Hello there! There is an awesome kitchen but works only on Linux. I always recommend it for making zips from any stock ROM.
I prefer to use Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64bit, as it has the best support overall.
SuperR's Kitchen
Things to do after installing Ubuntu
- Install OpenJDK-1.8 and development tools.
Code:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install openjdk-8-jdk bison build-essential curl flex git gnupg gperf libesd0-dev liblz4-tool libncurses5-dev libsdl1.2-dev libwxgtk3.0-dev libxml2 libxml2-utils lzop maven pngcrush schedtool squashfs-tools xsltproc zip zlib1g-dev g++-multilib gcc-multilib lib32ncurses5-dev lib32readline6-dev lib32z1-dev libgl1-mesa-dev libxml2-utils xsltproc unzip git-core libc6-dev-i386 x11proto-core-dev libx11-dev lib32z-dev ccache
$ sudo apt-get update
See also Official Android Development and CM Development and an Example.
- After you download everything, install SuperR's Kitchen by git-cloning from its repository on BitBucket to your PC.
Code:
$ git clone https://bitbucket.org/superr/superrs-kitchen.git
- Open a terminal from the place that you cloned it (mostly on the root of your Home folder) and type
Code:
$ cd superrs-kitchen
$ ./superr
- Download the stock .zip from SamMobile, and push it to a new project.
- Then the kitchen will guide you for the rest!
Further details on the corresponding thread! Be well!

Use sprs2ext.jar file. its a java program that will ask you to drag your system.img file into its interface. the output will be system.img.ext4 which has to be further accessed using ext2explore. You will find your required system dump there and yeah as my friend above quoted, use superr kitchen for deodex
I will be what I will be sending you by PM a model of the J5 in specific?

i fork some files from Victor-android project into device/huawei/u8800pro,i don't use my own vendor tree,bacause i still try to create it,at this time my rom maybe can't works.
Although this does contain what could be thought of as development. It is still a question. Good luck with your rom, when you are at a testing stage please post it in the development thread, or PM me and i will move this one back when your at that stage.
Peace!

This toolset is based on prior work of:
crt60 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1288373 - and -
Daneshm90 and crzyruski - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=598026
I've used a version of these scripts for a couple years and decided to update them and provide something that can be used for general deodexing purposes on any stock firmware - for any Android version up to 4.4.x.
These scripts automate the entire process of creating deodexed and zipaligned apks and jars from stock based firmwares. Once done it is still up to you to merge them back into the system partition or customize them as you see fit with apktool and/or other tools.
This script uses the 2.0.3 version of JF's smali and baksmali to regenerate the classes.dex file from the odex file and package it into the apk and jar files. It will also zipalign (with 32-bit alignment).
There is an option to pull the system partition from the phone, or you can do this yourself and place the app, priv-app, and framework files in the staging folders manually.
To use the toolset:
Extract the zip to a folder with no spaces in the name (same goes for any folders above)
If you already have system pulled, add app (*.apk/*.odex), priv-app [4.4.x] (*.apk/*.odex), and framework (*.jar/*.apk/*.odex ) folder contents to the extracted folders
See the Readme.txt file for additional information
Double-click on deoall.bat to start the script as is shown below...
------------------------------------------
| Compression-Level: 9 | Android API: 19 |
------------------------------------------
**************** Auto-Deodexer 4.4.x *******************
Choice Action
1 Pull system (Phone must be in USB debugging mode and attached to USB)
2 Set Android API level (Important!! - Do this before deodexing)
3 Deodex a stock ROM (Either copied from image file or Pulled from phone)
4 Zipalign apk's (After they are deodexed)
5 Select compression level for apk's/jar's
6 Clean up (Deletes intermediate folders after zipalign is complete)
7 Help - Show How-To
8 Quit
Please make your decision:
Auto-Deodexer Package Contains:
* app (directory)
* priv-app (directory)
* framework (directory)
* adb.exe (v 1.0.31 - API 20)
* AdbWinApi.dll
* AdbWinUsbApi.dll
* 7za.exe (v 9.20)
* baksmali-2.0.3.jar
* deoall.bat
* deoAPK.bat
* deoAPK-PRIV.bat

* Readme.txt
* smali-2.0.3.jar
* zipalign.exe (API 20)
* zipappapk.bat
* zipappapkpriv.bat
* zipframeapk.bat
All binaries included are current as of July 2014 and obtained from Android SDK (adb, zipalign), SourceForge (7za), & google.com (smali/baksmali).
Thanks to crt60, Daneshm90 and crzyruski for original work on these scripts
Thanks to jesusfreke for smali/baksmali

Nice job, Zen!
I can vouch for this.
It really works...purely simplifying the deOdex process.
If you have Odex apks and want to deOdex them..this is da bomb.
Why anyone would want deOdex the files, though. That's another story...
Awesome work as always Zen. I will be using this for sure. :thumbup:

woww.. thnx great tool.
keep it up.
Will I be able to use this to de odex a stock Motorola ROM? Motorola is a little tricky from my past experience. If so, I assume this will have to be done via the stock rom slot using safestrap.(?) I am sorry for the uninformed questions but I cannot find device specific instruction, considering I do everything with virtual rom slots on a locked bootloader I thought it would be wise to ask assistance before I end up doing yet another fastboot flash lol. Thanks for the great tool.
please mirror download link..thanks

