So I got my phone yesterday and immediately submitted all of my information to get the SD card from Samsung. Below is what I submitted and the answer I received. This pisses me off.

Your submission has been approved!
Your 256GB Memory Card will be sent to you at the mailing address provided when registering for this offer within 12 weeks
.*Once your gift has shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking number and additional redemption details.
Don't forget about the Samsung Pay Bonus! Get $20 in rewards when you make your first qualifying purchase with Samsung Pay.**
I attached my preorder email which showed the device and price paid. Samsung approved my offer redemption within an hour.
Not for nothing, but you didn't scan Samsung the receipt with all of the information redacted, correct? I assume you did that just for showing us on XDA. The reciept has to show address/name that matches where you are requesting the gift be sent. I too received a response within an hour saying everything was good. Then, another hour later got an email saying my gift was in route. Good luck!

I submitted it like it came with nothing redacted. I did what someone on Reddit did and just opened it in paint and fixed it and matched the font. Fingers crossed. Just resubmitted it.

Turn the Note 7 box to the side where the IMEI and other info is slip the paper in the side of the box to show all the info and use that photo. That worked for me
Your AT&T receipt doesn't seem to state that you bought a Note 7 or an N930A.

Yes - it's this. I've seen several people post a receipt like this and got rejected. My AT&T receipt shows N930A where as yours and the others that got rejected only show N9. That's the only thing I noticed that was common with your submission and the others that failed.
It needs to be the thin thermal paper receipt. I did the BoGo and the paper you show is like what I got showing the price for one, but my register receipt shows the purchase for 2 Note 's. That is the one I scanned and sent in with pics of both boxes. Use the Point of sale receipt instead.

So I ordered the Nexus 7 the first day it was available to order, but with the tablet not shipping out like it should I picked one up at GameStop. I refused the shipment that Google sent me and they got the shipment back on 7/20.
I called Google many times and they told me to wait 14 days for the return to process because they were very busy. Now it's been over 14 business day and Google tells me I need to be more patient.
What should I do? and how can Google do this?
Google even tried to blame the credit card company. I can't believe a big company like Google would do this. I never thought Google would make Apple look so good. And what I mean by that is Apple has very good customer service.

So good of customer support, they'll hand out your password without even asking for security questions.
Not saying Google is perfect, but I've heard worse stories with Apple...
As for the charge, I would give it another week (unless you need the money for an emergency or something), and then dispute it with the credit card company.
you should have just waited the extra week. lots of us did. you wasted googles time, now they're wasting yours. sounds even to me.
call your cc company and dispute. you should get it instantly while they battle it for you.

It all started when Google gave out the guys alternate email address, which allowed the hacker to get into the guys gmail account. It was a combination of Google, Apple, and Amazon that made it all possible. And of those three, Google is by far the worst customer service. It's hard enough to find a phone number for them, let alone get help.

hahaha. Have you ever disputed a credit card charge? You will be lucky to get the charge refunded within 60 days. Most likely they will give you some crap about how they are going to open up a 60 day investigation period and look into the matter. And it's going to take all 60 of those days to do it.

This is true. They give it back instantly as a "provisional" credit until they conclude their investigation.

You were impatient and couldn't wait 5-7 days after official release to get your N7 from Google so you went and bought another somewhere else and now your mad at Google for your impatience?
Take it up with your credit card company, get your instant credit and move on with your life.
Worst company ever
I ordered my Nexus 7 the day they were announced thinking Google would be the only place to get them. The following day I found out that both Carphone Warehouse and Currys/Dixons would be selling them. I thought, sensibly enough, that there was no point paying for delivery when I could stroll down and pick one up. I cancelled the order, heard nothing, requested confirmation 3 times more, then got an email on 19th July telling me my order had shipped. I phoned Google and was told to refuse delivery which would automatically generate a refund when the device was returned. 3 weeks went by with no sign of a refund so I contacted TNT to confirm they had actually returned the device. They confirmed it was returned on July 20th. I've since spoken to 2 people at Google who both confirmed the return is showing on their system, both said they couldn't issue a refund and the last guy said he was referring the case to a specialist who would be able to resolve it. That was a week ago. This "specialist" can only be contacted by email (which he/she/it doesn't reply to) so I'm now in a situation where I've paid for a device I never had, which Google have confirmed they've had back for almost a month now, and still no sign of my money.
This is the most pathetic company I have ever dealt with and I am now so pissed off with them I'm about to ditch Android entirely and also move my business off the Google Apps system we currently use and move to Microsoft.I believe the term is epic fail.

I am in the same boat as you google just ain't playing ball or they ain't got a clue what's going on with refunds I would advise to ask to speak to a supervisor I did and he opened a tickete as the amateurs on the google phone desk are not referring your refund to the correct departments that's why no one is getting refunds they are so badly trained its unbelievable.

