Does anyone know how to get my lockscreen subscriptions to work?
I did a factory reset (again), to change my region to hw/eu (again, lol), but now I have no more subscriptions in my lockscreen settings. I've tried looking for updates too, to no avail.
When I changed my region to hw/meafnaf a while ago, I checked my lockscreen subscriptions, and it was empty, but after about 30 minutes, the 4 subscription topics (cars, lifestyle, etc) appeared. I also got an update for them, but now it's been two days, and I have still not received any updates.

Just as an update, I changed my region back to hw/meafnaf, and my lockscreen subscriptions are back.
I'll have to do some digging to check what is it that prevents the subscriptions in the hw/eu files.

how did you change your region? I've been trying to change my region to turkey or asia so i can get the 6.0 marshmellow update...

Unfortunately, you won't be able to get the marshmallow update, not even by changing regions. The only way you'll be able to get the update is by paying for a bootloader unlock code for the oeminfo file you'll change to, and to be honest, it just really isn't worth it, IMO.

Are you rooted? Delete the string "ro.config.hw_slideshow = 1" from the local.prop file in cust / xxx / xx / prop
Also, which firmware are you using? If I recall correctly, the HMS folder is in the hw/meafnaf/xml folder. That needs to be copied to your cust folder, and set the correct permissions. Then restart. I'm speaking from memory, so you might have to factory reset to enable the Gmail lockscreen notifications, if they don't show on the lockscreen after restarting.

I bought an international GT-I9500 (Factory unlocked) from Amazon lately.
Right as I opened the box, I have flashed CM 11, without backing up the stock firmware.
Everything's working fine, but when I put my sim card inside, the following screen came up:

Flash back to stock with odin and look in the service menu...then you can see if its locked...

The allowed countries should be printed on the original box.

After using 2 days of reading and learning, I`ve got the latest firmware (23.0.1.A.3.12) from Taiwan rooted and with recovery working flawless.
And when "I" is beeing mentioned, ALL credits goes to: DooMLorD, [NUT], Phil3759, bin4ry, geohot and several others!

I got mine in NY, standard factory unlocked.
started using it in Israel and been ever since, and i got an update for this firmware OTA.

I think this update just to fix some issues of mobile signal of Taiwan's carriers, and some bloatware. I compared files' size in both of 167 and 3.12 firmware, seem nothing is changed.

no major update, its only a small carrier update.
Has anybody successfully rooted using this? Feel like there should be a bit more fanfare.....
Title says it all. Just asking if there are any nougat updates as i've found three but all of them said that it's incompatible and download the correct package.

I updated to B329 last night. I used Firmware Finder, and installed the latest file from 03/05/2017, and everything went smoothly. I updated from B125 though.
When using the Firmware Finder proxy method, make sure to turn OFF "See packages from current region". This is important, otherwise you'll end up with NRD90M test-keys. Good luck, and I hope it works for you. This is done at your own risk though.

No, you do not need to be rooted.

I never had that problem, so unfortunately I can't help you with that. It could be Firmware Finder that is causing that.

I think you should install the full package update... Try it.. It happened with me and now all 100% perfect
I had this too with my C636 version when trying to swap from standard to developer version. Just selected standard full version and it was fine. Would still like to get on the developer versions if anyone kno9ws how using firmware finder and Hisuit?

There is no such firmware for P10 Plus yet??
Firmware finder, using the proxy DNS and connected by USB to HI Suite. Once you get HI Suite to see the full firmware on your PC, there is an option to switch to 'other firmware' and on that page you can see older versions or the developer version of B151 as well as the B131 and B124 versions if you wanted to go back. However every time I tried to switch to the developer version it fails. But it must be there and available or HI Suite would not see it or allow you to download it. So it wont be long before this is active and hopefully this will allow you to get the intermediate updates as I used to on earlier Huawei models.
My CHC/TGY/BRI SM-N9860 is upgrading to Android 11 right now!

how did you get network speed? i found one app but it was on the left
On CHC ROM you need to install Play Market once, and any other google app through it if needed.
Network indicator is enabled in the settings - CHC has this and a native call recording enabled (this is why I prefer this ROM).

Sure, please use ApkPure to download and install Google Play. Next - install whatever you want in the Play.
But note - I have problem with Android Auto under Android 11 now. So I would not recommend to upgrade (until resolved).

but why maybe china rom doesnt have hebrew? and push notifications are slower i heard. Also who knows what hidden apps china govt puts.
and what go back to tgy after when chc doesnt get an update?

Yeah looking to buy this phone in China. Trying to see if I can use HK or Taiwan firmware with it instead because I don't want the Chinese gov't in my phone and they definitely got you in their system with their version.