Hmm So you wanna use SlimLP, SOKP, etc but the Empty SIM Icon is irritating you? People advise using GravityBox but i couldnt find any option in there. That little icon just ruins the fun of RRO right?
Well, so here's how you disable/hide that!
NOTE- IF U ARE ON RESURRECTION REMIX THEN GO TO THE 2ND POST
AND THANK THAT USER.
AND IF U WANT AN EASIER METHOD, GO TO THE FIFTH POST AND THANK THAT USER.
REQUIREMENTS
1. SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk from your rom.(Instructions below)
2. Apktool (You'll need the snapshot build.)
3.A working mind (no download link lol)
DISCLAIMER
You know it
Alright so we'll divide it into four parts-
PART-1
Acquiring both apk files.
1. Flash the rom
2. adb pull /system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk
3. adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk
(google "adb pull" if you don't know what that is)
OR
1. Extract system.new.dat using this guide.
2. You know what u have to do
Alright so we now have both the files requied. Let's move on.
PART-2
1. Copy apktool.bat, apktool.jar, SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk to one folder.
2. Run this in cmd--> apktool if framework.apk (This will import the framework-res.apk)
3. Run --> apktool d SystemUI.apk (you know what that does )
Now we'll edit the files.
PART-3
1. Navigate to SystemUI/res/layout directory that has been created.
2. Open signal_cluster_view.xml
3. Press Ctrl+F and search for "no_sim"(without quotes)
4. Change - android:layout_width and android:layout_height to "0dip" and save it.
5. Next, Open SystemUI/res/drawable folder and open stat_sys_no_sim.xml.
6.Change- android:height and android:width to "0.0dip" and android:viewportWidth and android:viewportHeight to "0.0"
7.Save it and do the same with stat_sys_no_sims.xml
8. Now recompile SystemUI using apktool b SystemUI
9. Copy everything inside SystemUI/original to SystemUI/build/apk (Replace if needed)
10. Run apktool b SystemUI again and you'll have the ready apk in /dist directory.
Ok so now we have to put this back into the rom.
DO NOT DO IT USING A FILE MANAGER OR YOUR PHONE WILL BECOME UNUSABLE. YOU'LL HAVE TO REFLASH THE ROM.
Follow PART-4
PART-4
1. Download the zip attached.
2.Open it in winrar and paste the apk in SystemUI/dist into system/priv-app/SystemUI/ in the zip file.
And now flash it in recovery and you're done!!
HIT THANKS IF IT HELPED!!

Apktool 2.0 if fine for apks of 5.0.x. As we all know that sokp and all other roms are 5.1.1 so the snapshot build is required. If u use 2.0 for a 5.1 apk, you'll get errors[emoji4]

First,I'm a Chinese so forgive my poor English.
In the past,many rom authors and apk editors need to download and install many tools like apktools,sometimes we even have to install a Linux-based OS to operate something like kernel...
but,the future is now!
I started a project named ROM Studio which contains many features like xml/smali highlights and updater-script auto-complete(also AROMA Installer!),it integrated everything you need to do in rom development like adding/deleting apps in /system/app and priv-app,editing the things in framework and /etc...
Another function I proudly introduced is APK Reverse Engineering,such as APK decompiling/recompiling,smali/xml highlighting,enumrating and sorting resources automatically by the resolution(like xhdpi,xxhdpi blablabla...)
So I simply list the functions here:
- Visual Studio-like experience IDE.
- ROM/APK Project guide
- Sort the files in projects automatically
- One-click adding/deleting system apps
- One-click adding/deleting preload apps
- Easily modding framework and etc(Just add/delete files in folders)
- Easily adding/deleting fonts(Will add preview if I can)
- Easily editing build.prop and show the comment(Will add if I can)
- A full-featured text editor like highlighting smali/xml/updater-script
- Auto-complete updater-script,also AROMA Installer!
- Auto zipping and signing your rom or simple flashable zip
About apk operation:
- A apktool that was rewrote by C++(Not confirmed)so you don't need to install Java
- Easily importing framework apk
- Sorting files in projects by its function automatically
- Easily editing xml/smali by highlighting grammer and key words
- Previewing layouts(Considering add it or not)
- One-click recompiling and debugging,also have logcat puller!The output of compilation and logcat will display on seperated output window(like Visual Studio )
- Auto signing with test-key or your custom key
Other tools:
- AROMA Installer configuration guide
- Init.d and SuperSU enabler(by modding updater-script and adding some scripts in your rom)
- build.prop optimizer
- image flasher(Use my internal fastboot or add to your flashable zip)
- kernel unpacker(a kernel image and a ramdisk)
- One-click adb(a visualized adb operator)
- kmsg puller
and many little functions that are not listed here!
BUT
THERE HAS A BIG PROBLEM
This project are still in development and in a very early stage,no ETA,no preview screenshot
So I want someone to help me?if you have a kind heart and knows something about C++(MFC) and Android development,you can contact me anytime and that is very welcomed and appreciated!