All I could find was this:
http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2411741#US
Everytime I call google, the amount of time to expect a refund increases.
They received mine back on august 8th...I contacted them on the 13th via email. Received credit yesterday....
OK has anyone had any experience on doing an exchange or return in the UK for a nexus 4.
I recieved mine today and the damn device is perfect in every way except the bezel had a big chunk of paint chipped off where the volume rocker is. I was gutted as the screen was pixel perfect the buttons were solid the back didn't creak. nothing.
So I thought I'll set up an exchange no problem Google are good this way. After all the guys over in the us get a shipping label send off the device and in the mean time a new one is winging its way to you. Thanks to ups.
So I spoke to Eric who said he would set up the RMA and I should send back the damaged device with the shipping label and RMA note in the email he would send.
Not so
I got the email and it had an RMA document but no shipping label.
I phoned to ask where I send it from then. Now Jeremy tells me they don't do shipping labels for the UK as its TNT that deal with things over here.
OK I thought I'll contact TNT
Nope they need a reference number for collection or before they can do anything.
So I phone back
In the mean time I check my Google account and notice the new device £279 pending. So I check my bank and find the £279 has been pre authorized on my bank account
Which wouldn't be so bad if they sent a shipping label etc as I could have it sent away tomorrow and with them next week. Well within the 21days return and they wouldnt charge me.
As it is I have no shipping label and no one can reassure me that one is or will be send and how I will receive it.
So I call up johnney at Google who tells me it should turn up but does not know how.
Well I can't have £279 pre auth out my account for a device that will ship to me sometime and £288 out my account for a device I have but is faulty so can't sell it and probably won't get a shipping label sent out therefore I'll end up with one good device which I will be charged for and another that's faulty and cannot return
That's if the exchange is OK when it comes
My god why don't they offer a door step exchange like Sony did with the ps3 etc through ups or city link
In the end I couldn't take the risk and had to cancel the exchange so that the pre auth will drop off my account and set up the RMA for the one I have to get a refund.
I know its not great but better than being charged again and ending up not being able to return the first.
From what I read over at the nexus 7 forum a lot of UK customers waited for about a month for refunds but some were 59 days or more as the shipping labels just didn't go out.
So I wanted to know if anyone had already went through this process in the UK and what the actual procedure was and how long it took to receive the shipping label etc. Did it get sent out or did you drop it off with TNT and give googles account number or what.
Any info would be great and I'm sure it would help other UK customers as I would have really liked some info.
Unfortunately we are not as fortunate as our US brothers and sisters to be able to deal with ups and simple returns.
Here's some pics of my lovely but flawed nexus

Anyone want to chip in with experiences as it would be really useful to find out what's going on in the UK since Google don't seem to know
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I've just organised a replacement due to white spots on the screen and the buzzing earpiece. It took a while to get through, and I was ready to break something due to the pre recorded message about high volumes of calls on a constant loop (as in it literally repeats the second it finishes) but the guy I spoke to was extremely helpful, more so than any UK based CSR I've ever dealt with!
In terms of the procedure, he's emailing me with an RMA form and he said a prepaid postage label will come with my new device in order to send the defective one back. He also said a charge will appear on my card and once they receive the defective device they'd take the charge off.
Although my experience hasn't completed yet, I thought I'd share my experience so far.
01354 226184 that's the none 0800 number to call for UK based support by the way, for those who can't call 0800 numbers for free.
Yeah same as myself.
The issue I have with it all is they don't really know who arranges what in the UK. I was told its TNT that arrange the returns bag but TNT say its Google that have to initiate the return through TNT. Then latter sounds more sensible but Google cs don't know how to do this and presume its automatic.
Problem is you only have a limited time to get the return back to them.
If I could walk into TNT give googles TNT account number then pop the device in a bag with the RMA note I would be happy.
It would be sent off and tracked. Simply just have to wait on it being received and refunded.
What makes me uneasy is the potential for the returns bag to never turn up. You get billed for a second device and no way to return the original defective one.
I'll keep this going as there are lots of threads about returns in the US but nothing about how the process works in practice in the UK which leaves me wishing Google had a walking store or doorstep exchange service.
Also thanks for the non 0800 number

You know I remember reading somewhere in the agreement Google say that they reserve the rights to send out used/refurbished items as replacement. Maybe your nexus is one of those.
Just a suggestion: Do try to make sure you handle your RMA carefully. I recently did an RMA and the CSR sounds like a complete noob and in the email they sent me has a RMA agreement with ASUS and link on it.They're just getting real sloppy.

