Hey XDA, first time posting, long time follower here. I followed the tutorial from @hsbadr to get CyanogenMod 13 on my Verizon Note 4(here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3253973, and it is working flawlessly! But having been on CM13 for a little over a couple months, I am beginning to miss my S-Pen functionality. I've been doing some research, and can't seem to find a solid working example of getting the S-Pen to function (not expecting 100% functionality, of course). From what I could gather, the S-Pen's functionality is tied in with Touchwiz, but I didn't know if there any ports from the stock ROM that runs independently of Touchwiz.
Similarly, I've been missing the amazing functionality of the stock camera app back when I was running 5.1.1, but again I understand (or at least I believe so) that the camera app actually depends on Touchwiz. I've been using Open Camera for a while, but seriously miss the built in functionality that the stock app provided. Have there been any developments or workarounds for this? I realize there's more than likely little to nothing that can be done while running CM13, but I figured I'd ask! Also, for those curious, I've provided a screen shot of my system information. Thank you!

I tried it out but it was a bit bare for my liking. Guess its in betaBeta stage now. So im sticking with MiKfroyo for now. I am a great fan of cyanogen i'll wait.
It is in alpha stage so you cant expect too much
I tried it today for a couple of hours. Browsing seemed to be slightly faster (maybe it was my imagination). Everything else seemed to be the same as CM 6.1.1 as far as I could tell, but I didn't play with it for that long. Couldn't get SWYPE to work on it.
I flashed back to Fresh ROM, but will probably go CM permanently if they can get the cameras to work properly and support 4G.....hopefully with the final release of CM 7.....?
I tried out baby wipes once instead of toilet paper.

Running lithid 12/24/10 13:07 build. Love the speed, really really want CMParts and all the other tweaks, like the notification power widgets.
One bug I've noticed since I set my DPI to 162 is that whenever I select something in a list on the screen, I see a blue bar in the middle:

This seems like a great fit for our Z4 tablet, perfect for use with the keyboard dock or even without it, the multi-window capability should've been baked in by Sony in the first place IMHO.

Aargh, I thought this was an announcement!
I do agree it would be great.
Guys what are you talking about. There is no even a cyanogenmod for our device. The method of rooting is defective, loss of drm keys and problems with xposed . What's more horibble is that there is almost no development at all. First and last achievement is adroplus kernel and nothing more.
Arrrggg curse you sony why you make this tablet so damn hard to root why couldnt it be like the z2 tablet lol I wouldnt give my z2 tab away over z4 if it had the exact same keyboard
It would be nice if I could download the above file. It downloads a portion then stops.:crying:
Agreed, I love this tablet but dev support is horrible compared to other devices... Honestly, I'll be happy with root on marshmallow once we get it... My only knock so far is not being able to move all app files to SD, looks like marshmallow should take care of that tho
Hi,
I just put together a brief description of apps/settings I use on my Z3C.

Yes, with missing link it looks really weird Sorry for that, it's fixed now
One thing I have to say - you really depend on many customization options... totally different type of usage if compared to what I expect from my Z3C.
I only use stock apps, stock launcher and no serious mods except some Xposed ones which are essential for me to use my phone daily.
Maybe it's because it was always difficult for me to set up everything and I had no time to test different setups... I'm that kind of lazy guy
Anyway I don't really have too much to say about your setup but you provided nice description of your apps and settings!
'Cause I was bored waiting for the next beta of MM, I decided to implement your suggestions. You're right, these make for a nice Android experience on my Z3c. I'm curious to see what effect there is on battery.
For those not aware, Rogers has pushed their OTA to Note Edge users for the 6.0.1 update despite them officially pushing to May 30 as per their update site. Enjoy!

Honestly it really has breathed new life into this phone. It's faster, uses less RAM, has the pen features of the Note 5 and looks fantastic! Love the new colours for the folders and how they hold 9 visibly.

To be honest I find it exactly the same as 5.1.1 with few improvements. The s pen sdk is definitely lot better than older version, more like Note 5 port. I hate the fact that you can't make the Air Command transparent or translucent. Any idea on how to root it?
Odin flash twrp from micky flash latest supersu beta an if u want the latest xposed 85 alt.
Am running a variation of stock rooted with Frankenclark Kernel. I've not particularly tweaked this phone, nor do I have exposed. I've noticed a decided slow down sluggishness, especially evident when I used the Google search bar, or need to type something in. I am using Nova Launcher and also SwiftKey keyboard. I realize that there may be some service etc.. that's creating issues, but very hard to figure it out at this point. Before I give up on the phone in general (the camera is not great, and also battery life is "eh") I'd like to give a shot at an alternate ROM. Am thinking the combination of a wipe and a new ROM might breathe some new life into this. I just flashed PureNexus on my aging Nexus 7 2013 and so far it seems to have made a big difference.
Any recommendations? I am not especially using the phone for games, nor do I really need to tweak this (e.g. Nova's tweaks are good enough).

Every ROM is build to work good with all carriers.
Trupure

BrokenOS or Dirty Unicorns... Have to Google them as neither is on XDA anymore, but both are rock solid.
only reason im on trupure/ frankenclark is because of KCAL, i can add more saturation and the screen looks amazing
