I have a SC-01F DoCoMo Note 3 that is running a rooted version of KitKat and I need to update this to Lollipop or Cynogenmod but I've heard that flashing DoCoMo devices have a different procedure. Can anyone guide me through this process or provide me links of guides. Thank you.

The ones I find are either to root the international version or for the S4 that is running an older version of Android. Can someone help me with finding a thread to root my phone?
There is no direct root method for kitkat. You will need to downgrade to MK2 and install a prerooted ROM.

I believe the Verizon phone has a locked bootloader which limits the available rom options.
