Help Me Please :( Bricked S7 edge rooted oem unlock turned off - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Lets get this out of the way I am an Idiot.I had a rooted s7 edge working absolutely fine then i got cocky......i wanted software updates so i decided to unbrick it guess what it didnt work. Then it got worse i turned off OEM unlocking (Im a noob to this) and restarted the phone and it never turned on again i can get into download mode but i dont know if i can flash it with odin when oem is turned off (Im F####D) Smart switch doesnt recognise it (root) and flashing with ODIN fails halfway trough.OOh boy it gets worse....i decided to send it to my carrier for repairs (keep in mind i have 24 months of warrinty) and guess what they didnt fix it and decided to send me a note for repairs Total cost 350 dollars USD (Its an international version) right on my birthday which is today.......Any help is apriciated guys .................UPDATE i flashed stock firware with odin 3.11 and my G-935F is Working amazing

I think that if you can get in download mode its not hard bricked. Just try changing usb cable usb port. There lots of things that can affect bad flash in odin.

had the same issue.
If you can access the download mode go into it.
then download the stock fireware. I used this.
Flash it with odin and follow the guide.
After that your phone should boot normally and you will be greeted with the setup screen just like from a new device.
Hope this helped you.

What they've all said. I did this, easy fix. Just make sure you're flashing stock firmware, doesn't matter what CSC

Samsung Galaxy A8 (A-800I) Stuck on Logo Screen with red Custom Binary blocked by FRP

Hello all!
First of all i want to thank this site (and the people behind it) that makes everything android possible.
I feel privileged to be a member of this forum specially on rough times like what i am facing right now.
I rooted my Galaxy A8-A800i the other day and everything went great. I followed the instructions that i found here. Unfortunately, yesterday i turned off the OEM Unlock on my phone. Now, as the thread title says it. it is stuck on the Logo Screen with the annoying " Custom Binary blocked by FRP Lock ". i read a guide that ashyx made and i felt stupid. I didn't know that turning the OEM Unlock will do that to my Phone.
Right now, I am digging deep on this forums to try and revive my phone that is currently in Brick state.
i am downloading a firmware from sammobile for my phone, the problem i have is... i don't know how to use it. I don't know much about my phone but I do want to learn a lot and i know that this is the right place. I would like to ask assistance on how to use the firmware that I am downloading right now, and also, can i make the Knox Counter go "0" again?
Thanks for everything guys. I highly appreciate everything i've learned here so far.

Thank you!... i downloaded the stock firmware from sammobile. but whenever i extract it there's a rar message saying it is corrupted so i DLed a new one, it has the same result. I haven't tried using it to fix my phone but i will try right now. Ill give an update on how it goes.
Tried flashing the new firmware but Odin can't detect my phone. i have the latest Driver for SAMSUNG and i have the latest Odin. I tried restarting my phone and my computer several times but it still fails. i am really frustrated and our of options right now. Even if Odin detects my phone there's no guarantee that the stock firmware will be installed properly since it always shows corrupt when i extract it from zip

Install the Samsung drivers first, reboot your pc.
Start odin in Admin mode then put your device in download mode, plug in the usb cable. Your device should be detected.
Don't try flashing a corrupt firmware, it will be rejected anyway as it will fail the md5 check.
I suggest you use a different browser to download.
@ashyx hey! thanks for all your help. my internet went offline while i was trying to respond to the other thread. my phone is now fixed with your help. Thank you so much! only took 3 mins for the while Odin flashing to complete
This issue is now FIXED

G530T1 soft-bricked, attempting to fix

Okay, I got this phone recently and I rooted yesterday using kingoroot, I messed with a few things and restarted and BAM it's stuck on the metro PCS boot screen.
Now I've been following this guide: http: // appslova. com/tutorial-recover-soft-bricked-android/ (delete spaces) to try and fix it. I've downloaded the right ROM and custom recovery and everything(I'm pretty sure), but I'm stuck on the step recognizing the device, using "fastboot devices". I realized that my phone does not go to the bootloader menu but rather it's stuck on a screen that says ODIN MODE and info about my device, and in the middle it just says Downloading... Do not turn off target. I simply cannot figure out how to bypass this. I'm a noob when it comes to this type of thing, but I just want to fix my phone. Any advice would be strongly appreciated, thanks.
u already have the screen that says downloading.. just flash the official rom in the downloading screen with odin

Okay so I don't need to mess with fastboot? How would I go about that?
Okay I fixed it, I figured out how to do it. The only problem now is that the firmware I flashed was the wrong one, I used T-mobile instead of Metro pcs. Man I just want to use my phone again... Does anyone know where I can find the stock firmware for metro grand prime??

