In the earlier roms, OIS could be enabled in the camera settings. However in the newest latest roms, OIS has vanished from settings. Which version of the rom still shows OIS in camera settings?

Hello, i want to install cyanogenmod but from what i read, camer app sux, so i want to install the samsung stock apk, i haven´t flashed CM, (still have touchwiz) how do you extract an apk from the current rom to install it on another rom ???
the touchwiz camera will not work on aosp-based roms as there are framework variations. the 4.3 camera is working superbly for me. cheers.
The cyan camera is great IMO, only issue I've noticed on some aosp ROM's is the HDR being too dark. Easily fixed by just unchoosing and rechoosing the HDR option. I like the focusing a lot more than the stock camera.

As we all know nexus 6p has excellent camera hardware, but I am not satisfied with camera app with no functionality and sluggish.
Please recommend the best camera app you guys using.
I'm using the Sense camera, love it

I'm digging the moto x pure camera...allows you to touch anywhere to take a shot.

I got bad performance and quality from it.
From where did you get it? Maybe some ports are better than others.
The Moto camera is good also, but I like the features on the Sense camera the best. I'm just using the camera from the play store, but to do so I'm using the Sensify Xposed module. I sometimes use camera360, but have also started to mess around with ProShot. But the HTC camera is my go to camera always.

I use Proshot if I ever want to use manual, but haven't had to use it lately.

Camera FV-5 is also a great Camera App, I wish there were a way to make the Color OS Camera work with the n6p

Proshot or the stock camera for me
Thank you guys.. I will give Proshot a try..
I was using camera Fv-5
but all of a sudden it stopped auto focusing. That's bad. I'm on latest PureNexus ROM.
I like the stock camera, ProShot and Manual Camera the best. The Sense camera was my all time favorite, but I've had some reliability issues with it in the past on non HTC phones (even using the xposed hack)
Too bad third party apps like proshot can't do HDR.
Looking for any app that can optimally use the OnePlus 5 camera after installing a ROM. Currently using Google camera, but I don't see any way to switch between the dual cameras. Many of the camera features seem to be lost to me without the official camera app.
What ROM you using? XXX No limits ROM is a customized OxygenOS ROM that uses the stock OP5 camera app. Mix it with the Lightning Kernel and you are set.

You can't, it has a function, forcing it to site both war never it's intention, it was simply for depth of field, kind of crap but that's it.

Hello all,
I just rooted my device and installed the GCAM app
"GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.4Beta2"
With Nexus 6 auto settings. The front facing camera portrait is working awesome, whereas the rear camera portrait is not working at all.
Also, I'm not able to see portrait option under advanced settings.
Is there a newer version of GCAM? Are my settings correct?

quick trial: very good, visible improvements in low light conditions
Arnova's pixel2mod is working great as well. No need to tweak many settings too

Which rom? The stock camera quality on OxygenOS is very good compared to other phones, just have a look at the xda review section within op5 sub forum m
I am also said about Oxygen OS 9.0.5
In Oxygen OS Oreo there was a magisk module and camera app name call "Camera M" can developer build camera M for Oxygen OS pie

I advise you to use GCAM, as it'll greatly improve your overall experience with the camera.
Thanks for suggestion bro for GCAM but I don't want to root my phone because GCAM fully work with rooted device and without root not working properly, GCAM best work with magisk module.

I've tried many port and mod, stock camera on pro mode gives really nice result.
Also, with RAW picture you can do magic with snapseed, this app is very very powerful.
However, GCam is all the software that made the Pixel's reputation for picture quality.
No root, no Gcam  :silly:
gcam will work fine on non-rooted devices, just dot in the image (not very noticeable for 97% of intagramers, and selfie wont do much better)
