a system based software automatically gets installed in phone memory even if you select internal storage , for example - even f you install net framework 3.5 to internal storage ... it will be installed in phone memory ..... so ........ don't worry keep installing on internal storage..........

I have rooted with vroot to help gain more useable internal storage, and now I have much less. I would like to know how to reduce the amount of system data used for internal storage. I know there is not much development for the 7.0 so any advice is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me how to get Foldermount to work when there is not enough internal storage space for the obb files. It seems you have to install to internal then use foldermount to move to external. Thanks in advance.
I have a tab 4 7' 8g sm-t230nu, but I cant root mine. Vroot never worked. How did you root yours?
You have to remove the august update 1st. DL the May kernel from sammobile.com and use odin. There is a thread on how to do it.

Yup, it should install to internal storage first. Click the add button and select where the obb files are in and then select the destination at where you want them (should be in: /storage/extSDcard/Android/obb/). The app will then move the files to the destination and trick the tab that they are in the internal storage. If you cant install Foldermount, try to delete cache and if that doesn't work remove any apps you dont use. System apps can be turned off and you will gain some space in return. Move as many apps to sdcard using the Settings app. If you still can't do it, I suggest you:
1) Backup Apps and Data
2) Remove Apps
3) Install apps with large obb files
4) Move data using foldermount
5) Reinstall apps you removed with the space you have left.
6) ????
7) Profit
You may noticed that settings will go crazy saying you have used more storage than you have available (example: 12 out 8 GB used). Don't worry about that, it shouldnt affect you at all

Try moving apps to sd. Without rooting Samsung should letnyou move some of the apps to sd. Also, move everything you have, including pictures from whatsapp and whatever to SD in order to free up more internal space, since only on it can apps be installed.
"I only have Facebook and Messanger". It's like you said i have 2 apps worth almost 1GB.
Use alternative for those 2, use facebook via browser.
If you really love those apps than install facebook with messanger built in by Zonik to save space

You can find many threads on XDA:
1) Facebook already patched: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/patched-facebook-separate-messenger-t3389145 .
2) Patcher - an app: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-facebook-apk-patcher-to-enable-t3366080 .
3) This one is the first thread as far as I know, but it's abandoned: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-facebook-chat-enabler-t2934179 .

That app no longer can be used on marshmallow. It did work on lollipop. Btw some apps are ok to be moved on stock samsung rom. Just go into settings>apps>storage section of app>change storage>internal/sd
I have troubles with J5, because it has 8Gb memory and official rom takes about 5.5Gb of rom so the rest is full almost imediatelly with 3 extra apps.
So I have rooted phone and put in external SD 32Gb and format is as internal memory, but still get notification all the time that storage is full.
I tried all custom roms here but none works, so I have installed official rom back.
Is there a way to do something to release that internal storage memory?

thank you I tried that but not working.
This this [Module] Magic Folder Binder (requires magisk)
Read #3 post for instructions how to use it
Basically whats that modules does is to mount folders on your external SDcard on internal memory, so you can move your app data to your SDcard and use it as normal.
Any questions ask on module thread.

Thanks, I already formated SD card as internal memmory and moved all apps which can be moved, but basically none of google apps can be moved and that is a problem.
Also don't know what fills up memmory, because fresh installed rom have 5.5Gb and phone fills up in one month to 8Gb.
Some light room will be good but I tried all and nothing works.
Is there a way to remove google apps which usually can not be removed?
I bought j5 and I downloaded At least few apps and it started showing "low disk space " I decided to delete all apps and out of 8gb it shows that I have 4MB only. I can't install anything and this phone is useless
