ED300 CM13.0 Build 2 compatibility with K30-T? - Lenovo A6000/Plus Questions & Answers

Hi guys
Does anybody know is ED300 CM13.0 Build 2 still compatible with Lenovo K30-T? I tried to flash it few times but it stuck on Verifying the updated system image... step.
I really enjoyed first build of this rom but there were few annoying bugs that I hope was fixed in build 2.

I managed to install your ROM
Issue was caused by size of system image. K30-t have only 1484M and unpaked image was about 1,9 GB. so I resized image and now it working
One thing I suffer from left. Each time when I'm trying to remove app device reboots. This happens for me in first build too.

Nevermind, I figured out with this bug. Issue was in old radio firmware that prevented normal initialization of android's security service

[Q] error excecuting updater binary in zip with twrp

hi guys when I try to flash a rom appears the message "error excecuting updater binary in zip" someone know how to solve it?
Sorry for my bad english
Your English is fine. Check to make sure there are no spaces in the file name, and if there are, replace them with dashes or underscores. Then try running the zip again.

there is no space in the name :\ maybe can be a problem of the recovery's version ?
I mentioned it because the presence of spaces was the reason my copy of Optimized CM12 failed to install. What version of TWRP are you running?
2.8.5.0
Upgrade. 2.8.6.0 is available from the TWRP homepage (once the page comes back up), though I believe a customized copy is available for Alucard and Antares One's Optimized CM12 build in I9505 Original Android Development.
EDIT: 2,8.6.0 can be downloaded from here.
AntaresOne's TWRP will convert the system to F2FS automatically when flashing a rom. He said he was going to make it a choice in a future update. Don't know if he gotten around doing so.

This problem started when I tried to flash cyano 12 based on 5.1.1 (by AntaresOne) before doing this everything was fine. Maybe the recovery couldn't convert system to F2FS, can be this?

It doesn't necessarily needs to be converted. It can run with the default ext4 too. Problem with converting is that it will wipe your internal storage. So that into account.
I had the binary updater issue occur on a flashable zip I made. The cause? I accidentally deleted the line that told TWRP to mount the system partition. Restoring the line solved the issue, so check the script. The developer may have accidentally missed a line.
thank you guys I upgraded the recovery and now it works fine thank you very much

Latest RR 5.8.2 issue

Hello X D I A N S
An update for Resurrection Remix was released few days back for athene and almost all users phone doesn't boots up due to a bootloader error....
Basically it got screwed up because of Magisk inside perhaps...
Requesting users to provide there solutions in this space!
Thanks
Remove magisk from the zip. :maybe:
Yes, Remove the Magisk folder from the rom zip & then flash the zip. If you want root then flash SuperSUv2.79sr3. It's stated in the OP as well in BIG BOLD RED LETTERS here
Apps FC
Hello. With the RR ROM starting from the 9/3/17 version, many programs will ask for permission on every restart. And many of them will FC then. Even for the older and first RR version I tried (3/3/17) this happens with file explorer apps. Even doing a full wipe doesn't help.
After the ROM, I'm always flashing the Pico GApps and the EX Kernel (now 1.04).
You should have read the op before doing anything unnecessary. Anyways there are two fixes for this
Fix number 1 -
1. Download the file
2. Open the zip file and delete the magisk folder(I recommend doing it via computer)
3. Flash the new zip.
Fix number 2 -
1. Flash elementalx kernal 1.04 version (the one for the lineage is 7.1.x)
2. Flash the new ROM
Enjoy. Hit thanks if it helped.
Does anyone have the problem while calling that the volume does not lower down...??

Thanks for the suggestion. But this doesn't solve the problem. The latest version from yesterday doesn't have the Magisk folder.

@Sharp404
If not, then can you put your phone in fastboot/bootloader mode? And if that error still shows up on the bootloader when you choose START, you will have to flash stock Nougat to recover the device. A similar problem was faced by some guy.

I've been using RR for a long time but never had any force close, I'm using the stock kernel that comes with RR(3/17). Actually never had any FC on any custom rom
Try a clean flash.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ?
Thank you guys. I've found out what caused the FCs. I installed a zip file for granting the moto camera permissions to save on the SD card. I've used this fix: forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/fix-extsd-fix-v1-0b-2016-01-18-t3296266 ,which was working, but isn't made for Nougat. I guess that it made too many changes and screwed up the OS.
Somehow then I couldn't find the com.motorola.cameraone package in the data/system/packages.xml file. But after the last reflesh of the OS and of the stock N moto cam, I found the permission section for the moto camera app, and added: <item name="android.permission.WRITE_MEDIA_STORAGE" granted="true" flags="0" />
Now, only the browser crashes and the old Google camera app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera ) on video recording, but that's ok.
Microphone problem
Hello. I have a problem with my moto G4 Plus on the latest RR ROM (with 1.04 LOS): the microphone gain resets after a reboot to -9db, despite checking for example to set 3dB at the startup.
Does anyone has an idea how to solve this, besides setting the gain after every reboot manually in the Kernel manager?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have already solved the problem of the crashing apps.
But now I have the problem that with the EX Kernel 1.04 LOS, my microphone gain is reset to -9dB after restarting the phone (See my previous post). Does anyone have an idea how this can be solved?
Does anyone having fast charging issue after installing latest build because i am suffering from fast charging issue.

ZE500KL (Z00ED) Soft-bricked... (bootlooping on Asus logo, doesnt even show ROM logo)

Hello...
So, me, a dumbass, decided to try to encrypt the phone while it was rooted... Everything went wrong, and on the first reboot it started rebooting non-stop(on the Asus logo)... I left it for some time but nothing changed.
I tried restoring a backup(system, data and boot), stays the same, tried restoring stock boot and reflashing the rom(ResurrectionRemix) but nothing changed. How do I solve this?
(Note that I have a backup of all stock ROM partitons, except the recovery)

Flash stock ROM
You can find stock rom (firmware) on ASUS website support page
Make sure you have your stock recovery installed too, and restore your rom

I solved by flashing stock ROM with Asus Flash Tool:
ASUS Drivers: https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-2-Laser-ZE500KL/HelpDesk_Download/ - Select Android OS, then go to "USB" and download the drivers
Website (tutorial on how to use it is linked there): http://www.asus-zenfone.com/2017/03/download-asus-flashtool-10045-for-zenfone-3.html
RAW firmware files: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ze...0a-z00d-z00x-raw-fw-collection-t3448966/page3
In case you don't want to check both RAW files, I posted here the versions of each firmware:
First link: WW_ZE500KL_V12.8.5.222_M3.6.42_Phone-user (Lollipop)
Second link: WW_ZE500KL_13.10.10.44_M3.6.51_Phone-user (Marshmallow)
If you get confused when you need to select the RAW file, go to the extracted folder and there will be it. (I got confused because the folder by itself was named .raw lol)... Also, don't delete any file, as you probably will need them one time later
