer know what to do to get my device back and I'm honestly unable to buy another. I already downloaded several Roms to see if I had any compatible with my device but so far nothing. Flash gpt.bin first and then bootloader, then reboot to bootloader and then flash stock rom!

I'm having quite the same issue... first, I tried to root my xt1640 and it has bricked.. I was able to install stock rom nougat, then I did an OTa update and it has bricked again, this time I couldn't even enter bootloader, then I followed this guide forum.xda-developers.com/mot...guide-t3657761
I entered some kind of a bootloader with "start", then, when I try to flash gpt.bin, I get an error with the warning "Security version downgrade" and after that, a failed message... I tried lots of gpt's with no success!

You are trying to flash an older version of Stock ROM.
