hi firends
How do I know that my phone (legend) is rooted or not?
what are Symptoms for a rooted phone?
Enable usb debugging, install driver, open cmd, type adb shell and press enter. Then type su and if you get this # you are using a rooted rom. If it says access denied you are not.

If you haven't even installed ADB I don't know how you would think your phone is rooted? Did you buy it used?
Anyways. Download this ADB. Unzip to c: and run adb.exe shell from a cmd in c:\android-sdk-windows\tools
But make sure you install the driver first.
Go to Settings, Programs, Development and Tick Off "USB Debugging". Then when you connect your device to your computer it ask for a driver. It can be located in the android-sdk-windows folder under usb_driver.
thanks Liquid211 very much!

I have no such folder under "android-sdk-windows". I only see "add-ons", "platform" and "tools"...
just try a app that needs root rights.
for example many screenshot apps need su.
another way would be to look if u ve got the superuser app in ur app menu.
and ofcause a terminal like program could help to indicate if uve got root rights.
Simply download a terminal emulator from market and type 'su'...

ok, I've decided to make my own theme, there's a lot of work to do since really I have no so much skills for photoshop and stuff, but this is my first try!!!
for this first release it just have a few changes, the style will be orange themed, for now only this:
Wifi at all states
Battery at normal, charging and unknow state
Unlock halo and Unlock ring are now an orange hexagon (inspired by HC you know)
And I hope daily there will be new changes.
NOTE: I'm not shure how to make an update.zip for our CWM, so, if there is someone can explain how to make one, I will be grateful.
For now just unrar rar file and put framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk and installtheme.sh on /sdcard
open cmd and type this commands:
adb shell
su
cd /sdcard
sh installtheme.sh

BTW: the right is "cd(space)/sdcard
Download Flashtool and libusbx 1.0.14
Uncompress libusbx log into su and type this command
Code:
# ./configure
Now type this command
Code:
# make -B
Finally type this command
Code:
# make install -B
Congrats you have installed libusbx 1.0.14 :victory:
Now we have to add these rules but first connect your phone and type this command
Code:
lsusb

In my case is: Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0fce:615d Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB
Now grab this value
Code:
Bus 00x Device 00x: ID 0fce:[B]xxxx[/B] Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB
Finally we just add these rules at /etc/udev
Code:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ACTION=="add", SYSFS{idVendor}=="0fce", SYSFS{idProduct}=="[B]xxxx[/B]", MODE="0777"
Name the rules as 51-flashtool.rules
Uncompress Flashtool and run it as root
Credits go to Bin4ry & Androxyde
I was having some problems in back track but now its working thanks a lot!

in which dream did u see the make command working ? libusbx is missing.. to install it u need the dependaries first. after installing the dependaries it sais that automake command is missing. after installing automake it says that automake version is 1.13 and we need .1.13.4.
so libusbx cant be installed so flashtool is not working. reported from ubuntu 13.10. maybe u are on some very old ubuntu version ? i cant explain it in an other way....
Confused
I can't seem to understand ANY tutorial on this. Do we add the properties to 51-flashtool or 99-android? and what do I click on to run flashtool? I don't see anything executable in the folder
hi
could u tell me how to this part?? im new to ubuntu. searched but confused
inally we just add these rules at /etc/udev
Code:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ACTION=="add", SYSFS{idVendor}=="0fce", SYSFS{idProduct}=="xxxx", MODE="0777"
i cant figure how to add the line in etc/udev

Boot up normally. Make sure you have enabled debugging. If you haven't, follow the guide here.
After that download ADB:
USB drivers required;
ADB interface.
Install the drivers and ADB. You can find ADB in your Start Menu or you can open CMD and cd to c:\adb
When you connect your phone to the computer in your CMD window type adb shell. You may get a security prompt on your phone to allow or deny. Tap on allow or similar.
Retype adb shell if needed and you should see:
{

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If good type "settings get secure android_id".
Ask if you get stuck anywhere.
Thanks for all your help! It´s working now. This suggested adb drivers are older than mine and working. Strange
I have seen this topic discussed before HERE on post #726. However, the described method has not worked for me. I am trying to create a Windows 8.1 Tile for Popcorn Time using OblyTile. Whenever I try to enter Popcorn Time's "Program Path" into OblyTile and run it, it opens up the "Node Webkit" program in what looks to be a browser page. I've tried to create a .bat file and run that through OblyTile in order to open Popcorn time but that does not work either.
The .bat file is as follows:
@echo off
cd /d %~dp0
cd /d ..
Start "" "node-webkit\popcorn time.exe" App
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
The Popcorn Time .exe file is located at this target
"C:\Users\Brandon\AppData\Local\Popcorn Time\node-webkit\Popcorn Time.exe"
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I could create a Popcorn Time Tile with OblyTile and get it to work on the Windows 8.1 Start Screen?
Here's a screenshot showing what I have:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",

Problem Solved
The issue was my batch file. I changed it to this and it now works:
Code:
@echo off
cd /d %~dp0
cd /d ..
Start "" "node-webkit\popcorn time.exe" . App
