From Phandroid's article:
Despite being the biggest and most successful, Samsung isn’t always the most vocal player in the game when it comes to discussing upgrades to new versions of Android. The company has yet to formally detail a list of devices that will be receiving Android 4.4 KitKat.
Phandroid 4.4 KitKat
While anyone might have guessed that the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 might have been in line, a source close to the matter has confirmed to Phandroid that the following list of devices will be receiving the illustrious upgrade (devices in bold have already started to receive official rollouts):
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 SGH-i317
Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-i747
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-t217a
Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-i337
Samsung Galaxy S4 Active SGH-i537
Samsung Galaxy Mega SGH-i527
Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom SM-c105a
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900a
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 SGH-i467
Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini SM-g730a
As you can see, the Note 3′s rollout started late last month over in Poland, and should be heading to other regions as Samsung works out logistics and testing. As for the Samsung Galaxy S4, it was only this morning that Samsung began pushing out KitKat for users of the LTE-A variant over in South Korea.
Early reports of firmware from both the Galaxy S4 and Note 3 suggest Samsung didn’t change much in KitKat, though that’s because most of their significant upgrades came with the upgrade to Android 4.3 (which mainly enabled new camera features and Galaxy Gear compatibility). Users are treated to improved performance, though, as well as slight changes to Samsung’s UI which amount to little more than a couple of new icons.
Unfortunately, that’s about the length of our knowledge thus far. There’s no telling when, exactly, Samsung will look to push the upgrades out, nor do we know if they’re even close to being ready for public consumption.

More than anything, though, we’re just happy to know that devices dating back to 2012 are getting some love (especially considering a lot of other OEMs have already abandoned phones that only released just last year). We’ll be looking to dig up any information we can on the impending updates in the weeks (or months) to come.

Sammobile said our device and Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 are cheap devices and they're not sure if Samsung will bring KitKat to budget phones -_- God bless us.

What's the difference from the normal S3 mini (8190) to the G730A? Why did they create a new model number for an already existing model? Can I install this new firmware on the older model?

I hope they publish an oficial rom for international phones... So far all custom roms have some glitches... I'll be expectating...
There's many roms for this phone. I like the Carbon Rom personalization, but it's isn't ready yet on 4.4...

Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help me with this. I got a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from Korea (SM-N900S) and upgraded it to Android 4.4.2. It is branded as SK Telecom with software that I don't need but can't remove. Kies also displays update messages in Korean which I can not read, I was worried I do something wrong and mess up the device. It went safely but not sure this happens every time.
I need to remove the branding for both functional and cosmetic reasons and have a standard Note 3 Android, my questions are:
Is there a way to unbrand and remove the SKT booting screen and apps and instead have a standard unbranded official plain vanilla Note 3 version without triggering KNOX or conflicing with future updates from Kies?
Can I use a firmware from a different region of another submodel (SM-N900) without damaging the device or losing functionality like LTE?
Can changing the CSC to another region remove the branding?
Thank you in advance.
Hello, i have the same problem, an would appreciate if someone have a solution =)
Many Thanks in advance

Hello everyone,
My Friend has a Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900, which he bought from NewYork. He got it rooted and region unlocked in order to use it in India. It is on Android 4.4.2. Now the problem is that ,its touch response is not good(very very bad).Sometimes touches work ,sometimes they dont. Tested touch with a Multitouch app and found that it doesnot recognize all the touches and (touch) ghosting also occurs. Is there something that i can do ? or should i get it repaired from a Samsung Service Center(No Warranty)? Should flashing a new ROM works ?
A general doubt for me is whether i could flash Russian /Indian Lollipop ROM on this device, which is region unlocked and rooted?
Thanks in Advance.
Looks like hardware issue ?

Thank you
Another question, can I flash different region ROM on Note 3, if so suggest me a ROM stock, and can I flash lollipop Indian region ROM.?
I'm not so much into it... You can flash other region ROMs too I guess... Not sure though as there are variants!

Hey guys,
Just going through the search forums and by the looks of it unless samsung pick up the pace I'm stuck on 4.4.2 because Optus tried to save some money.
has anyone had any success with a towelroot note 3 9007 variant and been able to run a lollipop rom on it yet? if so was odin required and which rom do you use.
thanks in advance
No forum for this model .
hey guys i have a galaxy s7 edge exynos version .I recently rooted it and then unrooted it and installed official rom .After unrooting i didnt get any updates at all.So do i have root back and install a custom rom or is there is any way that i can install the nougat update.

Verizon hasn't released Android 7 to the S7/S7 Edge yet.
There hasn't been any official word from Verizon on when they plan on releasing Android 7, but search for any information about it, a lot of different sites seem to think it's going to be sometime in March.
As for the root / unroot question, if KNOX was tripped during the rooting process, you may not be able to install the OTA update.
You might be able too using different software, which you should be able to find by searching the forum.
A handy tool to check of the CSC and KNOX were tripped or now, install the.

If it comes back saying Warranty Valid, then you should be able to install 7 no problem.
If it comes back saying Warranty Invalid, then you will probably need to wait until it's available for manual download.

That's great. The 935t is T-mobile. We have the 935v, which is Verizon. Which is what he was asking about.
