[Q] GS4 i9505 usb-pc issue after upgrade to JB 4.3

Hello everyone,
I registered and post this thread because i give up with problem i get after upgrade my galaxy s4 i9505 to jelly bean 4.3. Pc dont recognizing phone, usb cable is good because when i connecting the charging icon appears. I checked in other pc (in both there is windows 7), I download the last version of usb drivers from official site, i download the last version of Kies3 and it still no connecting. Before upgrade i havent this issue, i also checked other usb cable (both cables are original). I searching for hour any solution, activate developer options and check "usb debugging", also i wrote *#0808# and check mtp (i also tried other options, no result) or I tried launch vol down + power + home, also dont help. So i give up and now i`m hope some hi-tech wizard will tell where i making mistake...
After hours spending on wasting time with this usb connect i started to think about change soft, but here appears another issue... I havent root, and superuser. That is not a finish of trouble! I noticed that i have recovery 3e with some kind of error "e: signature verification failure" when i trying to flash any other soft or custom recovery! I searching for some tips on web, but in all options i allways impended whatever i try: when i try use Rom Manager there is error i havent su, when i try activate SuperSu there is error i havent root, when i try install CWM by MobileOdin there is error i am not su... when i try other aps like Framaroot there is error #5, also in Rom Manager i have info that my Rom doesnt support OTA, when i try change recovery file in System/bin folder by RootExplorer there is again error "u havent root"! I'll go crazy by this trap!
Anyone have any ideas? Please help me :crying:
PS. English is not my strong side. Sorry.

So... can sombody help me or this issue is too much advanced for this forum?

Can you please try to install this driver to your Pc http://uploaded.net/file/xdloq4jw , connect the cables on both side's Pc/Phone , on the screen to your phone there should be a notification(Connected as a media Device,Swipe it down and click that option, There should be MTP and Camera) Try to tick the camera first and let the driver install it and then tick MTP and let it install the driver for that as well , and Make sure to activate USB debugging. let me know. After download I re-install it, "installation succesfull finished", after that I connect the galaxy s4 with pc by original cable (the charging icon appears but nothing more ). On screenn nothing happens, nothing appears, there is no this notification that u write (only charging in right, top corner).
I checked three times usb debugging, its active. Help me please

Hi there mate , Try plugging it in to another usb port that comes off a motherboard. Don't use the front ports or usb hub. or either download kies 3 from here http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/SW/201312/20131204181418883/Kies3Setup.exeto see if its gonna work or not.have a nice day.

4.3 pc Drivers are different from 4.2.2. Install kies 3.

I see the problems are in Windows 7. The USB Conector seems ok. Untick "usb debugging" in ur phone and take a look this page. If dont appears nothing in the device manager, tell me it and i will give ya other solution
EDIT: Other option is:
- Uninstall completely Kies and Kies 3
- Reboot ur pc
- Download the latest version of Kies 3 (drivers are included, only tc what u select in the installation -> dont untick them)
- Conect ur phone to the pc with the USB conector and wait coz the drivers have to be installed. Till Windows dont finish of install them u dont need touch nothing. Good luck

I'm suprised that three peoples trying to help me, thats charming, thank you.
But...
Repulsa I've done what u wrote, I tried plugging s4 to another usb port, one port usb 2.0 and another usb 3.0, always was the same situation, the charging start coming but nothing more, there is no notification on phone screeon or on the pc. Also I tried do this in second pc, in 3 usb ports, but always was the same. After that I tried that what Repulsa and jaswinsky says, i re-install kies. First I uninstall in both pc kies, and i install the kies 3, I reboot my pc and I reboot my s4. Nothing new happens, only charging. Here i want to turn your attention that, I checked in both pc's my younger brothers Galaxy s2, and it havent any problems with connecting! If I plugging Galaxy s2 in this usb ports in both pc, windows 7 havent any problem to recognize phone! Kies and "My Computer" shows the device memory and its working. When I after that disconect s2 and plug in my s4 the same situation happens. Only charging icon, and nothing appears about connection.
After that i tried that what Joku1981 wrote, I untisck "usb debugging" in developer options and i checked the device manager, but there doesnt appears anything. There is not "other device" warning or anything like that. Charging icon appears but pc dont recognizing s4. I would also like to point out that, yesterday I've done with younger brother the format on one of this pc's with hope that will helps but, we format pc, reinstall windows7, reinstall all drivers, and the situation is still the same.
Please help me!
PS. I'm starting think about that the official OTA update do 4.4 will solve the issue..

Device doesn't connect to PC

Hi everyone,
I see this is an issue that is being extensively talked about but after trying many solutions proposed by many users I am still out of luck, there is no way I can connect my device to a PC. USB debugging is on, USB config is set to MTP, USB drivers are installed.... but still, no luck, won't connect.
This means that I cannot even unlock the bootloader the official way since the phone goes undetected. I am on MIUI 7 Global Stable MALCNDE and I cannot upgrade to MIUI 8.... because if I reboot to stock recovery from Updater, the phone will reboot to a fancy diagram advising me to plug in a USB cable. Also, if I try to reboot to recovery by holding power/vol +, the phone boots in some terrifying recovery in chinese, with only four options that are translated. One of them is recovery and if I click on it.... I get that fancy looking diagram.
So please, any advice on this would be much appreciated.