Flash a stock firmware using ODIN.
Make sure Samsung KIES or Smart Switch is installed on the PC for the USB drivers.
Put your phone into download mode, connect to a PC and download the stock firmware for your specific device model/location at sammobile.com
Once in ODIN select either PDA or AP (Depending on your ODIN) and choose the downloaded firmware .tar.md5 file.
Click start and wait for the process to finish. (Your phone should automatically reboot after it's finished.)
If all goes well it may take some time to start up so don't panic.
Hope you get it sorted. I know the feeling it's horrible!

CoreyOS,
Thank you as well! I have made sure to thank you too! I'm 34 and am trying to switch mine from Sprint to Straight Talk. If your willing to help, could you assist me in the process of doing so? I can get it rooted but Sprint updates continue to detect the modified Recovery and boot.img so that I everytime I reboot the phone, the boot-loop begins all over.
Kudos!

Unfortunately I don't own a J320P so I can't be of any help. You may need to get it carrier unlocked. Best bet then is to dig out a custom ROM and TWRP recovery from here. (Not certain about J320P ROMs etc). If you have the sc8930 chipset then at your own risk try a J320FN rom but be careful.

first of all, i need your firmware, your root method you tried. If you bootloop your phone you must flash the stock firmware through odin .. and then root with a legit way.

i am little bit confused, help me to help you ! Well , now your phone is bootlooped or no? If it is not , what rom do you have? stock one ?
You can try this method as well, because the method you tried needs to flash a custom rom . i do not like that kind of root method . For me first you flash twrp through odin, flash root, better magisk, and then flash your rom .

alright you are gonna need to flash stock rom from sammobile look the link bellow, but first create an account on sammobile . the process will take like 3 hours . after that you flash the stock rom, and boot your phone normally, enable dev option by tapping 7 times on build number on software information, then go to developer options and enable Usb debugging, get your phone on download mode by turning off your phone and pressing the power button, bixby button, and volume up to flash root . i think you know the process . i will be waiting for you reply.
search for your country and csc first. unless if you already have the firmware on you pc.

Galaxy S8 bricked - Stuck in boot loop after flashing twrp

Hey there everyone,
I wanted to root my s8 (sm-950f) and when I flashed twrp my phone initially got stuck in Samsung logo. After managing to shut it down I tried to go to recovery mode to wipe everything and perform a factory reset but I can not do it. All that happens is I get to s8 screen and it reads in red on top left of the screen "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" and it keeps resetting itself. I can access download mode but that's it, I can't do anything else. Currently downloading a stock firmware to try and flash it but with the free downloads it's taking its time. Any help appreciated, I really want to unbrick my phone
note: It shows FRP and OEM lock to be off in download mode, i dont even know if i'll even be able to flash a new fw. Do I just have a very expensive brick in my hands now?

This must be a international S8... Did you activate oem unlock in developer settings before flashing twrp
([emoji3590]09-09-18[emoji3590])
I'm not sure if it's international, it's most likely a Turkish version.
And yeah to your question

But you know for a fact that there's a twrp version for your device.... Not good to do these expensive phones like that without officially having all the facts

Well it's too late for that now, I need actual solutions. I also tried smart switch - it doesn't recognize the phone

On the xda thread for your device there aren't no stock roms uploaded to Android host for fast download so you can flash in Odin and start the process of twrp again or just leave it alone you have a S8 it's good money
([emoji3590]09-09-18[emoji3590])
WHEW. Flashing a stock firmware seems to have fixed the issue. Mods can lock the thread.

Just look in your device forum everything Is there however your device is a international cause it ends in with the F so twrp does work for your device..... You just need to find the specific one for your model once you have twrp you can install a android 9 custom rom

I had same issue as you and was pointed towards this thread may be of some use to you?

I had this problem too a year ago but wasn't able to reflash the official firmware, but when I went to Samsung they fixed it for free even though Knox was already tripped
