Hi guys, I have a lenovo a6000 single sim with kitkat. But i could not get any signal. My baseband and IMEI is fine. They're both showing. I guess I just need to switch carrier. When I dial ####6020#, all i get is Czech, Romania, Saudi_Arabia, Turkey, UAE and Egypt. I am looking for Philippines. I have found an OTA zip but it would not work, I think it's just for Lollipop. Could anybody teach me how to switch carriers for Kitkat?

Try this stock rom.
How to Flash
Step 1: Download and extract the stock firmware on your computer.
Step 2: After extracting you will find the Firmware, Driver and instruction manual.
Step 3: Install the USB Drivers (skip if drivers are already installed).
Step 4: Follow the instruction manual to flash the firmware on your smartphone.

Hi
I have an galaxy s4 (GT-I9505) from Australia, its not locked but it has Vodafone apps installed. I want to install the official 4.4.2 firmware from another country seeing as im still on 4.3 here. now i have found a site and was wanting to use the Philippines – Open Line firmware. but im new to flashing so my question is after i install the firmware will everything work like WiFi,4G and Vodafone AU network.
If someone could help it would be appreciated and im sorry if theses are stupid questions like i said im new to all this.
Easy, you can flash whichever country firmware , as long as you got your model correctly.
Everything on your phone, as you mentioned Wi-Fi, 4G and network will remain same.
But you may wanna do some backup first, clean flash always recommended in order to prevent any possible problems.
But one more thing you must be aware of, is that if you choose to flash, you will lose your warranty as well!
im not to worried about the warranty but. theres are the steps the guide says to take
Tutorial
Step 1: Download the firmware package (Philippines – Globe, Philippines – Sun Cellular, Philippines – Open Line, Philippines – Smart and Malaysia) and extract the zip file.
Step 2: Download Odin v3.09, and extract the zip file.
Step 3: Run Odin3 v3.09 as an Administrator.
Step 3: Restart the Galaxy S4 and put it in Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons.
Step 4: Connect the Galaxy S4 to the computer via the USB cable and wait until a blue sign appears in Odin.
Step 5: Click on the AP button in Odin and select the .tar.md5 file that was extracted in Step 1.
Step 6: In Odin, ensure that the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options are checked, and not the re-partition check box.
Step 7: Click on the Start button in Odin to begin the installation process.
Step 8: After the installation is complete, the device will restart automatically.
Step 9: Once you get the Samsung logo on the home screen, you can unplug the device from the computer and close Odin.
That is all you have to do. The Galaxy S4 LTE should now be running on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat XXUFNBE.
I Have downloaded Philippines – Open Line firmware and the guide is for the GT-I9505. would this work for me and how to i do a clean install
ok so i finally decided to flash the firmware and everything went great now im on 4.4.2. now im looking to root so i can install the S5 Weather apks, can someone show me an easy guide to root 4.4.2 on the GT-I9505 also is it easy to remove it
Hello Guys,
I was wondering if you can help me out clarifing a few things about flashing roms in .kdz format.
So i was on Cloudy 2.2 and had a lot of issues and then i decided to revert to stock. I followed the hyelton thread and did the TOT method. Now i have the phone on 4.2.2 working fine. At this moment i want to upgrade to 4.4.2 or 5.0 but when i check for updates i get the information that i'm on the latest SO. So my questions are:
1. How can i force update to 4.2.2 or even 5.0 without rooting? I tried to find the TOT file of a lolipop rom to flash via tool but can't find any.
2. I tryed to flash a .kdz lolipop rom via LG Tool (i extracted the dll and DZ) but i get an previousLoad error... so any suggestions?
3. The last case i could go back on rooting and put a custom recovery and then put the lolipop, but to achieve this, from 4.2.2 wich steps should i follow?