There is no way the RMA stock already has returned/refurbished devices in it. They have to go back through a process to be repaired, inspected, tested, and repackaged before they can be sent as RMA units and this process takes weeks or even months. Any RMA units that are sent out at this point in time will definitely be new units.
The RMA devices are new as they have as said before kept a stock of new ones aside for this purpose.
As of yet I have not had any returns envelope or shipping label etc.
I know j could use the nexus 4 just now until returned but I'm just so fed up with the whole process its left the device tainted with this experience. Its an awesome device and love the design I just can't bring myself to use it because of all this. So it will be returned as I got it if I ever get to return it

I looked at their site and it said the RMA document would be sent with my replacement, which would be despatched within a week of the 20th. Seriously, Google are a joke!
I'm trying to arrange a collection for my faulty Nexus, I have the TNT bag with the consignment letter, which has a senders account number registered to Google. The delivery address on the consignment letter is that of LG Electronics in Poland, TNT won't collect it as the delivery address that they have registered to the Account Number that I'm quoting is for Google in Belgium.
Did anyone else experience this? I'm tempted to blag it with TNT and just say that the delivery address is what they think it should be.
Even though Google said they will refund a week after I received my device I have yet to see a refund from the original backorder. Has anyone received there's yet? I'm debating whether to call them about it or just waiting one more week before I do.

everytime I see an email with the word "specialist" i like oh boy! do they exist?
Have not seen mine yet... Someday Maybe it will be here... but after everything I really am not expecting anything.
They gave me my 13.99 back. (Order from 27th)
Email with refund confirmation received on the 6th (Dec.) and it showed up on my credit card on the 7th.
But I was talking to CSR with my credid card rep (conference call), because I filed a dispute but once I got the phone I decided to cancel the dispute. This is the only CSR that was actually helpful.
I got an email saying my shipping would be refunded then I finally emailed them a few days a go and then the girl looked into it and said you're not eligible for a refund. Despite me forwarding the original email stating I would be refunded.

Took me four phone calls and two "escalations" to receive the refund. Not sure if my time was worth it..
Google customer service reps are seriously ill-informed. I discovered a gap between the screen and the bezel on my unit. When I called to request a replacement, they said to me (not once, but twice since it took two phone calls) "uhhh, we issued a refund, we can't send a replacement".
The only thing refunded was the shipping! facepalm...

I emailed them about the refund last week and the first email said that I had already gotten it. I emailed back and said nothing has come through. I got another email stating that maybe my CC company had denied it and to check with them - Never had an issue w/my CC company doing this before. So I decided to call Google and the rep forwarded me onto a "specialist" who said that they are doing the refunds in "batches" and if I don't have it in the next 7-10 days to call back. Frustrating that I can't get an honest answer out of any of them and that they said w/in 7 days it would be refunded.
no and I called them a few days ago. saying to forwarded it to a "specialist" they need to hurry up. then asked me if I still had the email which I don't because I deleted it along with my other emails by accident. why need the email? your system is the one who sent it out

Finallyyyyyyyy refunded after 100 days. any still not receive there refunds?
I sent a nexus 10 one month ago today for a refund ( got one from walmart instead) from Google and have yet to receive it.. I checked the tracking numbers ups gave me and it was delivered 20 days ago.. whats going on?
I don't really think you're going to find much help on here I'm afraid What I would do is phone UPS and find out exactly when and where it was to delivered and who, presumably, signed for it. Tell them that it's a Google return they might be able to help you. After that phone Google and be insistent, tell them what ups told you and try to get to the bottom of it.
Good luck!

I have exactly the same experience. Order 2x3 Nexus 10's on the 11th of January. When the first 3 arrived two of them had their factory seal broken, so when the next 3 arrived I refused delivery (there were a ton of other reasons as well, e.g. delivered two weeks after the others) and had them sent back to Google. This was January 28th. Google received and signed for the pacakge on the 30th (tracking says Signed By: SCS 2200 BLDG), but I have yet to receive the money - over 1600$. I have mailed them numerous times, and receive vague answers like "we are so sorry...", "we are investigating the issue...", "we have assigned a specialist to resolve this issue..."... This has been going on for weeks - but still no money,
Lucky I paid with my credit card, so if I haven't received the money over the weekend I will call my CC company and have them refund me the money.
Will never buy from the Play Store again. Google has tons to learn from Apple here.
I pre-ordered the new Samsung20 Ultra and was supposed to have it March 13th. I started receiving all the bonus items on that date, but no device. I started trying to call baout this on the 16th and was given at 3 different stories about where my order was, but never a real explanation as to why it was being delayed. New delivery dates promised, an email from someone at Samsung saying they showed a had already received it which was completely false so I had to call and argue about that as well. Finally 2 weeks later I get an email with a tracking number. I was supposed to get it yesterday. I check the tracking and find out that it is in town at the local center at 7am. So I am finally feeling some relief that I am going to receive my device. Nothing shows up. I track again this morning and find that it was returned to Samsung. Then I got 2 different stories, one from FedEx and one from Samsung. FedEx says that Samsung requested it be returned and Samsung says it shows that I refused delivery. I get 2 FedEx deliveries each day for my business and I accepted both of them yesterday personally and neither had the device. When I call Samsung they say they can't do anything and that I have to place a new order and wait another god know how long before i get the phone. I can tell you that I have had something similar like this happen with an Apple order and they took full responsibilty from the word go. They immediately arranged to overnight me a replacement and I had it in my son's hands the next day. So sorry Samsung, while I prefer your devices to Apple, your customer service stinks!

If I'm you I'll cancel the order and get refund. And you'll get to keep the freebies that was shipped. Then go buy the phone if you really like it from retail shop.
