Mine heat a bit while gaming. Else its ok. One more thing are you using apps over data or wifi. Coz over 3g/4g data most of the device heats up. So i recommend using wifi. Hope it will help you.

May be Linaro kernel is causing the problem. Did you change any setting of kernel? Try to flash the stock kernel. And use any kernel editor apps and see if the setting of your kernel is ok.

Have you made a nandroid backup through TWRP before flashing linaro Kernel. If yes than you can restore backup and you will have stock kernel. And one more question did you have this issue from the beginning or you did some flashing and tweaking and had this issue?

Sorry Couldn't help you. May be your device have some hardware fault.

After some days of testing the new kernel I decided to share it with everyone,
Now just to make things clear, the disclaimer:
Use it at your own risk, If you are unsure of what you are doing please do not flash this kernel.
As a rule of thumb ALWAYS do a nandroid backup first. I will not be responsible for any damage you may get and
I'm almost sure that flashing this boot image will void your warranty, but if you are reading this forum certainly you already did it.

It's available in two versions for the ROM 2.000.16, 1GHz and 765Mhz.

Features:
Code:
1Ghz
Multitouch (many thanks to Luke Hutchison for all his work and help) [for now, only with Dolphin Browser]
Works very well with clean ROM 2.000.16, installed with acer tool.
Bootloader info is:
Code:
USB FastBoot: V1.00.03
HW version: v0.4
AMSS version: A1-02.01.03
Build Date: Jan 26 2010, 14:29:43
Instructions:
1. Read the disclaimer.
2. Do a nandroid backup.
3. Download and unpack the zip file.
4. Enter bootloader.
5. Do in console/cmd:
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0502 flash boot <boot image name>
fastboot -i 0x0502 reboot
6. Have fun
I didn't posted the unrooted version because when you flash this kernel you will be voiding your warranty (if you already didn't), so doesn't make sense to keep your phone unrooted, unless you really want it.. If thats the case, contact me..
As you may know, this was build from a kernel source that has some bugs on it, so, you may experience some erros.. Didn't found any, but if you find please report..
Dmesg will output some errors, but for now they are armless..
GREAT WORK!
Havn't tested it out yet, gonna do it after tomorrow since I need my phone at work tomorrow.
Is there a noticeable speed-difference when using the 1ghz-version?
Nice work mate!
I'm using the 765Mhz version without any problem. Can anyone tell if the 1GHz causes the phone to overheat?

There is no overheat on the phone but didn't gave it intensive use yet..
On benchmarks it has significant improvement, but the phone normally has no lag, so, there is almost nothing to be noted ..
finally... in front of a computer... gonna try now!!! u da man disc0!
EDIT: everything working great so far loving the multitouch in dolphin!
testing 1ghz settings
It would be really great if we could have SetCPU working with 1ghz enabled to preserve battery life.
EDIT : I've emailed SETCPU's developer to ask him to set something like he did for the Droid (some kind of autodetection).

You can add the information to setcpu.txt with the cpu speeds in the sdcard , but would be great to have support directly from the menu ..

It wont overheat the qsd8X50 was meant to run at 1ghz.
i'm running it at 1ghz no overheating problems at all for now neighter does the battery run out of juice faster, incredibly the opposite is the case it seems to last a bit longer, maybe cause of the optimized kernel

Finally the wait is over. Android 2.3.4 firmware for SGS2 was leaked by ficeto. This reportedly solves the Android OS Battery issue.

XDA Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1159920
Download Link Stock XXKG1 : http://www.multiupload.com/2EMBQMYF4V (via ficeto)
Well I'm installing it right now and will update with initial impressions!
To install via ODIN choose: (Note: This will wipe your Apps but SD Card and Internal Storage Data will remain intact)
Phone - MODEM_I9100XXKG1_REV_02_CL1034110.tar
PDA - CODE_I9100XXKG1_CL349526_REV02_user_low_ship.tar
CSC - GT-I9100-CSC-MULTI-OXAKG1.tar
There's no need to use the .pit file and do not tick mark re-partition.
To Root:
Flash with any CF Root based Kernel
Flash back to Stock KG1 to remove Yellow Triangle
Stock KG1 Kernel Link : http://www.multiupload.com/UNNM2UKPBC (via intratech)
Pass: [email protected]
Edit:
Ok so the Screen On lag is gone when you wake up via Home Button, but still there when you wake up via Power Button.
Google Talk Video support
Android OS eats up considerably less battery.
Will add more changes as I find.

Edit 2:
Well can't say that the Android OS battery hog issue has been totally fixed. Android OS still shows a lot of usage. Android System process on other hand seems to have gotten down.
Battery @ 87% (with Juice Defender running)
Apparently the Android OS Battery issue is a problem caused by Samsungs Drivers which hog the CPU even while the device is in standby mode.

Did you back up your EFS folder before flashing a custom rom on it??
You may very well need to flash a stock rom back on the device. Check your firmware here - http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/

I don't think this problem is software related, this is more hardware related. If all your efforts are failing then you'll have to show it in the service center, cause this is a rare problem

Hello guys.. So i have been using moto g 2014 model for a couple of months now and i have been absolutely liking this phone.. Here is my experience with different roms.. I have tried different roms like cyanogemod 13 and dirty unicorns etc in the marshmallow side and when lineage os 14.1 came out i just switched to it.. It was an awesome rom but i was missing a lot of features that i was getting through xposed and all.. So i started thinking of changing the rom.. And after a couple of hours of research i decided to go with Ressurection remix.. I was very happy with the performance and the battery backup of the rom and then i thought of custom kernel and flashed the deciphier kernel and is working absolutely fantastic with this rom.. The kernel helped me tune the phone the way i wanted and also improoved the performance as well as the battery backup.. I also made a small swap file in so that i can get a little bit more performance out of the phone.. I use Roehsoft ram expander and is working great.. Then also i have installed Substratum and also a theme named art.. Its also working fine for me.. The phone is working absolutely fantastic and without any major bugs... Though, feel free to tell me your suggestions about other roms and kernels as am interested in checking other roms and kernels.. Thankss..