I'm asking this here because i saw multiple threads and discussions but can't get the right ways to do what i want.
Thank you very much.
Cheers
Note: The version is d802, portugal.
Well guys, after much nerves and errors.. here are my conclusions
1. If you want to use Lg Flash tool and flash a stock rom with .kdz extension, you need to put the rom file in the tool folder then run the tool with admin prev. Then select the file and press cse flash. You'll get an error on connecting to servers probably (i got one). Ignore it, but DON'T click on nothing.. the process is still runing, so even with error, just wait... you'll see your phone doing some progress. After a while it will reboot and VOILA
2. About TOT file, i just went with the kdz method.
3. To get the right KDZ file use thiss repo: http://devtester.ro/projects/lg-firmwares/
then you can put your imei and get the rom or just find a rom that fits you.
4. To get the lattest Lg Tool go here: http://lgflashtool.com/
Notes:
. Keep in mind that the .kdz files are big (>1,6gb) so make sure the download is not interupted, use a download manager or firefox. If its corrupted you'll have problems.
. All the files and sites are not mine, i'm just mentioning them.
Now running stock lolipop with no prob.
Cheers
I have s5 900F and i've installed sixperience rom and now i want to downgrade it to stock rom, Im in india and had purchased this phone from Hong Kong, dont have any idea about which frimware should i install.. I can flash the rom but please help me with the url about which firmware to install..
Thanks please respond as soon as possible
Device is facing network problem
Are you sure that you are running the G900F, make sure to boot into download mode to find the proper phone model.
Then find the latest firmware from sam mobile that supports your aforementioned phone number found on the download mode.
Download Odin, and flash away. Does not really matter what android version, just make sure your phone model number matches.
Reboot your phone and make sure to do a clear of cache and data wipe, just to avoid those bootloops.
My friend overseas recently got the new Galaxy A5 (SM-A5100) from China and asked me for some help rooting her device and installing the google play store.
Unfortunately I've never used any Android devices before so this is a whole "first timer" situation and would gladly like some help in understanding the best and least risky process for rooting this device.
This is more or less what I know at this point after hours of searching online:
1) CF-Auto-Root is probably the easiest tool for someone with no experience rooting.
2) Unfortunately a CF-Auto-Root for this model has not been made yet.
3) The boot and recover images from the firmware are required to make the CF-Auto-Root.
I think I found the version of the firmware from samsung-firmware.org and have extracted the image files. Hopefully this source is credible. I'll upload the files later using mega if that's fine?
[NOTE: so apparently I can't post links yet since this is my first post, welp. Will update later or try to PM it instead if that works.]
Here's the information that I have from my friend's device:
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016)
Model#: SM-A5100
Android Version: 5.1.1
Baseband version: A5100ZCU1AOL5
Kernel version: 3.10.49-6418683 (Mon Dec 14 18:59:12 KST 2015)
Build#: LMY47X.A5100ZCU1AOL5
And here's the information about the firmware I have according to the download page mentioned earlier:
Phone: Samsung Galaxy A5
Model: SM-A5100
PDA Version: A5100ZCU1AOL5
CSC Version: A5100CHC1AOL5
PHONE Version: A5100ZCU1AOL5
Region: CHC
Country: China (Open China)
Build Date: 14.12.2015
Changelist: 6418683
OS: Lollipop
OS Version: 5.1.1
Is there any other information I need to get to request the CF-Auto-Root and how/where might I find it? Or am I completely going about this the wrong way?
Thanks in advance!
You can try the kingroot app. http://www.kingroot.net/wap
You can indeed try kingroot, just tried it without luck..
Any luck? I just got my A5 (2016) and I desperately need to root!