Phone not detected by PC in adb/fastboot mode

Hi, I have strange problem with my OP2. Since some time when I connect my OP2 to PC it's only connected in charging mode. I've tried different methods to solve it: tried different cables, tried different computer, event wiped data & cache but nothing seems to work. It seems that it might have something with OOS 3.1 or eventually there is some hardware issue with my phone. Currently I'm on stock OOS 3.1 without root and on stock recovery. Is there any way to root my phone without possibility to connect it to PC in ADB/Fastboot mode? Or what else can I try to make phone to connect to PC in different mode than charging?

Try reinstall USB drivers

Reinstalled and still same situation. Phone only connects in charging mode and is not detected at all in device manager.

Connect your device in fastboot mode to your pc and go to device manager in your pc you will see a device listed as Kedacom USB device. Uninstall and delete the driver. Remove your device and connect it again.

Doesn't help. Even in fastboot mode phone is not listed in device manager.

Phone should be listed as Kedacom USB device.

same problem with me...i have recently updated my phone.... os 3.1.0 ...but not working with adb....after opening command prompt ...left process of adb not working

Make sure you check your device in device manager. It should be listed as Kedacom USB device uninstall and delete the driver.

Which version of windows u r using ?

I've tried on windows 10 64 bit & windows 7 64 bit.

No I haven't found anything new. After update to 3.5.5 still same situation. I think this is some kind of hardware malfunction. Have you ever used charging cable other than shipped with phone? I think maybe using other cable damaged something with usb port in phone...

My phone is Xiaomi. My phone recently have been infected by viruses that destroyed some important apps like: Play Store, Google Play Services and etc. I turned it off and then, wiped all data of it. The first configuration is actually broken in the step "Connect in the MI Account", so i tried use fastboot to activate USB Debug and define home as the default and press home button through ADB. But in the first step... My computer not found it.
My Xiaomi is Redmi-2014819. I need a answer most fast possible.

Lg G6 with the same issues. Fast charge went crazy and think this has blown something inside. Only normal charging works.
No ADB, fastboot, download mode. Can't even connect to laptop or Mac to transfer files.
Had charger replaced but it's the phone I think.
Gonna replace charge port but don't think this will fix issue.
Anyone had any luck?

A7 2016 not recognizing any usb device after Nougat Update

After updating to nougat my PC used to recognize my A7
But after 2 days I received a second 17mb update , After installing this update my PC was unable to recognize the Phone.
I tried reinstalling all drivers , Tried several working USB Cables but no success.
whenever I connect my phone to computer , the phone just charges , my pc doesn't recognize it.
I tried turning on The MTP option in developer options , still no luck.
I checked if the phone is getting reconized in download mode by odin and the phone wasn't recognized.
Please Help

I really hope you found a solution. Ive been looking an answer for this annoying problem for 6 months!
Ive read almost 50 threads in differents forums about this problem but no solution at all.
- Tried changing charging port. Cost me a few dollars but no solution.
- Tried USB debugging on and off from developers menu.
- Did MTP+ADB option in *#*#0808#* menu.
- Turned Low Battery Dump "on" in *#*#0808#* menu.
- Tried 10 or more different original Samsung cables.
- Upgraded PC USB drivers.
None of them worked for me.
Hope you have made a progress.

Samsung A5 (A-510M) PC does not recognize "failed to find /misc partition"

First of all, excuse me, I'm using a translator because my English is not very good. I was using a custom rom and wanted to back to stock so I flashed the correct firmware for my model (A-510M ARO NOUGAT) via ODIN. The process ended and had no errors. When I turned on the phone and connected it to my pc and it does not recognize it, it only charges the battery. I tried to format from the recovery and it shows the message "failed to find / misc partition"
- I tried with other USB cables.
- I tested it with other USB ports.
- I've updated Samsung drivers.
- I tried the secret menu and it does not work.
- does not recognize the download mode either
- I can not use ODIN to reinstall the firmware.
- Samsung Kies does not recognize the phone.
- Does not recognize ADB mode
The truth is that I am desperate and I do not know what to do. I can not reinstall the firmware if the PC does not recognize it. If anyone knows a possible solution I am very grateful.

i came across your situation long ago. it is the pc that doesn't recognize your phone. try with different pc. also you can try to format using settings>backup & reset menu. I ended up resetting my pc in order to recognize my phone.

Hi! I tried but is not working. I discover a new problem: when i connect the USB cable the phone shows me a message: "the battery temperature is very low. Charge stopped". Could be another the problem?

I have similar problem but i did nothing like rom flashing. One day, the pc just don't recognise the phone, even in download mode. I tried differents pc, differents cables and ports...nothing. i tried *#0808#, drivers reinstallation, nothing... when i connect the phone, the pc display "unknown device code 43" and the phone just get charging. OTG doesn't work

I have a similar problem...I downloaded the correct firm ware...restart the phone hard restate the phone but I still get error failed to find misc/partion...please help me...and it stays in ftp lock

No worries. We don't have misc partition so it's normal.
FRP lock won't reset on firmware flash. You need to enter your google account on boot.
To disable frp lock before factory reset next time, either remove your google account from your phone, or disable screen lock before reset.

You can't flash new firmware from download mode if you are in frp lock.