CF Root does not support SM-A5100 as of the moment same with King Root. However if your sole purpose of rooting the device is to install Google services on it , then there is no need.
A5 2016 has many version and varies depending on the country it is being released . The SM-A5100 phone kit is the A5 2016 version release for Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR.
Since your friend purchased the phone from Mainland China, the Phone will be configured without Google in it as Google Services are not allowed at that Country. The good thing is that you don't need to root the Phone in order to install Google Services . All you need to do is download a Stock Samsung Firmware for SM-A5100 that is configured for HKG.
Take note, you need to flash the stock Firmware configured for HKG and not for Mainland China. I can see from your post that you have downloaded the Firmware for Mainland China?
These are the things you need :
1. Stock Firmware for SM-A5100 configured for HKG SAR
2. Samsung USB Drivers
3. ODIN Flash Tool
I assume that you already know how to flash a Samsung devise using the ODIN Flash tool , if not here are the basis steps
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin
Extract Odin ZIP file
Run Odin
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect the phone and wait Odin detects it.
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA , insure re-partition option is NOT ticked
Click the start button and wait for the process to finish .
This should work as I have gone thru the same process .
All the best

I'm not responsible for you doing something wrong...
Make sure you download the correct stuff...
Warranty WILL void during flashing (samsung KNOX will get triggered :/ )
Needed:
1. Download odin on pc
2. Get the latest twrp recovery (or cwm) for that specific device
3. Download the universal root package down below (this package can be used for any device and will install supersu itself...)
Process:
1. Copy the supersu update zip package to your phone's storage
2. Enter download/odin mode
3. Startup odin and connect your phone to your pc (I recommend using the original usb cable you got with the device ?)
4. You should see a text in the odin log saying "added"
5. Add the twrp package in the AP slot in odin
6. Go to options in odin and deselect auto reboot
7. Hit start
8. It should start and on your phone you should see downloading
9. When done immediately reboot your phone into recovery (or your phone will delete twrp and replace it with the original again... thanks samsung ?)
10. Click install and search for the supersu package (INSTALL IT) (DON'T LET TWRP ROOT YOUR DEVICE)
11. After installing reboot system and you are done

Please I have a Samsung A5 2016 with Chinese mainland firmware but with Android 6.0.1 Will this method still work?? ?
I just puchased a yotaPhone 2 and as all of us know there is no native update button in phone ,i downloaded firmware through yotaflasher but cannot find it in my PC and showing error ..where to download the firmware from and where to place it for flashing the firmware, can anyone please provide me detail instructions on how to flash lollipop on this phone . thanks in advance!
Yotaflasher should take care of all that, it stores firmware in the firmware sub folder. There is no need to look at anything. Just select download zip, then select flash in yotaflasher.
Try repeating it.
For detailed instructions, plz read the other posts on this Yotaphone group .
Also don't forget too put your phone in download mode! And make sure windows finds the drivers for the phone or you'll be really frustrated!
hi,i tried to upgrade to Lolipop but now i'm stuck.Using adb devices finds my device connected but when i write adb sideload <filename.zip> does nothing and after a while i get the message in my phone E:footer is wrong E:signature verification failed.
I have tried with 4 different firmwares ..same result.Any ideas please? i'm stuck in the Android system recovery and can't do anything with the phone.
Don't sideload the zips from the yota ftp - they can't be flashed like that.
Instead use yotaflasher. If needed delete the folder where yotaflasher is installed on your PC, then reinstall it again.
In YotaFlasher download latest RU firmware, put the phone in download mode ( power+ volume down) and start flashing.

- I bought YD206 CN firmware(4.4.4) and downloaded the latest firmware(5.0) under CN directory of YOTA firmwares and successfully installed it using Yotaflasher.
- After upgrading, model number reflects YD201 and the build number - LRX21M.5.0.0-HK1.1.124d
My question is can I flash the latest RU build on the firmware mentioned above?
Thanks in advance.
You need to flash RU 124 and then update with OTA to RU 134.
So in conclusion If I have HK 2006 phone Is better to upgrade to 5.0.0-HK1.1.66.zip and after that need to flash again if I want EU or RU version, never do that directly because would be problems.
I yotaflashed yd206 from HK 4.4.4 kitkat to latest Russian kit kat, then did an OTA to get the latest Russian lollipop firmware. No problems, but there is a long wait at the yotaphone animation for 5 minutes after lollipop upgrade.
I had no problems with radio (frequency bands) on newly configured Yd201 but I live in Asia.

So you say is better to upgrade the firmware from HK 4.4 to RU 4.4 and then i flash the firmware again with 5.-.-0?
No, only 1 flash is required using my method, HK4.4 -> RU4.4
You can then update RU4.4 kitkat -> RU1.1.124 lollipop by OTA (Over The Air) because it can then be updated directly in the phone settings. This OTA must be done anyway in order to get to latest RU version.
The size of the OTA is 1GB, a huge download. During the first boot up of the lollipop, there is a very very long wait for lollipop to start for the first time, where it updates all your apps to new lollipop format. Be patient at the yotaphone animation during first lollipop boot up.
I'm not saying my method is better, I only use this method because I read here that a few people had problems flashing directly from HK 4.4 -> RU 5.0 But Many people have successfully flashed direct from HK4.4 -> RU1.1.124
